Beau, electrician from Comfort Electric, called to confirm appointment today. Arrived on time, was courteous, pleasant, performed said work professionally. Yet had 10% discount from Angie's List prior garage door did not offer.

Todd arrived on time and listened intently to our needs. He worked continuously & conscientiously. He explained additional charges in advance of doing them. I understand that the company's policy is to check the electrical box while on the job for other things & to advise as to what was found which might prove dangerous. It's the second time it has been done by this company but since we haven't been pressured, but rather, just advised, it's ok.

Electrician arrived on time. Did a nice clean installation. Had some recommendations for future work.

Aliso and Scott went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly. Very professional and great troubleshooting as my home was and still is a challenge to work on. Thank you. I appreciate their efforts and will for years to come, I hope.

It is so refreshing when you find a company and person dedicated to ensuring the job gets done right. That was certainly our experience with Todd K at Comfort Electric. To wire a ceiling fan correctly in our new house, this required Todd K to go to the attic, find the wire done incorrectly (by previous electricians) and determine the root cause of the issue. Most would have charged more for this time or recommended a more expensive solution ? especially given it was 95 degrees ? record in San Diego! By far the best service! Thank you for all you did for our house!

They did what they said they were going to do. It was shortly after I bought it, within a month. It was fine. He did trace all the circuits and then labelled the electrical panel. It was fine. I had to sort of coax him to label them more clearly. He did identify them but I wanted them clearly marked, eventually he did it. That was a good Deal. They came out when they said.

All work was completed quickly, but he has to go buy a junction box, conduit and a switch which I thought he should have carried on his truck. My main criticism is the price. The deal was $99 for $299 of services. I thought that should have covered the services performed but he charged and additional $300 which I feel was very high for the work done.

Todd had some out-of-the-box thinking to do while figuring out how to install the light and he did a great job.

It didn't go. Services were not performed as the company doesn't service North County San Diego.

The purchasing of the big deal was pretty straight forward. The scheduling was a little odd as there were some communications issues. Dates kept being given as being available, and then not, and it took longer than it should have. Not sure if their calendar system was broken. Anyway, finally figured out a time to come out, I was under the impression that the first person who came out was going to quote me on the work, and then schedule a time to complete. I'm sure it was in the fine print, or maybe not so fine print, that the first person who came out was to actually perform that work right then. Well, the electrician came out at 5pm and said the work was going to take 3 - 4 hours. No, that is NOT going to work. I have an 18 month old son who needs to sleep, and that was not going to work. When I asked to get it rescheduled the manager back at the office said it would be another 25 dollars. That's pretty awesome. So I rescheduled anyway. So the electrician scheduled a time to come back out and do the work during the day. When I came home that night to inspect the work, I noticed that the white and black wires coming out of the ceiling were skinned (as in the wire had copper showing). I called the electrician to come back to fix that issue, and he said he would call me back. Never heard back from him. So I wrapped it in electrical tape. But I am not happy with the work, and not happy with the company. I won't be using them again.

Heron arrived very promptly on a Friday afternoon for our appointment for the initial $35.00 whole house inspection. He was shown some issues we had with the home we are buying. The home was vacant so it was easy to see and evaluate all issues. After the inspection we were given a written estimate for around $6000.00. Of these items about $4000.00 were listed as needed and another $2000.00 as good to do. We opted for the entire $6000.00. Right away Heron started calling in his crew and said they would do the job right then. We left them to the job and at 6:00 that evening stopped by to be sure the home was locked. We were surprised to see 5 electricians working and initially impressed that they were so fast. Heron said they would finish that evening and would we settle the invoice. We gave him our credit card in good faith that the job would be finished that evening. We were surprised on Saturday when a single electrician arrived and said he was sent to finish up. He went to work as we were there to do some pre-move in chores. Around noon I was asked to talk to Heron on the phone. He explained that they found some additional issues that would cost $400. more. I said he was given ample time and opportunity to inspect and should have caught the problem. To his credit he agreed to absorb the extra work and I agree he could eliminate a couple of plugs in the garage to save him money and labor. The work was not completed on Saturday, or Sunday and they worked long into Monday. In the interim Heron lost the key I had given him to secure the property and I had to give them another. Since we are not electricians we are assuming the work was done properly and the issues we could see are done. Unfortunately they did not clean up after their work. I spent Tuesday morning sweeping up small pieces of copper wire and mopping up drywall dust from the areas they had to open walls. That is why I gave them a "D" for professionalism. I will never pay a bill again until I can see that the job was completed to my standards.

I had booked comfort for some room work and, a motion light in our drive way. I even spoke to the rep and ask them if they could do it the same day, no. but I went ahead and showed him where the motion light would be going. that was 9 days ago, over a week since they said they would be here to complete the work order. the charge is on my card but, so far no luck getting anyone to show up. Update continued: the work was completed to repletion in quick order. I went out to test the new light that evening, there was some malfunction. I called: next day, they were very amenable, and came out to fix the problem promptly. for people researching this deal. they installed the Model # DFI-5424-WH with FL bulbs. pretty bright. the light sells for 35.00 and is a decent product. denouement: I would have to say: fair, they did the work requested and corrected all problems accordingly. IMHO there was allowance to ameliorate in areas of: work completed, and products used. an extra socket or two, $10 more bucks for a more efficient product. would have advertised superlative initiative for their customers, and an excellent rating. that being said I would work them again, sometimes knowing your get fair work for a fair dollar is enough. Or I could roll the dice next time, and see what I get......

Landscape lighting was a mess. He spent time troubleshooting and replacing fixtures and wires to make lighting work again. That was so valuable to me to have someone who knows what he is doing and does it well.

Showed up on time, and did a good job as promised. Found some stuff that needs attended to and I will use them to fix it.

The installer was prompt, friendly and professional. The installation is good, not great. Total time spent was about 4 hours. In retrospect I should have researched a bit further before going with Comfort. I believe there are better deals out there. We paid $99 for the "deal" which was for $299 electrical services. So they are saying what they did was worth $822 ($299+$523) which seems crazy expensive. It's my fault though--they didn't make me go ahead with the work, I was in a hurry and made a questionable decision.

The whole process was relatively easy and fast. I would hire them again. However, it would help if we knew the cost of a specific service so that we can plan better.

Not great. They made the hole too big for the fan and it punctured the other side of the wall.
