The technician arrived at the agreed upon day and time. He was very friendly and professional and completed the project in a very satisfactory manner. I really liked the service provider and will definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Contractor was later but courteous but when I got the estimate for work needed, it was 3 times the amount of a precious estimate I got from another electrician. I believe that the provider was over-inflating their estimate plus some to account for the coupon savings therefore therefore I prefer to go with another company that doesn't try to price gouge their customers.

Description of Work: Eddie the owner was fantastic! At his own expense, he sent in an experience, professional team to correct the mistakes made. His employee made a mess of the 'cutout' in the bathtub, which had to be completely redone. He also did not bother to contain the bathroom by taping a plastic sheet to enclose and contain the dust from the sanding, which allowed 'dust' to settle on everything item in the two bedroom condo. Again, Eddie was GREAT, as he sent in a cleaning team after the tub cutout and refinish was complete. I believe the problem was they were inundated by the success of the Angie's List ad, and had to quickly hire inexperienced people to do a craftsman's job, to accommodate the flood of business. I respect Eddie and would work with him only again.

They installed 3 outside lights which took about an hour and I was charged $99/per light which translated to $300 for an hour's work. He then identified some upgrades that I should consider, which were quite costly. I didn't feel like this was one of my better Angie's List purchases.

Description of Work: Comfort Electric could not install my bathroom lights until a week later. I had no lights in my bathroom and could not wait that long. They were very polite and I would call them in the future.

Description of Work: They found repairs amounting to $4000. I had them do $900 in addition to the $99 I had already paid. I found an electrician who was extremely less expensive to do the rest of the work. I have paid him $1500 for all the things that were estimated by the other electrician, plus some additional things. He did label my electric box which was covered by the $99, but I would not recommend him to do the additional work he finds. He is too expensive.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $79 for an electrical service call and whole-house electrical inspection--includes labor. There was one electrician here doing the work. Scheduling an appointment was fine. He used up the time wisely.

Description of Work: I purchased a $39 deal for a Whole-House Electrical Inspection. They came out to do an electrical inspection before I left for vacation. He wrote up a date and what needed to be done when I returned. I called the day before to confirm and got nothing but an answering machine and no return call. They never showed up or called to do the work, which luckily I hadn't paid for. So I would definitely not recommend them.

(the house is over 30 years old) When he came out to discuss what needed to be done to get the results we wanted - he was very knowledgeable and I am very happy with the results and the price. I would highly recommend this company.....

Description of Work: I bought the big deal on Friday Aug. 15 and tried to use the scheduling system where I suggested 3 days/times. I received an email the following week telling me to call them. I called and got a machine where I left a voice message. They did not return the phone call that day, so I emailed them to ask about the times that I suggested. The next day, the response was that the times were not available, but suggested a day 2 weeks later when I was unavailable. I called again and left another message asking for a return phone call. They finally called me and we agreed on a day ~ 3 weeks after I bought the deal. In the meantime I called someone else and they came the following day to fix the electrical issue. So I cancelled my appt with Comfort Electric and would like a refund.

Description of Work: Overall Good. Good workmanship, professional. However, Overpriced... Angies List Big Deal 79.00 for 249.00 worth of work, but placed a premium price on all work.. Install one small light fixture and adjusted an outlet. Stated normal hanging a light was $300 and they were doing us a "big" favor by not charging us extra. Gave a unsolicited bid for work we didn't ask for or even want done. Classic Angie Big Deal Scam of baiting you with very low price special then once they get there foot in the door then tell you everything you "need" (don't) because your house will fall apart and life will end as we know it.. |ps: I know the game, I am a contactor..
