I found them on Angie's List and it was a positive experience. They are very responsive and the products are great. The price was reasonable and I will use them again in the future.

Provided excellent selection and helped with good advice on final selection. Installation done by a 3rd party was also excellent. Both parties very professional. There was an issue/miscomunication with the cord selection and owner followed up and was willing to ensure blinds were to my satisfaction. Also followed up to ensure I had Hunter D. tax rebate and company rebate documents. Will use again.

They showed up right on time and setting up an appointment was easy. They knew what they were talking about and offered several options at several price levels. They always called when they said they would and the work was completed on time and as promised. Overall very smooth without any problems at all.

Perfect. Could not have been better. We found Scotblinds on Angie's List and felt comfortable contacting them, given their excellent reviews. We were not disappointed! Alan was great giving us advice and answering all our questions. The quality of shutters was excellent and the installation was most professional and flawless. My only "complaint" (jokingly) was they showed up exactly at 10 o'clock (the estimated time window was between 10 AM and Noon), and I wasn't quite expecting that.

We were very happy with the work ScotBlinds did. They had many, many samples of materials and provided good guidance on choosing. The installation was done very carefully. They were always prompt and totally reliable. It was a pleasure to do business with them -- not only do they do high quality work, but also Alan and Lillian are delightful people.

Scot Blinds provided excellent service and product quality. They offered helpful advice in the selection process and seemed to have all the products that I would have wanted to see. Their prices were comparable to another highly rated Angie's List merchant, whom I was strongly considering. But I chose to go with Scot Blinds because I liked their product better -- plus they matched the pricing of the competitor. Even when one blind had to be replaced twice due to a manufacturer defect, Scot Blinds took care of the problem without hesitation. Because the manufacturer's defect could not be cured, Scot Blinds gave us a more expensive product without additional charge. I should also add that you will never meet a funnier pair of (married) salespeople. Putting aside their delightful Scottish accent, their stories and non-stop banter will have you rolling.

I initially decided to work with Scotblinds rather than another highly regarded Angie's List company because 1) I felt Lilian was more informative and responsive and 2) Scotblinds attempts to use local companies for their products rather than foreign imports, and 3) their prices were slightly better. I am so glad I chose them, because Scotblinds provided the best customer service I have experienced in a very, very long time. I really won't be able to summarize all of the ways they impressed me, but I will highlight a few. First, they were meticulous in explaining the pros and cons of different window treatment options, even when the cons turned me off from a particular product. I never once felt they were trying to make a sale, but instead that they were sincerely interested in making sure I got the very best product that would suit my needs and leave me satisfied. I waffled on my decision on one of the plantation shutters when I found out about some limitations on the panel doors (due to the size of the window) and they were extremely patient and understanding. I also appreciated that Lilian matched the price I found for the roman shade online, without so much as a quibble! Their price had already been lower than the other A.L. company. When my products arrived, there were unfortunately a few problems discovered upon installation. One of the panel doors did not hang properly on one plantation shutter, and Scotblinds immediately sent the local company representative out to fix the problem. They made me a new panel and it was installed with no further problems. The Roman shade's vertical seams were slightly uneven, which was identified by Scotblind's installer. To be honest, I couldn't even tell until he pointed it out to me. Lilian insisted that the manufacturer make me a brand new blind without sending back the original (normally the procedure) because we needed the privacy in my child's room. The fact that she did this without me asking really impressed me! Finally, some of the slats in the faux wood blinds were chipped on the edges, apparently due to the saw blade being dull. They were only noticeable on close inspection and I actually felt bad for complaining about such a small detail, but Lilian's response was that I did not pay for an imperfect product and that it should be fixed. It was actually quite a hassle to get these slats replaced, and in the end I requested that I just receive a discount instead of replacement of the slats. I don't know how she did it, but Lilian got the company to discount the blinds about 40% off. I obviously would have preferred for each product to arrive in perfect condition, but I was very, very happy with how Scotblinds handled each hiccup. They advocated more for me than I would have for myself, and I am a demanding customer. They have earned a loyal customer.

They arrived on time and listened carefully to what I was looking for and considered my budget. They scheduled delivery and installation. When the shades were delivered, there was a problem in one of the shades with a small knot in the fabric that most people wouldn't have seen. All the others were fine. They reordered a new shade and I wasn't charged until I was completely satisfied. Lilian stayed in touch and did everything possible to make sure I was happy and even told me where I could find accent pillows the same color as the shades.

