Level 5 Drywall

Chris (the owner) arrived early for his appointment for an estimate, a sign of good things to come! He was not the cheapest estimate (we got two others) but he has a great eye for detail and a very professional approach. He arrived with a team of three - Dawnika (finish specialist), Ray (very experienced drywaller) and Marcos. He showed them the job in great detail, and then left them to do it. They were totally competent, cheerful and professional throughout. The teamwork was excellent. They masked and plastic wrapped the areas thoroughly, did their work efficiently and cleared up leaving our home with less debris on the floor than when they arrived. They washed their equipment properly without contaminating the environment. The finish is drying, as you can see in the photos, but it will be ready to paint in 24 hours. The "skip-trowel" texture match is perfect. Outstanding experience. We would certainly use them again and recommend them without hesitation.

Chris showed up on time with a good crew who were easy to deal with and did a great job. They finished quickly and cleaned up nicely afterwards.

The rep was very professional and complete, measured every room, made several comments and suggestions regarding the job. We did not consider his company only because he stated they would not move furniture, and the estimate did not include painting the ceiling.

I am very happy with the work. I had the project completed within one week of getting our estimate. Chris and crew were neat and pleasant.

We would certainly hire Chris McDole - Level 5 Drywall - again. Within 3 days of my initial call to him, I had a written estimate in hand. He was prompt and quick in coming out to assess the job. We decided to have Chris do the work while we were gone on vacation - that meant giving him access to our home in our absence. He assured us that the work would be finished and there would be no dirt/dust. ''We work under a dust tent.'' We were pleasantly surprised to come home to a clean and finished house. The quality of the drywall job was excellent - crisp edges and corners and attention to detail such as mesh tape around outlets. The plaster repair in living room, which was not an easy finish to match, was very well done. Doing business with Chris was what you dream of - easy, quick, straight forward and most importantly, with an excellent result. As he said before we left, ''I don't expect any payment until the job is completed to the customer's satisfaction.''

OUTSTANDING Service. Used Angie's List to find these folks and they were superb! I'd use them again anytime. Friendly, neat, and very professional. The team showed up and although they appeared to be young, they were real pros at their work. Great job and I'll use them again.

We were very pleased with the professionalism and the workmanship by this company. They took great care in protecting the rest of the house. The job was actually done sooner than originally estimated. I have already recommended this company to a neighbor. We will use this company in the future.

Level 5 Drywall did a really good job.They came in prepared and knew what was to be done.They had everything that was needed.The whole thing was done in 2 hours time with no mess left behing.

Chris was very professional, personable, and returned calls very quickly. He owned the company and did the estimate but not the work. His forewoman and daughter did the actual work. Their work was excellent and professional. However, it would have saved some awkwardness if he had told us in advance that he would not be there himself. We would definitely hire them again. We were very pleased.

Chris bid this job, and then I learned that conventional drywall mud contains slow-releasing compounds, preservatives and VOCs. I called Chris to say, that I wanted to find a less toxic option. We agreed, that I would supply the mud and he would experiment with it, if I didn't hold him responsible for the results. I found Murco's M100 mud, which I ordered through Steeler, Inc., in Santee. The Level 5 team had to experiment a bit, because it wasn't their typical product. In the end, however, the girls did a beautiful job with attention to every detail. I couldn't be more pleased.

Service was fast and the work turned out great.

The day after I contacted Chris he came to look at the job and promptly faxed us a written estimate, the same afternoon. Two days later his team started, and, quickly, and, efficiently completed the repair within 2 hours the same day. We were very happy with the work done by his all women team and would definitely use them again.

Chris did a great job. He was on time, courteous, took care with our furniture and accessories, and I felt the work was reasonably priced.

The guy was upfront, and he said he could refer a painter. It took a couple of days for him to call me back. He was courteous and straightforward in his explanation of what could go wrong and what he could do.

I was extremely pleased with the workmanship and professional manner with which Chris and his team conducted themselves. I was working under a tough timeline for the repairs to be done, and Chris managed to fit in my job immediately. I know it was challenging for him to do that, and I am so very appreciative, since it allowed me to continue other scheduled work on my house. Chris is polite and professional, and his team worked efficiently and respectfully in my home. During the work, my 2 year old was sleeping, and the workers made sure to keep the noise down and work quickly. They are very pleasant and very good at their jobs.

Chris responded to my request for a quote within one day of my leaving him a message. He came out a couple days later, exactly at the agreed upon time, to do the estimate. He faxed over the estimate later that same day as promised. After I agreed to his estimate of $500, we scheduled the work. Without any reminders from me, he and his crew showed up on the day we agreed upon and completed the work ahead of schedule. Since he got done early, he reduced his price $100, down to $400. His crew masked everything off before beginning the work and cleaned up after they were done. I would highly recommend Chris' company based on my experience with them.

Angie's List requires that a ''amount paid'' be included in an evaluation. This obviously ignores that, where a sub is working through a general, the customer has no idea what the ''price'' is. But no price, no evaluation.

THEY WERE HERE ON TIME AND MET ME IN A VERY PLEASANT WAY. DARLING YOUNG PEOPLE HELPING CHRIS MCDOLE. THEY TAPED AND MASKED OFF ALL AREAS THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. BEAUTIFUL JOB AND I WILL BE HAVING THEM BACK AGAIN SOON!

CHRIS GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE ON REMOVING POPCORN MATERIAL IN 2,700 SQ. FT. HOUSE WITH VERY HIGH CEILINGS. APPROXIATELY $3,000+. I DECIDED AGAINST DOING THE WORK BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF MOVE-OUT IT WOULD REQUIRE, BUT I LIKED CHRIS A LOT AND WOULD HIRE HIM IF I WERE TO GO AHEAD WITH THIS PROJECT.

CHRIS AND HIS YOUNG TEAM DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. THEY ARRIVED EARLY, HELPED ME MOVE THE FURNITURE OUT OF THE ROOM, COMPLETELY TAPED UP THE WALLS, FLOORS CUPBOARDS AND WALK-THROUGH SO THAT THE DUST REMAINED INTACT. CHRIS LEFT THE JOB IN THE VERY CAPABLE HANDS OF HIS DAUGHTER AND HER COUSIN AND FRIEND. THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND DID AN EXCELLENT AND THOROUGH JOB. I AM ALREADY LINING THEM UP TO COME BACK AND DO WORK ON THE BATHROOM REMODEL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. IT WAS REFRESHING TO HAVE SUCH A YOUNG (YET EXPERIENCED) AND PROFESSIONAL TEAM IN MY HOME.

WE ARE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. THE CEILINGS LOOK GREAT; PRE-EXISTING PATCHES AND UNEVEN DRYWALL CAN NO LONGER BE SEEN.
