The business owner, John Airey, called 20 minutes before arriving to announce his pending arrival. After greeting and shaking hands we had 4-6 minutes of introductory conversation in which I gave the history of the problem. I stated that I would like him to look at the laptop and make a recommendation for the most cost effective problem resolution; repairing the cause of the malfunction or purchasing a new, comparable laptop. John proceeded to disassemble some of the laptop components. He took approximately 15 minutes to determine the probable source of the power failure and demonstrate the issues he found. After the laptop was reassembled, John gave the most viable options and indicated which course of action he thought most reasonable. I most appreciate the fact that John did precisely as I requested. He was professional and pleasant - without digressing to unrelated conversation or information that was not pertinent to the job. He gave his estimate on the most economical repair versus the purchase of either a refurbished or new laptop. He also recommended 3 websites that best provided those products and two local vendors that he would personally recommend. When asked if he had any financial interest in any of the website stores or local providers, John paused - looked at the floor - and mused, " Hmmm, now there's a thought - maybe I should charge them"? My sister and I laughed with him. I hesitate on mentioning the following, but I think it is an important indicator of Onsite Techs' business/work ethic... I contacted On-Site Techs by phone and spoke initially with a representative. Within 15-30 minutes I received an email answering my first questions, 1) What was the rate for a service call and, 2) would it be less expensive if I were to bring the computer to their office. John Airey responded promptly with the information. I replied via email - contradicting myself about the desired date and time for an appointment. Again, a very prompt reply asking for clarification. Due to the mix-up in the email I believe, my appointment didn't get on the service schedule. From the tone of the email communications I fully expected John to arrive punctually. When the appointment time passed, I called the business number and John answered. I mentioned the appointment and although referring to a two-week old conversation - he recalled the emails. He verified the facts and apologized sincerely that somehow the correct appointment had not been transferred to his schedule. He asked if I was still available and said he could be there within an hour. He called forty minutes later to say he would arrive in twenty minutes... which he did. At the end of the appointment John presented a discounted bill as an apology for the belated appointment accepting all responsibility for the confusion. On-Site Techs represents exactly how a business should operate - professional, courteous, efficient, accurate, and determined to have only satisfied customers. I will certainly call On-Site Techs the next time I need computer service and/or require information. John is an excellent source of information and seems to have a very large breadth of understanding many computer related topics.

My computer had been running very slow for some time. Also, something in the tower had been making a really loud noise. It had been suggested to me that installing more memory, and giving the tower a good cleaning would solve my problems. Based on the excellent reviews of "On-Site Techs" on Angie's List, I decided to give them a try. After listening to my problem, the woman who answered my call suggested I talk to John, the owner. He retuned my call promptly and we set up a meeting at my home. John arrived on time, explained what he was going ot do and how he would be calculating his charges. He got right to work disassembling and cleaning the tower and, then, installed an additional.GB of memory. I now feel like a have a brand new computer - it runs quietly and quickly. John was friendly and professional - I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

Fantastic. PC runs dramatically faster (probably because copying files cleans up fragmentation and new drive has a huge 64 MB cache). Has not blue screened once since I've had it back. Then, today, John went out of his way to help me get virus checking running again. He gave me recommendations of eight software products that he uses regularly. On his recommendation, I replaced my Norton 360 (good riddance) with ESET Smart Security 4. Could not be happier. John seems to eat, sleep and breath computers. I am a computer engineer in a different part of the business from John, and I can tell you he really knows his stuff!

John was punctual, professional, kind and competent. Everything went smoothly.

We had a number of problems with our laptop computer. I am doubly handicapped by the fact that I am not very computer literate and found it difficult to articulately explain all the problems. Did not know where to turn for help but when I saw the recommendation in Angie?s List, I thought there might be hope with OnSite Tech. But could they live up to their reputation? Well, they absolutely did. John was amazing. I liked the idea that he works on the computer at your home in front of you so you can see (and learn from) what he does. John explained as he went thought the various check-ups. He was not only professional, on time (even early with an advance call-ahead) but extremely knowledgeable about his field. He did an excellent job giving tips and explaining what he was doing and why. My computer is running so much better now. Additionally he helped my husband set up and improve his computer. He spent extra time answering our questions and made sure we understood. We were very satisfied with our experience with OnSite and will definitely contact them again.

From start to finish, John was very professional and very helpful as well. John said he could come the same day I called which was in the evening. John was very polite and called before he arrived to say he could come earlier than the appointed time. Since I was in the midst of preparing dinner I said that although that would be good 7pm would be best. John got right to work investigating the malware on the computer and getting rid of the problem. He also installed a good anti-virus program that he recommended and gave me some other tips on how to avoid problems in the future such as keeping passwords safe. Everything was checked out before John left so that there was nothing left of the malware on my computer.

