MSJ Delivery Moving & Storage

From my first contact with Stu I was impressed by the professionalism he demonstrated while setting up my move. He explained what I could expect and gave me an estimate over the phone. On moving day the crew arrived on time and ready to work! Steve was the lead, with Daniel and Edward as the crew members. They were efficient, took excellent care in moving all my things, and got me moved without a hitch! I was impressed how all my furniture was wrapped in moving blankets and then plastic wrapped over the blankets! They handled every item like it was their own. They were all courteous and friendly the whole time. So often when you have workers in your home, it can be a difficult and exhausting, even when they're doing a good job! I enjoyed having them all in my homes, they made a difficult day enjoyable. Thanks to Stu, Steve, Edward and Daniel!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Fernando and Andy...thank you very much. Not only was the move handled proficiently, expertly, smoothly, there was no tension, no drama, just an easy "it's all going to be fine" feeling, from start to finish. Scheduling was also a breeze. My only regret? Not being able to thank the very good professional helpers in the two cities who meshed very well with the crew.

Carlos and Andre arrived on time and got to work immediately. They were switching appliances for me, picking up in Carlsbad and delivering to Oceanside, and picking up in Oceanside and delivering to Carlsbad. They also had a few other heavy items to move for me. They were professional, well groomed, and they hustled. They introduced themselves to me, and summarized their understanding of the job they were supposed to do. They were spot on. The Oceanside rental property was the real challenge. The refrigerator had to go up a flight of stairs with a turn half way. They covered my handrails with padding and very carefully brought it up the stairs. I don't think they even glanced the wall. They were absolutely unbelievable! The second heavy item was an antique dresser, which they brought up stairs the same way. I told them that I had a 100 plus year old dining room table. Although it wasn't heavy, I asked them to please be careful. They were as gentle and careful as they could possibly be. My dad was in the military, so moving is something I am very used to doing. I am sure I have never had any movers quite as good as these two gentlemen. They get the highest rating possible from me.

The service was very good. They were professional. They came on time and they worked hard. They finished everything. They were fast.

Fernando, Rafael, Rob and Brian carefully moved our household furniture and large art pieces as if they were moving their own belongings. They were are hard workers and very easy to work with. I would definitely use them again.

This was my first move in 26 years, so I approached it with considerable trepidation. When it came time to find a mover, I had no idea who was any good, so I joined Angie's List and found MSJ Delivery + Moving Services there. The crew of Andre, Byron and Steven was courteous, punctual and efficient. I had spent weeks in preparation, but I knew on moving day there was still much to be done. When the MSJ crew arrived, the workers immediately went into action and didn't pause until the truck was loaded and ready to go about five hours later. At the Long Beach end, they were equally effective. At both ends, they followed my instructions to the letter and so far I haven't found any breakage. (They did drop a marble coffee-table top from a few inches above the floor, causing a very small chip in the edge.) The only fly in the ointment was the front office. When I initially called the company, the woman I spoke with told me that she would prepare an estimate for the job and call me back the following day. She did not call back. When I called her back two days later, she had the estimate ready (she put it at about $1,400, so I was delighted when the final bill was just over $1,000). This was on Wednesday and the job was scheduled for Friday. She said she would call me on Thursday to confirm, but she never did. So I was relieved when Andre called me at 9 a.m. Friday (right on time) to tell me he and his crew were on their way. If I ever move again (heaven forbid), I would definitely seek out MSJ.

I was looking for someone to move furniture from the 2nd floor of my house to the 1st floor. I was quite delighted when I found MSJ Delivery. Shaun and Raphael showed up on time, were polite & courteous and careful with my furniture (& the walls). I was very happy with the experience & price and I?m pleased to know that this service is available. I will definitely use them again.

