Description of Work: I choose to upgrade the bathroom fan to a larger fan. however, when Ted cut the overhead dry wall, it was larger than the bathroom fan to be installed. To compensate the gap, he taped the gap around the fan. He then told me that for extra charge, he can come back and repair the drywall for $75.00. Because I was not satisfied, I asked my daughter to contact the company of what had have happened. To make the story short. the company made the repair without further charges. Because of this experience, the company should tell the customer what is not covered during the installation.

Description of Work: This was over a year ago, but since you asked for my opinion here it is. Showed up at 530 PM instead of 9AM as promised. Waited for them all day. First thing they told me is that the $299 coupon I purchased would only cover the removal and installation of one ceiling fan. Did the work OK, but then quoted me a couple of thousand to move some plugs around and install an outlet. I subsequently had the work done by another company for $400.

Description of Work: The company installed my self provided ceiling fan in my living room, where there was no fixture prior & also they installed my self provided replacement bathroom fan in my powder room. | | |The up charge over the "Big Deal" was $379 more. The 'Deal' was $99 for $300 of electrical work to be preformed. The access to the ceiling was very easy. So this up charge was much higher than expected. Also, the estimate to install the bathroom fan was very high. He did lower the price for the bathroom when I declined the work, so I had it done just to get the job completed, but I feel I was over charged. He also didn't leave the warentry information that came with the ceiling fan & he took the remote control for the ceiling fan, which was especially irritating.

Description of Work: There was no picture of the unit they were selling. My fan was incorporated in a light unit, and theirs was not... they tried to down grade me and Mickey Mouse my fixture. This was a bait and switch as far as I was concerned. The young man they sent out was pleasant and courteous, but was caught between me and the company he worked for.

All the electrician was replace 3 of my security lights. My regular electrician was on vacation and would have done the work for $65/hr. for $130...$287 less than I paid...ridiculous. I just got out of the hospital and I needed to get this done. Never again.

Description of Work: They put in a bathroom fan that we had purchased. They gave us a $20 credit because we provided our own fan. They were at the latter end of the promised time window, but since we live in a rural area they did well to get there when they did.

The "kid" showed up for appt.. walked around my house for about 5 min and was ready to go, he basically did nothing until I told him to do what was on the Angie's list, he didn't even know what he was there for as I have found with most companies that I have purchased on Angie's. | |Not Angie's fault but whenever books the appt. | |I told him to check a certain plug and he said it was working ok but he should probably replace it if I had a problem. $79.00 to replace a plug that took me 3 min. I declined and he was then ready to go, I then called hi on some others things gain smoke detectors etc all on the list the I purchased. He then called his boss spent another 5 min and I just said "GO"! Wasn't worth the headache of babysitting. Again, save you money go buy your own plug tester and do it yourself.

Description of Work: NEEDED LINE RUN 3 FEET FROM CIRCUIT BREAKER BOX TO INSIDE WALL. SAID PRICE WOULD BE 1600 MINUS COUPON. HAD JOB DONE BY ANOTHER ELECTRICIAN THE NEXT DAY FOR $540.

Description of Work: The work was great and exactly what I asked for. The only problem was that the appointment had to be rescheduled at the last minute because the assigned electrician was stuck on another job. Ultimately, the work was rescheduled with another electrician for the following day and it was done very well. I would work with Comfort Electric again in the future.
