Due to an earlier job that went over, he contacted me frequently to update sliding times, very proactive. I wasn't pressed for time on the appointment, so I was fine with the delays. Arrived much later than initially quoted, but he was very thorough and explained the estimates and required work to be performed. Discovered a new code requirement and explained the risks. Very competent, professional, and efficient. Definitely will work with them to correct my code violation and any other upcoming electrical work.

It went great. Where we once had no outlet, we now have four! Very happy with the work!

I do not understand all the high ratings for this place. Let me start by saying Evelyn, the receptionist , is one of the most unprofessional employees I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. I told her my name , a common womens first name, about 10 times but she kept calling me by another name. I am in the process of remodeling my home and decided to change the color of approx. 30 electrical outlets and switches. I had already purchased all the hardware I needed to do the work, but was running out of time to do it before having the interior painted. I called several other licensed , A rated Electricians on Angies List and was quoted a price of $10 per outlet or switch, with the electrician supplying the materials. Which was fine, I could have just returned the items to Home Depot that I had already purchased. The problem was no one could come and do the job that day or the next. I called Comfort Electric at 9 am and explained the situation to Evelyn and asked for a price over the phone. This seems like a VERY SIMPLE job that electricians would do routinely. I can not think of anything easier for a licensed Electrician than replacing an outlet that works perfectly just due to a color change. Evelyn had NO earthly idea what her company would charge, but told me someone would call me back within the hour and could come out and do the work that day. After TWO hours of no return call, I called Evelyn back. I identified myself and she immediately called me the wrong name again even though I had just told her my correct name 5 seconds ago. She told me she could not get a hold of her employee, but ** I ** could call the supervisor. Huh ???? Isnt that HER job ??? I don't want to spend my time trying to track down 'supervisors' to try to answer as to why their employee has not called me back. I told Evelyn that I did not want to start making a bunch of phone calls , and if they were still interested in quoting the job , to have someone call me that day. She assured me someone wuld be calling me back momentarily. About 5 pm I received a call from someone identifying themselves as being with Comfort Electric. I explained my situation, that I had 30 outlets and switches I wanted changed out due to color only, all were working perfectly , and indicated I had already purchased my own materials, so he could either use mine or use his own, and asked for a price. I was quoted a total price of $960 to INSTALL 30 OUTLETS. That is over $30 an outlet, and that was using MY materials. Again, I was quoted $10 per outlet by other licensed electricians, using THEIR materials. Thinking there was a misunderstanding about the work I needed done, I asked how long he estimated the job would take . He told me 5-6 hours. Which comes out to about $150-$200 an HOUR FOR LABOR ONLY TO CHANGE AN OUTLET COVER. I then told him "no thanks. those prices are CRAZY high, and more than THREE TIMES the price I have been quoted by several other electricians". His response ? "Well, we may not be the cheapest (the understatement of the year), but we are the best". Me thinks NOT. I would avoid this unprofessional, RIP OFF outfit like the plague.

Gave a whole house look at electrical, made sure everything was functioning properly & that all was safe. Reconnected smoke detector, then wired speakers through ceiling to meet other wires & receiver.

The technician only asked what I called for and only looked at what I said was wrong. When I asked for him to check out the outlets he did find a bad one and was happy to add to estimate but should of checked without me asking.

Guy who came was fine - I didn't use him for what I wanted which was to install a fan light and a couple chandeliers because it would end up costing well over $1,000 (after the deal I purchased) so just had him put in a couple ikea ceiling lights (was planning on doing those myself) which used up the special I purchased which was $99 for $199 worth of services. I ended up doing the other stuff on my own. $200 to put up 2 simple Ikea ceiling lights is a bit much.

I was impressed with the service. I chose Comfort Electric through an Angie's Deal. It made the decision easy and I feel that I received good value. The good experience started with a rapid response to my purchase of the deal. The gal I spoke with to set up the appointment was pleasant and responsive. The electrician that did the work, Derrick, was personable, cost conscious and eager to please. The only area of my experience that was not great was the scheduling aspect. My first appointment was canceled, due to one of their trucks breaking down. Then Derrick arrived after the three hour window of my rescheduled slot. This issue did not cause me much trouble since I am retired. If I would have had to take time off work, though, it would have been a different story. I only gave a few points off for that issue, though, because they seemed more like things cropping up in the course of business rather than shoddy performance. I would recommend Comfort Electric and I will use them again myself when I need some help with electrical maintenance.

badly. they were due between 2-5 and they came at 5:30 and stayed until past OUR bedtime. We bought a big deal coupon but it said money toward the price. the actual price of the work was outrageous. they scratched our brand new hardwood floor. they said they will pay but it is hard to get someone back in to tear up our floor 3 months after it was put in. i am disgusted with them.

Todd was outstanding!! He was detailed oriented and made sure he got the job done right. He explained everything he was about to do to get my approval before starting. He made some outstanding suggestions for things I might want to think about for the future. I will have Todd and Comfort Electric do future work for me.

No complaints ... punctual and friendly.

Comfort Electric determined that burned out circuit breakers were the cause of our inoperable spa and sprinkler system. They offered me the option of trying to replace only the burned out breakers if they could find enough unburned space on the bus bar or totally replacing the whole 46-year-old unit. We opted for total replacement. They worked from about 9:00 am to midnight, refusing to leave until we had our electricity back on. It took so long because the old electrical box was very hard to remove from our stucco and brick house. We discovered in subsequent days that not everything was back on, so they had to come back several times to fix it. Finally, everything worked.

Everything went very smoothly and on time, actually he took less time then estimated.

Comfort Electric was running 40 min. late But called well in advance to warn us and they gave us a discount on the install for the delay. The electrician was knowledgeable and detailed. Install went perfectly and quick. There was no mess left. We would not hesitate to call them out again.

They showed up on time and explained different options for repair. Don't pressure us into extra service. Repair work was done fast and professional.

Inspection went fine. It was recommended to replace all plugs and switches. I decided to have someone else do the job because the price was considerably lower, but the gentleman seemed very nice. If I had an electrical problem, I would consider hiring them in the future.

$49 for an hour of labor is a good deal but when comfort electric came out they wanted a ton of money for simple services. They wanted $115 to replace a socket that costs under $10 at Home Depot. They wanted $415 to look at a faulty socket!!! They wanted $415 to look at a spare room where there is a short somewhere. This was not to fixit but just to look at it! They did end up replacing 5 sockets with the outlets I'd provided and charging me the ridiculous $115 for the socket they provided. The electrician did not clear up after himself. I did not enjoy my first Angie's list special deal