The move was carried out on time, completed within the given timeframe, and was done in a very professional and courteous manner by the two movers, Carlos and Junior. Obviously experienced and well trained personnel. The whole move was a very pleasant experience, starting with the professional and friendly discussion with Tina, who was our initial contact in the office. Would highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Oh my gosh - AWESOME!!!! I have to say that MSJ is the best movers I have ever used in my entire life. I have moved several times including 2 company moves. One of my larger moves occurred right before I hired MSJ. I moved from east coast to San Diego last July/August. I interviewed at min 7 different well known long distance providers and ended up just winging it with a company I used a couple years before from Ohio to Chicago - Wheaton Van Lines. They were all the bad reviews I read for other companies combined on my San Diego move. I will not go into detail but I was extremely gun shy having to use movers again when it came time to buy my house and having to uproot again and move from apt/storage to house. All the initial fears and memory of my last move kept pressing in where I actually became nauseated and depressed. I signed up to Angie's List for this very reason to help avoid using what I thought was the right approach before - stick with the big names. My move with MSJ was not long distance but I had such a 360 experience - all for the BEST. I almost went with another company on Angies - had them all lined up but a few phone calls to them as we approached my move remnants of my last move came racing in. Things the rep said to me and the lack luster, passing the buck mentality. No owership - almost looking for an excuse to post blame for things that "may" happen. So I called MSJ and cancelled the other guy. MSJ was ON TIME, the moment they walked in there was an overall professionalism I missed with all my other movers. These are not just beefy men that can lift but etremelly polished, confident, TRAINED, EXPERIENCED - I just cant say enought about them. I had Andre, Asa, and Junior - all were fabulous. They moved everything effortlessly. They wrapped and took care of all the larger items, NEVER complained or passed the buck. Anything I added or asked on the spot was like it had been written down for them weeks before they just OWNED it. One of the worst pieces the last movers did was lose my parts and not seem to have any experience or competence to put back things together once moved - not these guys. EVERYTHING was moved and put back together in new place BETTER than how I had it. All screws were tight, nothing hanging or barely on. No dings, scratches or questions. they just did it. AND, a huge call out for when we got to the storage, once they moved most out I didnt need the larger storage, they ON THE SPOT moved the balance of my larger storage to a smaller unit (all right then) adding an additional move essentially not one complaint and saved me over 100 in doing this. I am so unbelievably grateful to all of them. Also Tina on the phone was awesome. I had such a bad experience before with moving reps "selling" themselves only to be disappointed but not Tina. Everything she said she owned and everything went great just like she said. They even called on the nose confirming they were coming the morning of - just like she said. I hope I dont have to move again any time soon but if I do I will ALWAYS and ONLY use MSJ if I can help it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!

MSJ was scheduled to arrive at 8:30am. I received a call at 8am from Darin, letting me know he and his crew were on the way. By 8:25 they were downstairs. I had pretty much packed and moved most of the boxes already, so there was mainly furniture that needed to be packed and moved. Rafael, Darin and Shaun were extremely professional, asked the right questions and were more than willing to accommodate any request. They treated my furniture like it was their own, and were super careful. They even helped me pack a couple boxes at the end. Bringing the furniture up to the new place was quick and efficient. I had changed my mind about the location of a dresser and they gladly moved it. BTW, nothing was damaged; not a single thing. This was the best moving experience that I've had, and I will most definitely use MSJ Delivery again. And quite frankly I will probably request Darin, Shaun and Rafael back by name. The entire process went very smoothly - the 3 guys who showed up were very courteous and considerate and worked very quickly in order to stay close to the 3 hour time limit for the Angie's List deal that we got. They moved all of the heavy furniture from our condo in Mission Valley to our new home in El Cajon in just under 3 1/2 hours. It was a great experience overall and we are very happy with the service and especially the price - I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving.

They were fantastic from start to finish. The office called the day before to confirm, Carlos called the morning of to confirm as well. They were on-time, quick and professions. Carlos and Chris didn't bat an eye at the extra boxes and moved everything well within the 2-hour time frame, even helping me unload a few heavy items from my own car before they left. I would recommend them to anyone.

service was timely, excellent and professional. We had requested a 4men crew- Carlos, Brian, Raphael and junior came on time. We reviewed call when they set off for our home. Carlos was team leader , walked through the house, completely revised the move process with us and finished paper work. They got down to the serious business of wrapping , protecting and loading furniture and moving with care and efficiency. Displayed same care when unloading, unpacking and moving into the new home.

