We looked later and saw that the plug itself is only $15.00. Angie's list price was 79.00 for his services but he added $350.00 when he got here. We totally got hosed. Tried to tell us our electric panel needs work until I to him my husband was retired SDG&E and he then changed his story.

Description of Work: They moved a chandelier and a can light (switched locations), and rewired the chandelier to accommodate a longer drop wire/chain. This rewiring was an unexpected, additional time requirement but they saw the job through to completion the same day. We were very satisfied with their work and will use them again. The only negative was that after purchasing the $149 Angie's List deal, this company offered a $49 deal for the same service!

One very serious one was an outlet that had melted due to overload and incorrect installation There were many repairs and replacements needed in the house and in the circuit breaker outside. He went through the entire house to check that everything was okay. I am more than pleased with the work he did.

Description of Work: They called on the way here to ask what service I required. I told them I had two switched outlets that had not been split and I needed that fixed. When the electrician arrived, rather than take my word for what was needed or even looking to see if I was correct, he told me the price would be $478 for troubleshooting and I would therefore owe $229.00. However he would do one for me at no additional cost which he did. Took him about 15 minutes to actually do the work which was exactly as I had told him. I feel ripped off and that he should have done both outlets as no trouble shooting was involved in this at all.

I am certain that the diagnostic should have easily been covered for the advertised troubleshoot cost. Description of Work: Removed ceiling light, replaced with fan light, moved removed ceiling light to bedroom and replaced existing bedroom light. Replaced exterior GFI receptacle. Installed interior hallway 3-way switch. Trouble-shot exterior motion light and receptacle and replaced sensor.

Description of Work: Replaced very old bathroom exhaust fan with a new one. Because the style of the old fan and the size of the opening were different and entailed additional work, they charged me an extra $170 (which I thought was a little high) in addition to the $149 I had paid Angie's List for the special deal coupon. Otherwise, the work was done professionally and to my satisfaction.
