Description of Work: Great work from a company that was very responsive to questions and concerns -- even after we paid.

Description of Work: Asbestos abatement and painting. They did an acceptable job. They weren't the cheapest of the bids we got, nor were they the most expensive. Do wish they'd been more communicative as to when to expect what work would be done (e.g., drywall removal and replacement were on different days, followed by painting several days later). Would have liked to know that going in so we could have adjusted a few things, but overall, acceptable job (hence the C).

Description of Work: San Diego Abatement did a WONDERFUL job removing our acoustic (1410 sqf. with asbestos) ceilings. They also removed a pony wall and painted our dining room. Plus retextured and painted the ceiling in our kitchen. | |Shawn was professional and very detailed about the process. San Diego Abatement took this job seriously and took every measure to make sure the asbestos was contained. | |When other companies were telling us we would have to remove absolutely EVERYTHING from our home to have an abatement done, Shawn came in and told us we could leave all the large items and they would cover it all safely. He was realistic and made us feel so much better when we were feeling quite overwhelmed. We LOVE our new ceilings and we couldn't be happier! | |A couple months later, we decided to have wood look tile installed in the downstairs of our home, which is approximately 1900 sqf. We called Shawn and he came over the next day and had the best price from three other competitors. Our floors look AMAZING! | |San Diego Abatement is a top notch company. Description of Work: Test, treat

Description of Work: I contacted SDAS to remove popcorn ceilings in four bedrooms, refinish, and also to remove an 8'x3' pony wall separating the kitchen and living room. The initial estimate went fast and the owner was helpful and succinct with his advice on my wall removal. The work was done very quickly, the staff was very friendly, and the price was great. My issues are small, but were a little annoying: One closet was left unfinished and one still has the popcorn in it. Not huge as I'm probably not going to install anything in either closet but that was part of the contract, I believe. Also, came home one day to a lot of hazmat (wrapped in bags) sitting outside. They should've let me know ahead of time that stuff was going to picked up at a later date. Lastly, they removed the drywall from a column that didn't need to be removed so I have to refinish it myself. As I said, none of these things in themselves are a big deal. The company is great and I would use them again and also recommend their services. The small issues I had/have could've been mitigated with a follow up call or survey of some sort but instead I'm leaving feedback here. You'd think those things would be standard for a business today.

Description of Work: I had a slab leak. In order to repair it they had to remove my vinyl. Underneath the vinyl there was asbestos in the glue hat WAS USED TO GLUE THE ORIGINAL Vinyl. This process took about 7 hours.

Description of Work: Asbestos Tile and Mastic Abatement. Took about 1 week, start to finish. Some cleaning solution residue was left in closet areas. I opted for independent testing afterwards-- otherwise there's no way of knowing if fibers got airborne or on ceilings and walls.

Description of Work: I called San Diego Painting to remove drywall in a bedroom, to check for structural damage, to install insulation, and to replace and repaint the drywall.

Description of Work: We had our asbestos siding removed, along with shingles that contained lead to prepare for a foundation repair on our 1914 home.

Description of Work: TOOK OFF ACOUSTIC CEILING AND FINISHED WITH ORANGE PEEL TEXTURE.
