MSJ Delivery Moving & Storage

We were woefully behind in packing the excessive buildup of "stuff" in the garage. They handled it kindly and professionally, helping us with extra boxes and getting it done. Tough move for us, but the services of our team from MSJ made it much less stressful. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

Went extremely week, very professional and polite which is not my usual experience, so I am delighted and will use this service again.

As noted in another review, we had an excellent experience with MSJ Delivery when they loaded up two moving vans for us in San Diego. Five men got the job done quickly. The next day (September 30), Sean and Carlos drove the vans up to the Bay area. While waiting for local contractors to arrive to assist them, they started unloading on October 1. However, the local movers (not MSJ Delivery) never showed. Apparently, the local contractors had "car trouble" and had to cancel. With their "can-do" attitude, professionalism, and good humor, Carlos and Sean unloaded the two trucks themselves. Despite the added stress, they were careful with our belongings. It was an exhausting, grueling day for them, moving about 13,000 pounds of household goods between the two of them without the help they had expected to receive. Nothing was too much for them. Anxious to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time, they took just a few short breaks, including a short lunch break. Amazingly, they were done before 5 PM (though with three men to help, they would have been done by lunch time). We were given a flat rate for the move. We did not pay per pound. The quote MSJ Delivery gave us was not the lowest quote we received, but we suspect that in the long run, MSJ Delivery was the cheapest. Not only did we not run the risk of being charged extra if MSJ had underestimated the number of pounds, but MSJ Delivery provided extra services. They disconnected our washer and dryer in San Diego, moved the existing washer and dryer in the Bay area house out to the garage, and installed the washer and dryer we moved from San Diego into our current house. The other moving companies would have insisted that we call service men to disconnect and connect both washers and dryers. That would have involved two or three separate service calls that would have cost more than the difference in price between MSJ Delivery and most other quotes we received. We found MSJ Delivery to be a company that makes good on its promises even when others do not. I had been very nervous about using a small, local company for a big move from San Diego to the Bay area. I wondered if MSJ Delivery had ever previously done long distance moves. Stu, the owner of MSJ Delivery, assured me they had. Yet, I wondered if MSJ Delivery was capable of handling a move as large as ours. I need not have worried. MSJ Delivery employs extremely capable men. We would not hesitate to use MSJ Delivery again.

These guys are amazing. From the beginning Tina was very helpful and friendly. On the moving day Asa, Dakota and Derrick showed up on time and ready to work. They were very friendly and worked all day long to get my house packed despite not being able to pull the truck into the driveway at all. The move took a little longer than expected due to the issue yet they still managed to get the job done in what seemed like no time. The job was finished the second day very quickly with just Asa and Dakota and my house looked amazing they took all the time needed to make sure i was very happy.

They were absolutely fabulous. They gave me three men. They were polite, courteous and efficient. They were here for six hours. They were perfect! The PODS people gave me the wrong size and they stuffed them carefully. Some things couldn't fit so they are going to mail them to me. The price is after all of the packing and moving and packing supplies.

Our job entailed moving lots of heavy furniture and items from my dad's house to my house, then a storage unit, then to my sister's house. Andy, Asa and Gary did a great job and worked really hard and treated everything with respect. There were a couple of tight corners and they were so good at navigating them and getting big pieces properly arranged in their new places. We used the Angie's list Deal for the first three hours, and considering all the various stops, we did go well over that. But I thought that they were very fair in how they charged by the quarter hour after the "deal". Andy was very diligent in going over the final billing, which was exactly how Tina had explained to me when I contracted them to handle the move. I was very happy with them overall and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a mover in town.

AsA and Steve came on time. They called about 20 minutes before they came. Did everything very fast. It took them about 1h15 m from start to finish. They were very professional. I am using this company for 2nd time already. I scheduled moving service with less expensive providers first, and they didn't come on time, telling me every hour that they will be at my place in an hour. It took me 6 hours of waiting, and I cancelled them at the end. I think that I would rather pay more but deal with a reliable company.

The guys did an outstanding job on moving all of our household items. Carlos and his team (Miles, Jonah and Nicholas) handled everything with care in a professional and timely manner. Even though the cost was a bit higher than expected, I highly recommend these guys to anyone.

We found MSJ service on Angie's List and we are so happy that we used them. Their crew is professional, courteous, pleasant, patient, timely and affable. The first time our crew was Byron, Steven and Andrew. They handled all of our belongings with great care and skill. They were so easy to work with and so helpful. The second time was one month later (9/29/14). We had to remove our belongings from storage and move the furniture into our home. The crew this time was Byron (again :), Andre & Adam. Once again, we can't say enough about these guys. Prompt, friendly, understanding (when my husband and I couldn't agree on where things should go) supportive and professional. I would use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend this company for your move. Rachel and Tina were our first point of contact in the office and they were also very helpful and professional. Very please with MSJ moving service they were on time, professional and had my sister moved in under 2 hours. They set up what was needed. We had an issue with the bed frame we though we could use it was the wrong size they dismantled it and put in the correct bed frame. They were respectful of all furniture pieces and their placement. Excellent service provided will use them again when I move the end of January 2015. Thank you MSJ for making my sister move from a home she lived in for 35 years to her new home a breeze...!!

