Called on a the Wednesday to see if it was possible and he returned my call the following day. I texted him photos of the holes that needed patching so that he could give me a quote. We were able to arrange an appointment for the following Monday. He arrived promptly with his son and they got straight to work. The wall looks great and once I have painted it won't show - very happy. Left the place tidy and clean. Happy customer, would definitely use him again.

Chris & his entire team were great to work with. His estimate was clear, the price competitive, and his team was ready to start right away. Over the course of a few days his team removed the popcorn from the ceilings, retextured and painted. They also removed some wallpaper for me. I am thrilled with the results and would recommend them highly to anyone who needs similar work done.
I called to get a bid from Level 5 Drywall and Chris came out the very next morning. He arrived on time, gave me a very fair quote, and he said he could get the job done the next day. The next morning his crew was punctual and they wasted no time getting the sheetrock put up. They did a very professional job and cleaned up after themselves. I'm very pleased with the work they did and I was happy with the price. I would use Level 5 Drywall again if I have any future needs.

I had called the company for an estimate. He was able to come out the next morning to look over what I needed. He took the appropriate measurements and told me I would have a quote within a couple of days. Once we reviewed the estimate, which was very reasonable, I called Chris to see when he could schedule the work. He was able to get it scheduled within a few days. He used 4 workers and was able to do all the work within one day. They arrived on time, did all the work within one day, and cleaned up everything when they were done. They were very professional and did an outstanding job! We will definitely consider them for future work. We can highly recommend them if you need drywall work done.
Description of Work: I had a 400 square foot room that needed to have drywall installed. This room was being remodeled and I had already removed all the old wood paneling. In addition, I had some drywall that had come loose in a bathroom on an adjoining wall. That needed to be repaired as well.

Chris and Jessie arrived near the beginning of the 30 minute window they provided me. They went to work immediately, had all of the needed materials and finished within an hour, leaving behind a clean work area. They were courteous and professional. The patched area looks great. A plumber had removed a piece of drywall in order to replace some pipe and a shower valve. While I thought the drywall piece he left behind would just need to be patched back in to the old spot, it turned out some smaller pieces had been cut out and were missing, so the job was a little more involved than I had anticipated. Despite having to fill some of those gaps, Chris did't charge any extra, staying true to the estimate he provided me over the phone. I was particularly impressed with Chris's interest in finding a way to perform the needed services at a low cost given the small scale of this job. Several of the other companies I spoke to wouldn't make any accommodations or budge from their minimum charges. I would definitely use Level 5 Drywall in the future and will recommend to them to my family and friends.

Chris and his team arrived right on schedule and because of another customer cancelling were able to begin the work on my ceilings immediately. This flexible scheduling was a HUGE plus! They removed popcorn ceiling (circa 1980, so possibly asbestos containing) in about 900 square feet of living space (some of which was vaulted.) Afterwards they applied a beautiful texture they called skip trowel to the ceilings and painted them. Finally they repaired 3 medium sized holes in the drywall in my bathroom and then retextured the bathroom. Their painting, ceiling texture, and cleanup were impeccable and I highly recommend their work on ceilings. The bathroom (which I admit was not in a good state to start with) had excellent repairs made. I can't tell where the new drywall is at all. All of the work was done by a team that was respectful and professional. I felt comfortable with them in my home, which is a huge plus - and did I mention that they cleaned up perfectly?! There were two small hangups, both of which I think probably fall into a gray area, and for which I take partial blame since I'm just learning how to manage my own home repairs etc. Since I strongly believe in reviewing truthfully I must point them out. First, the re-texture in the bathroom seemed to have been done quickly, and turned out to be of uneven size and distribution. When I called the next day to ask them to come work on the texture again Chris was very kind, and had his team return when promised to sand and reapply the texture. The results the second time were much better, and they even worked on several small sections repeatedly. They were very polite and professional the entire time. My advice is simply to pay very close attention to any texturing and make sure you know what you want it to look like, and what degree of imperfection you are comfortable with. Its also helpful to have a bright portable work lamp available to view the work before the crew leaves. The second issue happened when I was told that the small spaces between the drywall and my ceiling beams that were revealed after the popcorn came down were impossible to deal with any other way than adding quarter round. Since Chris and I had no way of knowing that this flaw was going to show up its fair for him to revise his bid higher to fix it, but I told him to just leave the spaces. However, when my handiman showed up he told me these spaces just needed hot mud applied to them and that the beams would hold up the hot mud with no problems (the spaces were located directly on top of the beams.) Now, my handiman did a great job with this repair, but he is definitely not a drywall specialist like Level 5 Drywall. Did I give him my entire ceiling retexture job? No I did not. Level 5 told me that quarter round was the only way, and I trust they thought that was the only way. However, my little handiman managed to do a perfect job and the hot mud dried beautifully, and the spaces are gone. Perhaps this is an instance were the handiman was willing to put in more effort? Or maybe do something a little shady in order to massage the repair to make it work? Either way, I don't mind having paid extra to have the ceiling I wanted. If the hot mud falls out in a year I will come make a note of that on Angies List, and then hire Chris to come back and fix it. :) Overall Chris and his team did a great job, my ceilings are beautiful and my bathroom is much MUCH better than I had believed possible. When I need drywall work again I will absolutely call Level 5!
Description of Work: Chris and his crew removed 900 square feet of popcorn ceiling, added a semi-smooth hand texture, and painted the ceilings afterwards. They also patched drywall, made minor repairs, and retextured a small bathroom.