The movers, Byron, Darin and Rafael were well trained, well qualified and never missed a beat whether it was caring for belongings, carefully handling boxes, filling in were we forgot to prepare or reassuring us that all would be accomplished in good time. And indeed it was. A difficult move turned into a great adventure. No daunting task was avoided such as hoisting our oversized sofa over the balcony and into the living room in one piece. Great cheers were enjoyed by all. Clearly the right choice for us and for anyone wanting one of the most stressful activities in a lifetime to turn into a positive even joyful experience. You dont believe me. Just call them and see! From the moment you make the first call to make the arraingements, you feel you are in good hands. My floor contractor had included in their contract that they would move my refrigerator, and then the day before they needed to, realized the refrigerator was top heavy, and decided not to move it. MSJ stepped up, and were there the next day. Thanks MSJ for your speedy service! Steve, Asa, and Shaun were great. They did what they had to do to get things done with professionalism and patience. This included disconnecting the fridge and dishwasher, and other things, what ever was needed. I was very nervous about scratching the floor. They worked with me to be very careful and get it done without scratches. Something to consider: the red runner to protect the floor didn't work well. A strategy to consider in the future, I wonder I it would work to use two large stiff thin pieces of plastic under heavy things like refrigerators that need to slide. There are some videos on youtube to that effect. The plastic on top can slide over the plastic on the bottom, and the floor is protected. They got it done, though, without damage. Many thanks to the entire team for their professionalism, good natured attitude, and efficient service!

Movers showed up on time with two trucks and five workers. Worked quickly, efficiently, and were extremely professional. The personnel (Carlos, Steven, Brian, Asa and Junior) were amazing! I would never have guessed that two men could pick up my piano and hand-carry it into the house! And we're not talking huge guys, either! All aspects of the move were painless, and we'd use MSJ again and will recommend them to our friends. And tell them to request Carlos and his crew!

MSJ was Awesome!! The 3 gentleman that made our move a breeze were Byron, Brian and Darin. Each of them were professional, courteous and STRONG! =) They moved quickly and gently with each of our items. No Items were damaged. I highly recommend MSJ Moving as well as Byron, Brian and Darin on your move day. MSJ was also professioanl and great to deal with. Fabulous job guys!!!

The team was awesome! They were professional, kind and accommodating. They even managed to move our trampoline with all of our belongings in one trip.

The two moving men, Asa Andy, called ahead of time to let me know that they were on the way. They arrived at the time they told me and got right to work. I showed them the mirrors and where I wanted them moved to in the garage. They moved them very efficiently - without marks or dings on the walls or doors. I was very pleased to have the space in the upstairs hall back!

They did a fantastic job and I would use them again. Their crew was professional, courteous, on-time, easy to talk to, took direction well, and were very obviously concerned about earning good reviews. Management was also extremely responsive and communicative and willing to work out the right deal for our move. They are extremely flexible when it comes to pinning down the exact schedule and timing which is important when you have a simultaneous sale and purchase of two properties (as timing tends to slip around on those a little bit). I spoke to Stu (I think he's the owner) regarding the quote and scope of work, and Tina (I think she's the office manager) regarding the scheduling details. Both were extremely easy to work with and talk to. Up front, my biggest concern, and I discussed this with Stu, was the price/quote. The quote was much higher than competitors. Stu explained that his policy is to send higher quotes/estimates so that customers are happy when the final cost is much lower, rather than the opposite (low quote/estimate/ higher final price),which is more common and has been my past experience. He also took all the time I needed him to to explain certain of the fees and charges on the quote that I initially thought looked unusual. Stu made a point of stressing how customer satisfaction is his primary concern and that he would do what was needed to make sure we were happy. I was skeptical since its really easy to say that to get a customer/client and then hold them to a higher quote (with the typical, "well it was harder than we expected because of this, that, and the other thing" line), but I went ahead and hired them for the job, and he was true to his word on both the pricing and the quality points. The final bill was much lower than the quote, and customer service was exceptional. BTW, when I say lower, I mean the final bill was literally less than half of his quote. which is actually even better than the expectations Stu set me up for when we spoke. Obviously, I don't speak for them on pricing, and don't know if that's typical, but this was my individual experience. Even if I consider the final bill to be in the upper end of the price-range that I would have expected to pay had I gone with their competition, given the quality of service and ease of working with them they were definitely worth the price and I believe I got at least good value for my money, if not better than good value for my money. I would definitely use them again and have added them to my "Favorites" should I ever need to move again (which, knock on wood, hopefully I don't for quite awhile).