I had an early Friday morning move and was dreading it, moving is never fun. But, Asa and Jonah were terrific. Not only were they polite and careful, but they were fast, frequently running back and forth to the truck in an effort to save me time and money. They even offered to help with anything around my house that may need moving. They were very proud of their work and the company for whom they work. Impressive all around. I will absolutely utilize them again and will recommend MSJ to my friends.

Carlos and Stevie arrived when promised, were efficient and courteous. I didn't have to do a thing, except point out which items needed to be moved. They were great! I've used MSJ Delivery twice before and will continue to use their services because I've never found a more reliable and cost-effective mover.

Both Carlos & Nicholas were friendly and professional and they were able to perform the move within the 2 hours that I had paid for. They did a great job and I would definately recommend this for anyone needing help with a move. Especially since I did have a few heavy and bulky items that I couldn't do myself.

Carlos, the supervisor, and Jonah, Miles, were all respectful of the properties and our belongings, They listened and followed our directions and requests diligently. They were very careful with our antiques and artwork, which were a major concern. They were efficient and through. I would recommend them to others and definitely use them again for our next move! They wrapped up before the two hour minimum was done so help put together some furniture for us since we were going to pay for the time anyway. Would highly recommend, super professional and quick.

Carlos, Stevie, Nicholas & Gary arrived on time at 8:30AM, and worked hard to get most of my 2500 sq. ft house packed & loaded in their truck on Day 1. They were a nice group of guys who were very professional & got the job done, with only a 30 minute lunch break. They will be back tomorrow to finish packing up the house, and moving everything to my new home. My cost of supplies was lower than estimated because I had many of my own new boxes for the move. My husband and I had also sold or gave away a lot of things we didn't want to take to the new house, thus lowering the overall cost of our move. When we realized at 2pm that our beds were not going to be loaded into the truck on day 1, the crew was very accommodating when I asked for certain things to be left unpacked so that we could use them overnight. Overall I'm very happy with the great work the guys did. I'm also really really glad I didn't have to pack!!

Stu was punctual and his estimate was within $30.00 of the actual bill. We are still unpacking, but after a week we have not found ONE item that was broken. The crew that packed and moved us (I lost their names) were outstanding and did anything that we asked them to do. We did not have any damage to any furniture or to any of the 3 residences. I would HIGHYLY recommend MSJ delivery to anyone looking to move or deliver any products.

The first phase of the move from Ocean Beach to Mission Valley went very well. The team (Asa, Dakota, and Anthony) arrived on time and expertly moved everything without damage or issue. When they arrived at the Mission Valley apartment, I had to let them know about the second truck. Unfortunately, they didn't have notification of this in their paperwork. But without missing a beat they cheerfully surveyed the additional work and set to task moving the second truck's contents. Once again, everything was moved expertly with high regard to the property as if it was their own. I was extremely impressed with their professional attitude and thankful to have completed this move without a single issue - no scratches, dents, breakage, or anxiety.

Fernando and Byron were great, they moved everything from my storage unit and stacked it neatly in my garage very quickly and professionally. They were very careful to properly protect all the heavy furniture and items were transported without a scratch. I would definetely use MSJ again and request these two exceptional workers.

The three boys were very polite and hard working. There was a little damage to furniture to and one wall and a scratch on a new floor. Over all we were very statisfied.

The move was fine until the lead began pressuring me about the Angie's List deal, saying it wasn't adequate to cover the time needed for the job. I feel like they could have completed the job in time. In order not to feel cheated, I just had them finish what they thought they had been paid for. The lead also spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get me to give them high ratings. I provided pizza for the guys and a tip, but before they left they were heard by my landlord complaining about the amount of the tip. Bad form, guys!!!!

The guys were very nice and courteous. They took apart the bed franes, one was a very large king size bed and reassembled it at the new location. Prompt and worked hard, even moved furniture from one room to another when I had to change my mind. The only negative was all the smudge marks and a large (about 6 in) blue line from the furniture cover they left on the walls of the stairs. They tried to wipe it off but none of the smudge marks came off and neither the blue line. This house was a new construction so, very disappointed with the marks on the wall. That's why I had to mark down the quality and the professionalism of their work. I'm on the fence on whether to use them again because of the marks on the wall

Asa and Andy showed up on time and didn't stop moving until the job was finished. Even with the August heat they just kept on going. They took care in covering our furniture, nothing was damaged. Even with all the hard work they remained friendly and professional. We'll be moving back into our house when the remodel is finished in 6 months and we plan to use them again. Absolutely no complaints.

Great!!!! Fernando and Joe did a great job moving my belongings!!! They were right on time meeting me and took care of moving my belongings. They were very professional and were very efficient. Tina was very helpful scheduling the appointment. Everyone was very friendly!!! Thank you MSJ for making a painful process very easy and pain free!!!! :)

This is the 2nd time we have used MSJ to pack/move us and we wouldn't go with any other company. From start to finish, the staff at MSJ answered all of our questions, were always very responsive, and did a great job packing and moving us into our new home. Fernando, Steven, and Byron were quick, efficient, and went out of their way to ensure that we were satisfied with the service they were providing. We wouldn't use any other company!
