They're fabulous. I've used them multiple times and they're great. He actually told me that if I went back to the company that they could probably save me some money and that I could probably negotiate with them to get a better deal than what he could do for the part. He was absolutely right. I saved a bunch of money. They ended up giving me the part free and discounting the labor. I was very grateful to him and he never even charged me for the visit. I lost my husband three years ago. I've used him several times for small projects that probably my husband could have fixed. I had a problem with my dishwasher, he had to put a new motor in. I had a burned out element in one of my ovens, I have a double oven. I have a wine cellar and he helped me with the compressor. I've only met one person. I think he is just a small time, I don't think he has any employees. I think it's him and he is just excellent. I'm very, very, pleased with him. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for somebody reasonable. He is a man with just high integrity that was looking out for me. He could have ripped me off and told me, "Yes, I can repair it. It will cost me $350 for the part and here is my labor," and I would have paid it. As it turned out, I got the part for nothing from GM because they admitted that that year was a defective year for this particular product and then they discounted the labor. I even texted him and told him what kind of a deal I had gotten and he wrote back and said, "Good job, see you next time." I haven't needed him since then, but I would certainly call him, a very honorable man.

Chris knew the model's issues and how to test it. He recommended doing a test and if it showed no error code, getting an appointment for a low-cost repair. If the test showed an error code the repair cost would be about the cost of a new washer, and he recommended buying a new washer. Got an error code and bought a new washer. Appreciate his knowledge and recommending what was in the customer's best interest.

Repairman came the same day I called and knew right away what the problem was; work took 20 min.

Chris did a terrific job, gave us great advice for the future and left us with a good feeling.

He showed up that evening with no complaints, diagnosed the problem and had a fix working within an hour. This guy is good! Price was a bit high but involved replacing a circuit board from GE. But still way less than a brand new $1500 fridge.

I called Chris and explained the problem---dishwasher not draining. He asked a few questions, explained that he needed to order the part, and gave me an estimate of the cost. The part arrived the next day and we set up an appointment. Chris called to say he was on his way, arrived early (YAY!!), and spent less than an hour repairing my dishwasher. He tested it, gave me some advice on how to keep it in good working order, cleaned up the work area, presented his bill (exactly what he quoted over the phone), and VOILA, my dishwasher was fixed. I was very pleased with the entire transaction and highly recommend Chris. He is ethical, very pleasant, and extremely skilled in his profession.

Overall great service and repair. Called and explained the problem (noise) that we were having with the freezer and set up a mutually agreeable time. Showed up on time, went straight to work and fixed the problem quickly with no mess. Overall very professional, personable and seems to really know his appliances and will call him next time we have an appliance issue.

Chris Martz, the owner, came on time, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts needed, then returned a few days later with the parts and completed the repair in a prompt manner. Chris Martz is simply awesome. My Bosch dishwasher had stopped draining and when I contacted the Bosch Customer line, I was told the soonest they could come was nearly two weeks out and between 9 am and 5pm!!! My water filter system also broke and I had a mini flood in my under sink cabinet. I looked on Angie's List and found Pacific Beach Appliance Repair. I was told they could come the following day between a 2-hour window. Chris Martz came and had my Bosch dishwasher running in minutes. He took time to really give me tips as to what to do if it happened again and really went out of his way checking on my filter system. Two days later, I saw a small link in my under-sink cabinet so I called him again. He was in the neighbourhood so he came within the hour and found what was wrong and fixed it, again super quick, super professional! I really hope I don't get any further problems with my appliances but if I do, PB Appliance Repair is the company I will call! Thanks again.

s well.The washer had some oil underneath it which I ignored for months then thought I should get checked. He came two days after I called. On the phone Chris said the problem could probably be ignored and was not urgent, but he could replace the seal for $100. I decided to have it replaced so he did, and told me my 12-year-old Kenmore is much better quality than its replacement model and should last me at least ten more years. I hope he's right! He helped clean up the oil on the floor too.

Chris responded quickly, was very helpful, and fixed my problem. He was a pleasure to deal with. I'll call him again next time I have a problem.

He arrived within hours and quickly diagnosed a leak in my whole house water purification system that feeds the washing machine. Although he didn't end up fixing my washing machine, he told me exactly what needed to be done to fix the leak. I will definitely call him again if I need an appliance repaired.

Chris responded the same day that I emailed him through Angies List. He came just when he said he would. He diagnosed the problem in about 10 seconds. I could barely believe it. He had the replacement part on the truck. He finished the job in no time. He was polite, professional and punctual. What more can you ask? I would definitely use him again.

I sent a message to PACIFIC BEACH APPLIANCE REPAIR through Angie's List around 6pm on a Friday night because our dryer just stopped working and I was hoping to get information about their services. I was shocked to see that Chris got back to me within about 15 minutes, let alone on a Friday evening. He even asked me to call him to give more details about the issue. When I got on the phone with him, he immediately knew what the issue was and was able to give me a rough estimate of the costs depending on the state circuit board within the dryer. He was able to fit me in the next afternoon and showed up during the timeframe he gave, and was able to fix the dryer. He was a lifesaver! We have 3 kids and are in the middle of potty-training one of them so even going a day without a working washer/dryer would have been rough. I would definitely not hesitate to contact him again for any large appliance repairs and would strongly recommend this company to anyone.

I had two interactions with Chris from PB Appliance Repair: The first was in October 2014 when he fixed a front loading washer that would overfill with water. The experience went very well. Chris arrived on time, was very professional and left he working area cleaner than he found it. The second was in mid November 2014 where I had an error code on my kitchen range. He walked me over the phone about what I needed to do to repair it and did not charge me for the help. I strongly recommend PB Appliance Repair.

Promised to arrive 3-5 PM. Called early. installed quickly and problem was fixed.

Chris spent time on the on the phone with me to pin point the cause of the leak. His suggestions solved the problem. His knowledge is impressive. If we have any large appliance that needs repair in the future, I will definitely call him. He is the best repair man we have encountered so far.

He took the time to explain to my mother what he thought the problem was (an issue with the washer footings being off-balance), and why it probably wasn't something to do with the internal workings of the machine. He even got a bunch of towels from his truck to run through a rinse/spin cycle to make sure his adjustments solved the problem. In the end, he told her he couldn't in all fairness charge her a full service fee, and only asked for $20. There is no doubt in my mind that we have found our "forever" appliance repairman!

Came just hours after I called. Others had two days of waiting. 20%-40% cheaper than other appliance repair services that I called. He had the parts on hand. Professional, fast. Finally got a guy I can trust.

I thought I was going to have to buy a new dishwasher. He didn't even charge me for his time. He just put in a $20 part. He's very good, one of these guys that loves what he does. He's on time, honest. I just get a feeling that he's not going to pad the bill in any way. He's just going to do what he needs to do. I would definitely use him for all appliance related stuff.

Less than two hours after we called, he showed up. He made quick work of the repair and cleaned up afterward. He checked on several parts of the refrigerator to make sure they were functioning normally. He also gave a lot of advice on how to avoid some common problems with refrigerators. His experience and professionalism were evident.

He tried to help me while he was driving and I appreciated his willingness to help me as my dryer is not running and we have 4 kids. He guided me through a few things but I just told him to come and fix and he was happy to do that as well. He is coming out on wednesday and ordering a part for me as well.Great
