Description of Work: The provider never contacted me when I purchased the coupon. Angie's list emailed me and asked if they had contacted me. I emailed back "no" and gave them new dates I would be available. Waited another week and finally called them to set up an appointment. When they answered the phone it was "Hello", not a normal business response...I set up an appointment on November 10th. I showed the where I wanted the electrical box (with 5 feet as required) and they told me it would require conduit on the front of my house. No thanks! I told the electrician it would not work and he told me to call the office for a refund. They said I had to call Angie's list for the refund. I was told by Angie's list Customer Service it was over 30 days so I could not have a refund. Really !!!??? The company NEVER contacted me . I was the one who was proactive in getting any type of appointment at all.

Description of Work: He did exactly what was stated on the coupon. He then gave us a list of some problems and price if he fixed them. We will probably call him when we finish some other work. He as very professional and did not push any extra fixes.

Description of Work: On the bad side they were to install an outside electric box for a special price of $99. |The connection for this was on the inside wall, so it was a matter of connectiong straight thru the wall to the outside. But - they had to run approx. 5' of ground wire encased in small dia. plastic tube, plus a better water proof outlet then the one included in their deal. This was $170., which was assumed to be the total cost. Come to find out this amount was over & above the original cost, hence an amount of $269. We feel the added cost to be extremely high. |On the good side,the technician was professional, knew his job and did all of his own clean-up. |All in all did great job, but watch out for "add on work" requirement pricing.

Description of Work: Heron was very helpful and professional. And most importantly he was honest and had a lot of integrity. He was willing to stay until almost midnight to finish the work so that I would not fall behind schedule. I would definitely use him again.

Description of Work: They looked at my sockets and repaired about 3 of them - the only thing that concerns me is that this was on a coupon. It was supposed to be for $299 worth of service. So in the future, I would expect to pay a lot, but not have that much work done. What they did was of good quality - I had told them about my sockets upstairs - they said they were fine, but one of them does not charge my upstairs phone - perhaps he did not notice that one. Cost would be my concern, but I would use them again.

Description of Work: I feel the price was rather high for a job that took less than an hour that wasn't excessively difficult. I think the bid price was inflated to compensate for the Daily Deal coupon price.

Description of Work: Installed circuit extention with GFICwith cover, which we did not need, as the plug plate was in the house. We paid $99 for $299 of work. We paid an additional $91.00 for a job that we felt should not have cost $390.00.

Description of Work: Comfort Electric installed 2 junction boxes under the eaves of our house. These replaced old, (not-to-code) wiring. The job was definitely done to my satisfaction. The boxes work and the house has not burned down. What more could I ask? Well, just one thing. I like it when workmen clean up after themselves, and our man left electrical tape and trimmings on the deck; but that's a small, very small, complaint.

Description of Work: 3 weeks after we paid for a breaker panel labeling service from Comfort Air and Electric (they were supposed to contact us within 2 business days), we finally called them. They didn't know why we were not contacted (poor organization). We were told that they would arrive between 3 and 5 PM on Wed, Oct 8. One person finally arrived at 6 without a call, saying he would be late( poor communication). He stated that this was a 2 person job, but he came alone as it was added on to his schedule at the last minute (poor organization). By 8 PM he had to stop working because it was too dark to see what he was doing and I ended up doing the 2nd mans' job, telling him when the power was off or on at each outlet (poor planning, bad timing). He said he would return Friday Oct 10 between 9 AM and 11 AM with a second person to finish the job. When they had not arrived by 12, I called the lead person on his personal phone. By 1 PM I called the companies main line. By 4 PM he called and said somehow I wasn't put on the schedule, but he would pick up a second person and be right over (poor planning and organization). Again they didn't arrive until 6 PM. It took 2 more hours to finish the job. They had to ask me for items that they should have provided to adequately complete the task (labels for the panel, Windex, scissors, clear tape, etc---not prepared to do the job, makes me think they have never done this before). In the end the panel was accurately labeled. They found one bad breaker, which they replaced and as I expected they recommended that the entire panel be refurbished at the tune of $1,575. I declined the offer, having lost confidence that they could do a decent and honest job. | |Dr Sanders

Description of Work: They just did an AC tune up; but I liked how they did not try to upsell or point out a need for new services. They validated the strong condition of our system and did what they said they would do.
