Description of Work: Housecall was made to my parents apartment. Diagnosed problem (bad hard-drive) in short order. Presented available options. He took the all-in-one computer with him to do the necessary repair Friday afternoon. Brought the unit back on the following Monday and set everything up. Worked great! VERY prompt and professional. Would definitely recommend and use in the future.

Description of Work: John set up 2 new computers (on a Saturday); (on one he had to downloaded info from a Mac to an HP) and set up systems we bought. Description of Work: One of our computers had a disk problem and would not boot. I caled On-Site Techs and received a call back from John the same day. I made an appointment for him to come to our house. He arrived on time and was able to copy all the information I needed to both a backup disk and another computer in an hour and a half. John is very knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. I will recommend On-Site Techs to others and will call them again for future work. His charges are reasonable and he was very helpful.

He helped me choose the new computer, transferred the data from the old computer, and set up a new email host. He asked for the old computer and the extension cord, offering a small sum. Knowing the worth of at least the chord, it was up to me to demand a better price, which he agreed to. We settled on a $100 credit for future services, some of which he has delivered already.

Description of Work: We use this service about once a year to refresh our computers when they are running slow or when we have technical problems. John is great. He is always punctual (he makes house calls) and usually we spend no more than $100 for an hour of his time. This last time, he had to replace a cracked plasma screen on a relatively new lap top plus take our other computer into the shop to resolve some problems. The whole bill came to about $250, which we thought was fair.

They were willing to come but I was going to pay through the nose. | |They arrived on time, called 10 min prior to arrival. The job was so fast, less than 30min, he did some more things to clean up my system just so it took close to an hour's time. Hours work for an hour's pay. My kind of guy. | |The most knowledgeable of all techs I've known and I worked in the electronics industry. | |Call them, you won't be disappointed, I promise. |