Level 5 arrived within the time window provided and quickly began to go to work. Within minutes Chris realized that he did not have any materials to provide a dust barrier while they did their work (apparently the materials were somewhere else, and drywall work is very dusty). I was able to provide him with some plastic to use and they draped the door to the bathroom. The work on drywall appeared to proceed quickly with Chris and his son bringing in drywall and putting it up on the walls. As this is a bathroom that is split between new and old construction and includes wall stud placement from previous but now removed windows, the placement of studs are not ideal for drywall installation. As I observed their work, it became clear that Level 5 had forgotten more than just plastic to serve as a dust barrier. They were also walking up and down my tiled porch and interior hardwood floors without any coverings on the porch or floor. I had to pull my oriental rug out of the entry way because they were tracking drywall dust on it every time they walked the door. I did not have any re-course on the hardwood floors in the hallway other than sending them home, so I hoped for the best when clean up came. Interestingly enough, my tile contractor arrived while Chris and team were working, and was appalled by the lack of floor protection that Level 5 had provided. He thought it was completely unprofessional and that Level 5's action were damaging both the tile porch and definitely the hardwood floor. The dust materials are abrasive, and do damage hardwood floor finishes. The recessed ceiling cans for the LED lights were filled not to the outside of the cans, but inside to the LED lights. I will have to clean out all the drywall mud so that the LED lights can move up/down to attached to their bezels. Perhaps they are not familiar with these new types of lights, but it should have been obvious that filling inside the can is not proper technique. At the end of the day, the crew did some cleanup. They pulled out a broom and swept the bathroom and hallway, and washed down the porch. And collected their check and left. Their cleanup was very superficial...they did not have the equipment to do it right and I resigned myself to cleaning up after they left. What I did not see initially was how much work that meant. Not only did we have to clean the floor multiple times (vacuum, dry mop, wet mop twice) to get the drywall dust out, but their use of the 'dust barrier' was such that it was not much of a barrier at all. We had dust throughout the house, and needed to dust all of the first floor counter-tops and furniture and clean all the floors. Overall, we spent more than 5 hours cleaning up for 7 hours of Level 5's work. While I appreciate Level 5's responsiveness to my quote request and getting to my job quickly, I can't recommend them for anyone doing a remodel within an existing house. Their hygiene practices are possibly appropriate for new construction and maybe a garage, but I would not let them into my house again. And I would not hire them to do my garage because I think their rates are too high for 'garage' work. By the way, my tile contractor had his crew in my house today...no worries or clean up on my part. That is what I would expect, and I think that is a reasonable expectation.
Description of Work: Level 5's owner responded quickly to my request for a quote, did a site inspection and provided a quote within a few days. Level 5 was chosen to do the work and was able to tackle the job within a week of the quote. The work requested was to drywall a 6'X10' bathroom and match the knock-down texture to existing texture in the rest of the house ( a one day job)

Short and sweet - terrific! I called Chris on Tuesday, he estimated the job on Wednesday, and work was started (and completed) on Thursday. It would have been a start to finish on Wednesday but I asked for Thursday. The pros showed up at the precise time they said they would be here, did their work exceptionally well, and cleaned up after themselves. Their work is excellent and the cost was very reasonable. I truly appreciate Level 5's responsiveness and work ethic. I will DEFINITELY recommend to my friends and will call them when I again need drywall work.

Chris came out and gave me an estimate of $1500 to cover a large brick fireplace and finish a wall on the other side of my kitchen. The existing wall was 7' tall, but the ceilings are sloped and vaulted, so it was a little tricky to make it look "original". It took his two workmen about 2 1/2 days to complete the work. They were very conscientious about keeping the area as clean as possible, avoided sanding since my kitchen opens into the bedroom hallway and living room with little way to hang plastic or anything to keep the dust contained. There was an additional cost due to my decision to extend the wall further than originally discussed and that cost was based on time and materials. Jesse and Jason were friendly and professional and I was comfortable having them in my home. They even let me know when they thought it was safe to let my cat out of the bedroom (when they wouldn't need to be going in and out, risking his 'escape').
Description of Work: Provided drywall coverage of three sides of 17' tall fireplace and extended a wall from 7' up to ceiling (about 12' of length)

After learning that our popcorn ceiling had asbestos, we reviewed all of our options. Chris provided us with the option of "putty coating" the ceiling. When I met with him to get a quote I had a lot of questions about it. He was able to answer all of my questions and make me feel like it was a viable option compared to the costly removal of asbestos. He was on time every time I met with him and was able to get started the day after he gave me the quote. He finished the work on time and it looked amazing. There were a few spots where it had started to crack. When I called Chris he came out the next business day (again on time) and fixed them promptly. It's clear that they take pride in their work. I would definitely hire them again.

Chris did a very good job of patching and mudding. He was fast in spite of having very high ceilings that required scaffolding to reach. Unfortunately, the paint I bought (though color matched) was not quite the same as the original and despite repeated efforts, shadows were visible. With Chris' help we found the original old paint in the garage and I bought an identical can of paint. He came back two days later to work on the patches again. The paint was still not an exact match but, between the two of us we were able to feather and work with the paint to minimize the shadowing to being hardly noticeable. Even though the paint problem was not his fault he gave me a discount. I would use this company again.
Description of Work: Hired to patch, mud, and paint two ceiling areas and 1 wall area of the house that had been water damaged, Also ended up patching and painting a couple of cracks in the ceiling. I called Chris and he came out that very afternoon to give me the estimate for the work. I accepted the estimate for the work. There was a miscommunication on when he would start the work, because I had a deadline for the work. When we were able to straighten out the mistake they went the extra mile to finish the work on time. They were even able to finish the work a day earlier than I needed. They come, they do the work, they clean up and they leave. They did the drywall and had it inspected and then they did the tape and it got inspected. They were just wonderful. The project went great. I give them all A?s for their services. I will definitely use them again in the future.
