Please see above. He explained his process and worked very carefully. It took about half of one day to sand, prepare and apply the new glaze, setting overnight and a return to clean up the next morning. The odor of the material is quite strong but dissipates by the next day.

They did a great job and I would highly recommend the work. They were on time and very professional.

Their prices were comparable to other estimates. They showed up on time. It was quick and efficient. They properly ventilated the house. It has a five year warranty. They were very neat and respectful of my home.

He was wonderful. I worked with him long distance over the phone and never actually got to meet him but he was very trustworthy. He repaired huge chips in my bathtub. He changed his schedule to fit mine. His price was extremely reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about him. It was clean and the work turned out beautiful.

Lazaro is an excellent example of a totally professional craftsman. He arrived punctually, and after explaining the process, got to work in a manner that inspired absolute confidence. He made sure the surrounding areas were fully protected from dust, debris and overspray. After removing the shower frame around the bath, he discovered the bottom portion was peeling badly. I decided it should be replaced so he contacted a supplier and ordered a replacement part. When I suggested I go to get the part, he offered to pick it up when he came to complete his work on the bathtub before starting on the kitchen sink. He reassembled the shower frame and doors and when it was completed it all looked brand-new. In spite of illness in the family that necessitated delay, he readily accommodated new times. He completed his work on the kitchen sink and made sure that we are totally satisfied with the result. We were -- quality and finish appeared to be first-class. One final comment and that?s about his honesty: He could easily have paid for the replacement part himself and charged me much more but instead he got the company to bill me directly and I paid them directly. I talked to him on a Saturday and he was able to come on the following Wednesday to do the job. He showed up on time. It took all day and the tub looked great when he finished it. He did need to come again the next day to put the fixtures back on. Keep that in mind if you need to take a day off work to get this done. The tub could not be used for several days afterwards to enable the refinishing paint to set up. The price could not be beat. Refinishing is a much less expensive way to go than replacing the tub. When I look closely I can see little bubbles and spots in the paint that developed over time but I think that is due to the nature of the "refinishing paint" and not the quality of work. They are hardly noticeable. He gives a 5 year warranty on his work but seemed to think that it would last much longer. I highly recommend Lazaro if you plan on refinishing your tub.

The guy who did the job was very good. We got him off Angie’s List. I wasn’t there while he was doing it. I had a lockbox on a property. He went in and did the work, but I met him probably two or three hours after he had been there. He did a good job. The quality of his work was very good. He matched the color almost perfectly. I don’t know about his pricing. I presume he is competitive. My wife had done some checking.

I'm a kitchen & bath designer and don't recommend that clients refinish a tub. This client insisted that was what she wanted, so I found Lazaro on Angie's List. Showed up promptly to give an estimate, spoke truthfully about how long a refinish job could be expected to last and what could damage it. The work was done quickly and the result was spectacular. I particularly liked the fact that he does all the work, not some kid who was hired a couple weeks ago. I had misunderstood him regarding whether the tub was to be pulled first, but he went ahead anyway. The contractor (who also recommended against refinishing) was very impressed with the result.

Mr Lazaro came to my home on Friday, 21 January, looked at my badly chipped and worn tub, and gave an estimate of $380, saying he would make it look like new. We set an appointment for Friday, two weeks later. Mr. Lazaro did the work on the 11th. He promised it would look like new and it in fact does look like new! The 20+ chips are gone. The surface is glassy smooth with no streaks or discoloration. He was meticulously careful in securely covering the other things in the bathroom and laying down coverings on my hardwood floor outside the bathroom. The smell?I saw a gallon tin of acetone?was not nearly as bad as I had thought it would be, and the job took just as long as he said it would take: five to six hours. In addition, he also recaulked the tub, and the price was exactly what we agreed on: $380. Finally, I would also add that Mr. Lazaro is a very nice man. The only glitch was that there was a miscommunication between Mr. Lazaro and me. I thought he was coming to do the work on the 4th. He thought it was the 14th. This was quite inconvenient to me because I took a day off from the office. If, like me, you need to take off a day to be at home when the work is done, I would recommend that you arrange to confirm the appointment a couple of days before the work is actually done

I manage several properties and I've dealt with many contractors during the renovations and remodelings. Lazaro's Bathtub Refinishing was one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. The owner Lazaro Perez does all the work himself and he showed the utmost courtesy, professionalism, and high standard of work. He was able to start the job the week after I called him. He was always on time and kept me updated on the progress. He answered all my questions thoroughly. I checked around before hiring him and his prices are very competitive. He has an A rating with the BBB. He did a beautiful job and it looks like the home has new tub/showers and sinks. His clean up was impecable. I highly recommend him and will be having him back to work on another job.

Lazaro took great care in refinishing the tub and he removed old shower doors and cleaned everything up after he was done. I would definitely recommend him.

Showed up to give estimate on time. Was nice and professional. Showed up to do work on time and charged the expected amount. There are a couple of very small dripps/runs. They are very hard to notice, and it took me about a month to even see them. There's also a small portion of our bathroom door that didn't get masked off properly and got a little bit of spray. Even with these two small-ish problems I would hire again.

Showed up a little late first day buit called to explain was stuck in traffic. On time second day. Good job of protecting walls and floors in surrounding area and on way from garage. Job seems of excellent quality (time will tell). Lazaro is friendly, responsive. Does recommend further improvements but does not insist on them. Very reasonably priced.

