Description of Work: The guys were great - showed up on time and did things quickly and efficiently. My move to Tucson was a 3 day job in the heat and the guys had a positive attitude and a pleasure to work with.

Description of Work: Didn't respond to my request for available dates for three days and then gave me a fax number to call. When I called, they said that they charge a mileage fee (not included in the price) and that their time starts from when they leave their office until they return (a full 90 minutes of drive time billed for) In addition they were not available during the days of my move.

Description of Work: This company moved my son from San Diego to Long Beach. I had to arrange the move from far away, so I had to be able to trust the moving company. This company is trustworthy. The move was seamless and the cost quite reasonable. Another company had offered a "flat fee" which seemed way out of line. This is a very good, reliable company.

Description of Work: Hoisted two pieces of patio furniture onto my rooftop deck.

Description of Work: Packed and moved entire home from one location to another. Amazingly organized, professional and careful with our belongings -- they remembered where each and every box and piece of furniture came from and placed it in the correct room at the move-in location! We've moved many times over the years and hands down this was the best experience.

Description of Work: we had a couch and chair that they hauled away. They used alot of care since it was older/antique furniture. They hauled it to a donation center for us. It did not take them much time at all and we were on the 3rd level of my building. Very efficient.

Description of Work: MSJ moved us from a two bedroom apartment where we lived for 27 years to our new condominium. The guys who moved us were awesome, they were fast, careful, informative, and extremely helpful. The apartment was upstairs (28 in fact) I was amazed at how easily they negotiated the steps. I would definitely ust these movers again. My only regret is I did not write a review right after the service, but after moving the first time in 24 years things were a little crazy.

Description of Work: Fernando, Rafael & Brian of MSJ moved my belongings from 4 storage units to my new home and consolidated the items remaining in storage to one unit. They were hardworking, very professional, friendly and accommodating. They went "above and beyond" to make the move as painless as possible. They took extra measures to protect my belongings from damage. They worked so smoothly and efficiently as a team, I was very impressed. I highly recommend MSJ to anyone looking for a moving company.

Description of Work: The three movers met me in Newport Beach to pick up a baby grand piano and a secretary and move them to my home in San Marcos. They quickly disassembled the piano and the secretary, loaded them on the truck and transported them back to San Marcos. Once there they unloaded the items then reassembled both. They did a great job with no damage and completed it within four and a half hours (the first 3 hours were on an Angies List special for $299). I'd use them again for most any medium distance move.

Description of Work: The crew from MSJ performed a local move in the San Diego area. Tina, the office manager, was very friendly, enthusiastic, accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable. She was the perfect life line throughout the entire process. The crew arrived on time, was friendly, and finished the packing in a timely fashion. One of the crew members noticed a broken piece of furniture, and repaired it to a state better than the original! The crew foreman was friendly, professional, detailed in his explanation of the pricing and services, and diligent about ensuring the paperwork was completed. The truck packing and unpacking went virtually without any problems, and everything was in the new house the same day. |Disappointment came when marks, scratches, and small gouges were found on quite a few of the walls and door frames. This is something to expect in the moving business, but we would like to have been told. |The greatest disappointment came the next day while moving furniture and unpacking boxes, a broken chair was found nestled behind other furniture and boxes. The chair is very old and a family favorite so the damage was deeply felt. The response by MSJ (Tina) was professional and prompt. The owner (Stu) and Tina came that week, picked up the chair, and returned it two weeks later in perfect condition. The repair was extraordinary and matched the decor of the chair perfectly. |