I was very pleased. John is very professional and very knowledgeable, and took the time to find out what I wanted and how I used my computer. He didn't "push" one way or the other. Also, when the day comes that I do buy a new computer, I can call him, and he can load up the new one with any of my photos or programs that I want.

They did a great job. My hard disk wasn't working, and he was able to recover data that I thought had been lost. He had a device that he was able to hook up to the computer to recover the data. I need a new computer, but he did a great job. I highly recommend him. The price was comparable to what I think I would've gotten elsewhere. It was higher than what I wanted to pay, but comparatively, it was fine.

John came to help us on two different occasions. Both times he called when he was on his way (which is so helpful!) and was going to be early, if that was OK with us. He stayed late on a Friday evening helping us with some final details. He is proficient on both Macs and PCs, which makes him great to work with on all of our IT needs!

Jon was great to work with. He is in my rolodex for the next time (and I will need) computer updates, advice or repair. I highly recommend this company, He arrived on time, and didn't waste any time getting to work, He was very aware of the "by the hour billing" and kept my bill to a real minimum.

An appointment was made for the next day. John arrived on time and worked hard to breathe a little more life into a dinosaur of a computer giving me time to get a new one. He also recommended a place to get the new computer at a good price. They were as professional as John. Without his referral I would have not had such an easy time getting all my files transferred.

John called to say he was running late (about 30 mintues) and asked if he could still come or did I want to reschedule. I said come on over. I explained the problem I was having and in short order he determined that a new router was needed. After providing a new one he went about finding a connection. Eventually had to speak to someone at AT&T help desk to make things work. Also as all this was going on he repaired an issue on my wife's computer that wasn't allowing her to duplicate CDs. As a final measure he helped us set up a new ereader.

It went well. John arrived on time and set up a computer that my wife had brought home from her office. He took documents from another computer and installed them, and set up the wireless internet. He took about an hour and a half to do the job, which was a reasonable time because the computer was disassembled and needed a new ethernet card. He's easy to talk with and explains everything he does. He charges $90 an hour for his services, which seems a bit high, but he works quickly and obviously knows what he's doing.

John arrived aearly and removed the virus from my computer in very short order. I highly recommend him and would like to state that he beats the Geek Squad by miles and miles in service. He is MUCH less expensive. The last time I called Geek Squad, they didn;t even answer their phone. So I went to the store and was told the repair would take 3-4 days and run $300-400. They said I might as well buy another computer. John came to my home and fixed everything for $90 in an hour!!! Many thanks to John and On-Site Techs.

I was DONE calling the lame service desk at Dell and talking to some guy who didn't know any more than me about fixing my computer! I called On-site based on Angie's list review and John, the owner, called me back right away. The first time John came out, he got the system working really well and thought he'd be able to avoid having to do a total system reload but there were still some glitches that he was not comfortable leaving me with, so he ended up taking the tower with him. He thought maybe the hard drive needed replacing but ended up being able to avoid that with a total reload. With the reload and extra memory, the system works like new again. Also, my Mom's laptop works great with the upgrade to Windows XP (from vista). He spent alot of time on that first visit and only wanted to charge us for an hour, and at that visit and when he returned the desktop and laptop, he spent alot of time answering my questions and explaining things to me. He was very patient and happy to share information, he also just happens to be a really nice guy too. I just got a new laptop for school and he told me to keep a list of questions that he can answer for me. I was able to decline Best Buy's aggressive sales pitch to buy Geek Squad services, etc, with the confidence that John will be able to better handle my tech concerns with integrity and at a fair price. (PS I LOVE the wireless- the router works great.)

It was a very personalized service. I liked how they loaded extra things for me. They were very professional, prompt and they had done the work fast. They also answered questions for me that had come to mind. They were great and they were also sensitive towards the price.

Very fast and efficient except for minor glitches and delay for unfamiliar modem problems which resulted in a discount on time spent. Basic hourly price: $90/hour on site. No charge for travel. Would definitely use again.

Almost 2 weeks after my office move, I finally had my AT&T DSL working. But when I tried to get my small 2 computer network running, I ran into difficulty. So instead of spending of hours trying to figure out what was wrong, I decided to get professional help. I called 2 places from Angie's List and left messages. But when I called On Site, I reached a person, at 5:45pm, who made an appointment for John to come at 6:30pm. I was surprised but happy. Then John called and asked if he could come later in the evening. I decided the next morning would be just as good. John arrived promptly, was very knowledgeable, understood exactly what I needed, and got me up and running. He worked quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed and would highly recommend him.

A very good experience. He arrived on time. Was very professional. Got started right away. Explained what he was doing. Asked if I wanted him to do a maintenance on both my computers. He cleaned up a lot of stuff that was slowing down my computers. I will use him again for other things I need done.

I highly recommend John. He took care of our computer problems, taught us all how to network our system, and implemeted a teriffic back up system. He really knows what he's doing. It's a pleasure having someone help me on the computer who fixes the problem right away and guarantees his work.