I called him and he indicated it would be $380 and that it should last 8-10 years with a warantee of 5 years. I made an appointment. He arrived right on time. He immiediatedly informed me that it would be extra money because the tub was peeling. My biggest complaint is I feel he should have indicated this when he quoted the price on the phone, but he did not ask if the tub was peeling. He did explain that the tub would need extra preparation and additional stripper because it was peeling. I agreed to have him do the work. He worked for quite a few hours and the tub looked really good when he had finished painting it (but not quite as good as new but a huge improvement). He indicated he would come back to silicon the edges so I asked for a quote to silicon the kitchen sink. He looked at the job and indicated he would do it at no cost (definitely more than making up for him not telling me on the phone that it would be extra for a peeling tub). The tub looks almost as good as new (it looked REAL bad prior to the work) and the sink now has new silicon. I would recommend Lazaro if you need to get your tub refinished.

Lazaro does great work. When I saw what a beautiful job he did on the kitchen sink, I hired him to come back to refinish the bathtub and bathroom sink.

It went really well. He is very nice guy. He did the estimate with us over the phone. He did tell us when the work would be done by and he was able to do it in a timely manner. He is very trustworthy.

Service was subpar and workmanship was average. Based on Angie's List reviews, I chose Lazaro to refinish my tub. I left him a voicemail and he returned my call immediately. He came over the next day to provide a free estimate and we scheduled the work for the following Tuesday. He was supposed to arrive at 9 am. He showed up late but before 10 am to tell me he couldn't do the work that day b/c his tools were in a building affected by a fire. He thought the authorities would let him back in the next day and we rescheduled for 9 am again. He called at 9:15 to say he didn't have his tools still. I understood the problem, but not why he could not notify me in a more timely manner so I would not have missed work 2 days for nothing. A phone call could have come the night before on both occasions. We set up a 3rd time the next week b/c I was unable to stay home a third time in one week. This time he was to arrive at 8am and came around 7:15 am which also was not acceptable at that time of day. Once the work started, he finished within hours as expected. I was unable to stay home during his work to see how it turned out, due to missing parts of 2 days the week prior. Overall the tub looks fine. It doesn't look polished, new or really professional. There are small pinpoint holes in spots of the tub, he did not consistently cover all of my black tiles around the tub and my counter before he sprayed the coating. Therefore there's a light dusting of white sporadically located on some of my 1950s tiles. Based on the comments by some here that the 'touch-ups' they requested made the job look worse, I did not ask for them. I also didn't ask b/c I was very frustrated with Lazaro by this point and just wanted him out of my house. I'm glad I got my tub refinished and it's looking even better since I've recaulked and done some scraping/cleaning of my tiles. In the future I would do refinishing again but I will not use Lazaro again.

Lazaro showed up just slightly late but was very conscientious about my time. He prepped carefully and kept things clean. After prepping, he refinished the tub. When I took a look at it, there were some runs where the product was applied a little too thick. Lazaro cheerfully offered to return after it was dry to correct the minor blemishes. He came back exactly as scheduled, sanded and did touch-up on the areas in question at no additional charge. Unfortunately, the touch up was a slightly different texture than the original, and there are some visible mask lines from the touch-up if you look closely. The blemishes are relatively minor though and not visible just glancing at the tub. However, it actually might have been better not to do the touch-up. Overall the tub looks fantastic and is a huge improvement over how it looked before, but I'm a perfectionist, and I was a little disappointed the finish did not turn out completely smooth and consistent.

He refinished the bathtub. It looks fabulous. He doesn't charge $450 to refinish but I had to have him come back after a mini disaster the first evening. He did tell my son to make sure the cats didn't get into the bathroom after he had finished but things happen and I had cat footprints all over the top of the tub in addition to one on the front surface not to mention those little white porcelain footprints going all the way down the hall on my hardwood floors--but I digress. He came back and refinished the refinishing and the tub looks like new. Two things I noticed: he seems to run a little late 20 to 30 minutes late and he didn't cover the mirrors in the bathroom before he sanded/sprayed whatever and they were incredibly difficult to clean afterward. But he is a master at tub refinishing and I have already referred people to him.

Mr. Perez showed up for the estimate on time, brought samples and explained his process thoroughly, including timing. He came when promised to prep the job. He was meticulous in making sure all surfaces were shielded from any over spray. He was very clean and careful about clean-up. Gave very clear instructions about drying times and what to use and not use to clean the new services. Product is a very high-gloss white, porcelain-like finish, which has transformed the kitchen and the bathroom. I am having him come back to do guest 1/2 bath and another bathroom countertop. Very professional craftsman. Excellent prep and clean-up. Would definitely recommend and will use again. Saved me thousands in demo and replacement costs, let along the added hassle and dirt of such projects.

The project went smoothly. Removal of the existing shower door, prep, and refinishing was completed the first day. After the finish dried, the grab bar and fixtures were installed two days later. We are very pleased with the results.

Was not present to see the work being done but the result was very good. All parts of the tub now have a clean glassy finish. For the most part, the job was clean but I did find some over-spray on the bathroom vanity lights and a few traces of the enamel elsewhere (e.g. toilet tank and door handle). However, this was minor and I would surely hire Mr. Perez again. He was pleasant to work with as well.

I was shocked at how great the tub looks. Lazaro showed up at exactly the time he said he would and was a pleasure to deal with.

Lazaro was a one man team, arriving promptly and was very courteous and gentile. He worked quietly (within constraints of airqur). his craftsmanship was superior and he willingly returned to repair a problem I caused with a drip from faucet.

Project was completed in professional manner. Job was completed on time and cost was the same as estimate.
