Lloyd Pest Control

We signed an agreement with Lloyd's years ago to service our property quarterly. If there was ever damage or extra services required from pests, they would take care of it without extra cost. According to them, they left voice messages back in 2007 saying that if we didn't call them back, they would no longer treat for termites. We rarely get messages on our land line and always check them. We would not have missed this. So we just found out (Sept. 2010) that they stopped treatments back in 2007. We're extremely upset about this, but they really don't give a d***. All along they've only been treating for other pests but not termites. I'm not sure why in the world someone would drop termite treatments but keep other pest treatments, but anyhow.... Several times over the last 3 years we have discussed termites with the service technicians who were doing the treatments, mentioning some things we thought were termites, making sure they were treating the garage for termites, etc., etc. The technicians never once mentioned that they weren't treating for termites and went along as if they were. The Lloyd's office is very dismissive about the technicians, saying they don't know anything. What?? They represent the company in the field, and the customers are told to talk to the technicians about their concerns. I think that this firm is very guilty of deceptive practices, and I will be filing greivances with every agency that oversees or is involved with this industry. Now I am hopeful that there isn't damage from termites from the last 3 years, as I will have to employ another company to do this service. If there is damage, Lloyd's should be liable for the cost of repairs, since that was the service that we were supposed to have gotten from them.

They are always on time, polite, and always come back if there are any problems!

There were several boards with termite damage not detected in original inspection. When I pointed this out, they responded immediately and professionally. There was no quibbling; they admitted they had missed some areas, and moved promptly to make the job right. All service personnel were polite and pleasant. I was impressed.

My overall experience was excellent. I left Lloyds Pest Control a message and they called me right back. If you could put plus's behind someone name, there would not be enough room for them. I would use this company and would recommend to everyone.

I needed to move out for the weekend, and have my house tented. Jason was great about explaining exactly what was going to happen, supplied bags to contain all food and medicines and gave great instructions about what to do with houseplants etc.They showed up on time and called early Sunday morning to tell me I could go back into the house. All of the outside landscaping was in perfect condition, no damage. The were also the lowest of the three bids I received, but I would have gone with this company even if they had been slightly higher.

They didn't catch any but they plugged up some holes where they said they might be getting in. That seemed to fix it even though they didn't catch any rats. You have to get an annual contract with them and they come out every three months. The contract costs quite a bit. It is like $390 for the first appearance and $90 for each three-month visit. They have been very good. They come and do what they need to do and leave. They are very professional.

They were fine. They came out on time and seemed to have solved the ant problem.

They recommended tenting our home using Vikane to eliminate the termites, vs. spot treating the area they found the termite damage (very modest). Spot treating would have left uncertainty in our mind as to if we got rid of the termites. We agreed with their recommendation. The tenting, although more expensive than spot treatment, came with a 3 yr guarantee. We also signed up for an annual maintenance plan for an additional nominal cost. The tenting process went alright, and the staff at Lloyd's were very helpful before, during, and after the process. They accommodated our need to reschedule the facia board repair, which took ~1.5 days work by of their 1 contractor. He did an 'OK' job, replaced the rotted fascia boards with new lumber, primed the new boards, and painted one side of the boards with the trim color of our home. However, we had to then paint the other side of all the boards, once installed, with the house paint color. They replaced a piece of roof plywood which had rotted, but did a poor job reinstalling the existing shingles. We had to call our roofing vendor to properly attach and seal the shingles.They did a good job clearing up their work area at our home each day though.

The sales manager made an appointment to visit our property and scope our needs. He suggested re-signing up for their quarterly gopher service (which we dropped 2 yrs before), which was far more cost-effective than paying for a 1-time treatment. The service supervisor then came to our property ~4 days in a row to treat the gopher tunnels with special bait they use. Problem was quickly solved!

They are okay and we were happy with the service. I felt that their price was on the higher side. They were professional and did their work.

The repair was awful; I feel that they did not do anything. They have no guarantees on their work and they damaged my gutters where they placed their ladders. They were not clean, or caring of the surroundings, they used my hose and did not wind it back up or put the nozzle back on, in fact they threw it out in the yard.

I was very satisfied. I called them on the phone and scheduled an appointment at my convenience. I was satisfied with their assessment and description of what was needed to be done. They came back out within a week to apply the pesticide. This was overall a great company to work with and gave a great performance. I do plan to have them provide quarterly services.

They do great work at a reasonable price. They come back out to check the work and I would highly recommend them.

As we were having contractors install photo voltaic panels in our roof, they found two wasp nests that required removal before they continued their work. Since I did not have the time to do it myself, and I needed this work done immediately, I called Lloyd's Pest Control. They agreed to removed these nests the next afternoon. The technician arrived early, gave me their minimum quote and eliminated the nests (I left him to do the work, which was done when I returned back home).

They seem fine so far. They come out and do what we asked them to do. They always come when they say they will. They have an easy interactive system. They are very easy to get in touch with and they're proactive with keeping in touch with us.

I have been using their services for the last two years now. They come out on time every three months. They are friendly. They explained the work they did do well to me.

They were on time and did the work well. They were nice. I would recommend them to anyone. They were very courtesy to us. The quote they gave they stuck to.

They are very professional, they came when they said they would. They did a great job. The people they had come were very polite and friendly. I would recommend them to others.

Efficient. Called late Friday afternoon. They came out Tuesday afternoon and confirmed termites. Thursday morning they came to build the trap door and later returned to treat for termites.

Always consistent, good, and effective service. Nice, knowledgeable technicians.

I had discovered a problem with rodents in my kitchen. I tried setting traps (both humane and lethal) myself and called an exterminating company, but the problem didn't go away. In fact, over the course of two months, it got worse to the point where I had to remove all the food from my kitchen and store it in a metal bin. Finally, in desperation, I called Lloyd's. They came as scheduled and set traps. I told the serviceman that the other company had set traps, but they didn't work. He said "you have to know where and how to set them." Sure enough, within eight hours, I found a dead rat in one of the traps. They came back several times to check them, but I haven't seen any evidence that there was more than one (thank goodness). I signed up for the service so that if they do come back, they will come out again at no additional cost. I highly recommend them.

Fine. Lloyds has been one of the longest licensed companies in San Diego. I was surprised how many companies are not currently licensed.

Very professional and knowledgeable. I did quit using them when another pest control company came around our neighborhood and offered the same quarterly service $23.00 cheaper. Other than price, I would recommend Lloyd's as the technician was very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and professional. And the job got done, no insects or spiders found in our home!

We suffered many years with an invasion of ants that lived in our yard year round and periodically would find a way into our home. They would make a trail in the walls, come out in the light fixtures, and find their way throughout the house. We finally relented and called in a professional company. Lloyd's came out and sprayed around the property (we didn't want any pesticides sprayed in the house so we opted out of that.) After just one treatment, the ants were gone. Lloyd's will come out and spray anytime we find ants between the quarterly visits but we haven't needed to do that. Although both of the neighbors on either side of us still fight the ants, we have not had any invasions at all.

They are very professional, show up on time and seem to inspect thoroughly. No termites yet.