We were extremely pleased with Scott Blinds. Alan and Lilian are a joy to work with. This married couple truly work together as a team, making sure that we were happy at every step of the way. They are warm, friendly,and accommodating, yet extremely professional. They spend a good deal of time with us, and responded quickly to all our requests. The window treatments turned out great, at a reasonable price. I really appreciated that they didn't play "games." They were honest in their estimate and were clear about their recommendations. I was also extremely pleased with their installer, Jerry, who not only did a great and professional job, he did so quickly and cheerfully. There was one window that was a bit problematic. It is a large. picture window in our bedroom. The room-darkening blinds allowed some light to leak in around the edges. Jerry informed Alan of our problem, who immediately contacted us with a solution. Alan, himself, came and spent over an hour installing thin strips to help block the light, without hurting our beautiful view. Again - I highly recommend Scott Blinds!

Scot Blinds is owned by a delightful couple named Lilian and Alan Reoch. They were very helpful and informative during our selection process. They used a local (San Diego) manufacturer and their prices seemed better than Hunter Douglas. The installers were quick and very skilled at what they do. I would definitely call Scot Blinds again for any kind of blinds, shades, shutters, etc.

Alan and Lillian are wonderful and I felt like they were friends. They really went above and beyond in working with me and my unpredictable schedule. When I was finally able to have the window coverings installed, the installer set the appointment up and came out and did a good job of installing the blinds. The paint on my freshly painted ceiling did get scratched and I felt the installer should have offered to touch it up. The installer did a great job of noting any problems with the blinds (which there were not many, maybe only 3) and someone was out there to fix it right away. Overall I am really pleased and would definitely do business with Scot blinds again.

I didn't hire them because the didn't have the exact product I wanted, but I would definitely call them again. They were very pleasant and professional, and the prices were very good. Their follow-up was great, and they were easy to work with.

Excellent. It took a little longer to get them than we were told, but other than that, it was a good experience.

I found ScotBlinds on Angie's List. I contacted them and they visited and gave us ideas and estimates. With the advice of Alan and Lilian Reoch, we selected a covering we liked and ordered it. A couple of weeks later, it was installed. We found that the covering needed to be moved slightly and they were quick to return and make the adjustment. Alan and Lilian were superb throughout the process. ScotBlinds is very highly recommended.

Lillian & Jerry arrived as scheduled and worked with us to find a window treatment solution for our TV/Rec room. We wanted to see across the canyon yet be able to watch TV & read when the sun was present. We also needed access to the deck and wanted an unobstructed view with the blinds up or down. They suggested a number of options and agreed on the Roller shade solution. No pressure, extremely warm and helpful. We made a deposit with a check and ordered the shades. A call from the installer came a few weeks later and the blinds were expertly installed as scheduled. A bill for the balance arrived a week or so later and we mailed a check. Shortly after we received a thank you note. Very classy Company.

Mr. Reoch arrived at the exact time for appointment. Listened to my needs and had many suggestions and the exact fix for my problem. Very helpful in selecting design and pattern. Shades installed on schedule and reasonable price.

Aside from Alan's Scottish humor, I would highly recommend Scotblind's! They came highly recommended from my brother. I have referred them to numerous other clients and they love how their homes have turned out. They are priced very competitively, and have great products to choose from.

Lillian and Alan arrived right on time for their initial appointment. For one window, they sent samples of the material to be used for us to review. Following the order, the work was completed as scheduled. When we found one minor glitch caused by the factory they worked REALLY hard to correct and did so very quickly. The resulting product and work is excellent. We did get a quote from a competitor that came in at a higher price for a lesser product. We would highly recommend Scotblinds. We would certainly use them again if we had any windows left!

My husband and I are very picky customers. We had Alan and Lilian come over, and we told them exactly what we wanted in 4 different rooms. Our living and dining room window treatments needed to be replaced. Then we showed them the master bedroom and master bathroom. After the measurements were taken, Lilian brought in her samples and catalogs and made a few suggestions. Then from there, my husband and I made our choices. They told us how many days it would take to complete the job. They told us what we needed to do the day of the installation of our window treatments. The installer came over and completed the job on a timely basis. After the job was completed, Lilian came over and inspected the work and asked us if we were satisfied with the workmanship of the product. We told her we were extremely happy with our new window coverings!! We will hire Scotblinds again for the family room and our guest bathroom.

Alan and Lilian were on time for our first meeting. Both were sincerely polite, and good listeners. I explained what I wanted for the windows, which could not be done due to lack of space between the window and sink. After sensing my disappointment, both made very concrete and sound suggestions, which convinced me to order the blinds. We spent the time necessary to select a fabric for the laminates, never rushed. The work was to be ready for installation within 10 days, and it was. In addition, a last minute request was accommodated without a fuss. After the laminates were hung, a few days later there was an accident by a house guest. When I reported this, the problem was remedied, in a timely manner, and without charge. All phone calls were returned promptly. I highly recommend this company, not only for their reasonable cost, but because of their fine customer service. I was more than pleased.
