The electrician called ahead of the appointment to confirm and let me know his estimated time of arrival. He came prepared with his tools and was very professional. The original estimate sized up the work to last 3 - 4 hours, but it was completed in under two hours. The job was completed to my satisfaction. Although this has little to do with the serviceman, I am some what dissatisfied with the pricing. $400 to install a light (on an existing switch) some 2 feet additional is steep. The coupon reduced the price, it would have been $500. Would use again only after warning them about the price.

First time to use Angie's List. It all went well. The total cost caught me by surprise. I wish I could've gotten just an estimate and able to shop around. I misunderstood the AD on Angie's List. I didn't think there would be any charges. To clarify the Ad: you are paying $99.00 for $100.00 discount because the AD say pay $99 for $199 of work. The Service was Excellent.

It went well. The job was completed on time and there was good communication during the project. The project was done in California and I am located in Washington DC. I was able to clearly understand what was being done and felt confident that the work would be completed on time and that there would be no issues. There were photos provided of the project.

Technician / electrician was prompt (on time), courteous, professional, and very competent. I would definitely use Comfort Electric again.

Receptacle was not larger than wall box. Good, but expensive!

Todd replaced 2 ceiling fans we had purchased at Home Depot. One was bad and had to be returned and replaced by Home Depot. My wife and I are both elderly. Todd stayed long enough to replaced the new fan and to make sure that my wife and I had a fan cooled bedroom on a very hot September night

Technician was late but did contact me to tell me.

Everything worked out better than expected. I wish all my service calls went this great. Will request Beau again.

Bo arrived earlier than scheduled appointment which was nice. He asked what I wanted done and provided different ideas and solutions. When a decision was made he quickly finished the job.

Electrician made a comprehensive report of the electrical system that is very useful.

They failed to honor an appointment TWICE. The first appointment was scheduled for 9/11, 9am-12pm arrival. A technician called at 11:55 am and informed me he was unable to arrive on time (and while I didn?t ask, apparently no other technician was available). Later in the evening, Comfort Electric called and we rescheduled for 9/23, 8am ? 10am arrival. On this rescheduled day, they never showed up and did not call. I have not heard from them since 9/11. This was a tremendously inconvenient waste of time in both cases since I had to take time off from work both times. Additionally, this was an Angie?s List ?Big Deal?: $99 for $299 of labor and materials. During the rescheduling call I was informed that there would be an additional charge of $50 beyond the $99 coupon cost. My job was relatively simple: approximately 1 hour of labor and $80 for materials (a conservative estimate based on Home Depot prices). The value of the coupon ($299) should have easily covered this work. So beware of Big Deal offers from Comfort Electric?classic bait & switch.

He up-sold us on outdoor outlets and a few other items like new fuses and kitchen/bath outlets. I guess that is not unexpected, but it wasn't until later that I learned that one part he charged us like $75, was sold at HD for less than $15 (not including the additional labor he added). In addition, he missed at least 3 "loose" plugs throughout the house, which is the main reason he came. He also allowed a "jury rigged" outlet to remain (the ex-owners put it in the garage for extra light). I later was told that it was dangerous and should have been sealed. So my issue is that they overcharged for parts/labor, they added things that probably weren't necessary, and they missed 2 very important safety issues - loose plugs and garage outlet!

went ok, but seems like they find a way to always get more money even if you buy a $299 deal with angie's list. so it feels like a bait and switch tactic

Electrician showed up on time and was pleasant. He installed the light fixture quickly, and everything looked fine. He told me my circuit box should be replaced because many of the fuses looked old and I might start having problems. Since the house had recently been inspected when I purchased it, I felt he was trying to upsell. Declined his offer, even though he said I could lose all my power or have a fire ignite. After he left I noticed a crack in the mirror, which spread to a few inches in length. I decided to cover the crack with s sticker instead of trying to get reimbursement.

Excellent all the way through. Beau was the best.
