So we go away on a week-long vacation to Arizona in April of 2013. Of course, the water heater dies after only 3 days of our being away. Now the company that did the installation is no longer in business but thank goodness Ideal has stepped up and agreed to honor all of their warranties. So they replaced the water heater no questions asked and took about 50% off to honor a warranty they had no obligation to. Came in and made it like it never happened all while the missus and I were off gallivanting through the State of Arizona

I have used Ideal for several years now. Mostly for plumbing, but they have done electrical work for me as well. Their phone staff is extremely professional and courteous and their field staff are all professional, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure I am satisfied. On this particular occasion they repaired a leak under the kitchen sink, a faulty dishwasher air gap, and then reconfigured the plumbing installed by another contractor to be less cumbersome and more efficient. Additionally, they reconfigured my drain pipes in the garage where the a/c-furnace overflow and the washing machine are routed. The technician identified and resolved a situation that has existed for years which allows bugs into the garage through the sewer drain pipes. I've had many people look at this problem over the years, and this gentleman was the first one to realize where the problem was coming from. The technician also spent time in my attic inspecting around my bathroom vents and helped me to clean some debris up there that I was unable to get to reach by myself. The best compliment I can offer Ideal is that I actually **trust** them to deal with me in an honest, thorough and professional manner every time.

My garbage disposer stopped working last weekend which means my kitchen sink stopped draining, and I couldn't run my dishwasher. On Monday morning, I called for an appointment, and they were able to send a technician by the afternoon. They made sure they had a replacement garbage disposer unit on the truck (we discussed in advance what model I wanted) but it turned out that the one I had was able to be repaired. The technician then took a look around the house, testing water pressure and replaced a washer in one of my ourdoor faucets. This kind of rapid response, over and above effort and repair instead of replace make this provider my number one choice.

They were very professional and good at what they did but had I known the cost in advance I might have chosen someone else for the job. They had to run a new pipe, but would have liked to know this in advance and get more estimates for job.

I've used them for quite a long time. He did a number of different things. Everything turned out well. The interaction's always been really good with the guys. I like the people from Ideal. They're very easy to work with. The communication is good. The price is less but the quality is good.

Always the best..my family and I have used them since the early 1960's. You'll pay a little more, but, you'll sleep at night without worrying at 2:30 a.m. whether or not there will be a yogurt shop that once was the and quot;home officeand quot; of your heating and air conditioning and quot;Professionals! They were prompt and took care of us when we were in a pinch. They came out the next day after my call and were able to schedule the main body of work within a week. We were pleased with their service.

They did a very good job. We needed someone out immediately to take care of the water and they were super responsive. We checked multiple plumbing companies and they had the best prices.

Ideal was to provide me with written report and copy of video. After several telephone calls to Ideal, I finally spoke with the owner. I apprised him of the situation of non response and also that the charge was over $200 more than quoted over the telephone. He assured me he would look into everything and get back to me. I did then receive a copy of the video ... and a proposal for yearly maintenance; however, never did receive a written report or any financial reprieve ... and never had any response from the owner.

They were good. They were efficient. It is father and son business. They communicate really well. They are a pair. They are very friendly.

Problem was diagnosed by repairman as requiring replacement of the solar water tank, because the top surface of the tank was rusting. A replacement was ordered from Arizona to be installed in a few days. During the wait, my husband and I noticed a faucet directly above the tank's top surface was dripping very slowly. The repairman returned and capped off the faucet, which we were to watch until new tank installation day. When the day came to install the new tank, the repairman agreed that the faucet had been the problem and there would not be installation of the new tank. Since that time, we haven't received a call or bill from Ideal for the repairman's time. The office staff and the repairman were always courteous. They were prompt in returning our calls. They phoned 1/2 an hour before showing up and always kept their appointments. The review is difficult, because of the initial misdiagnosis. The review is easy, because of the prompt responses to our questions and concerns and the final resolution.

When it was first serviced, it seemed to be okay but now it doesn't seem to be very cold any more and it smells funny. We went with another company for the other two jobs. We didn't compare their prices on the air conditioning work. The quality was good overall. We would probably use them again.

On December 29, 2012, they came out to one of my buildings because the tenant complained of a leak. The tenant had to wait until the plumber came before he could go to work. The plumber arrived right on schedule. Water had accumulated under the kitchen sink and was also pooling on the sidewalk outside of the kitchen. The plumber located the leak and replaced the part that was causing it. He also pointed out another problem that I was able to take care of. My tenant was happy and I was happy.

ONce again I felt I'd been had. The only thing going for Ideal is Bill in the office. He is a gem. Just don't let them pull up at your curb. They'll charge you a great deal of money just for that.

I would give Ideal Plumbing Heating Air and Electrical an A for diagnosing the problem, but I though he took a long time and their prices are a little bit more expensive. I don't mind paying a little bit more if I get an accurate diagnosis. He was punctual, but while he was working he was not in a hurry. He was fair and effective. He didn't charge me the regular rate, because there was nothing he could do. He didn't charge me the quoted rate, he charged me less. During the whole process I wanted to push him faster and faster, but in the end he charged me less. So I guess we are all okay. I will use them as my plumbing outfit as long as they continue to provide accurate and good work. So far I have had that. Overall I think they are more expensive than other plumbers, but I value the accuracy.

I went up to the store front and Bill helped me pick out 2 hand held shower kits. Set a date for installation and was quoted one price for everything. Joel came out on time on day of installation and spent about 2 1/2 hours. He, as always, did a great job and I've been very happy with both shower kits. I have to bath my husband and this has made the whole job so much easier. I would have written review sooner but completely forgot and then had to find my paperwork.

Last November, we got a cold snap really quickly, it got very cold and we wanted to use our heater, we were under a maintenance plan for several years, I thought perhaps I could get a decent payment and I could get somebody out here fast but they told me they couldn't get anyone out for three weeks which was very disconcerting that's why I dumped them like hot potato as far as the AC goes and called out another company and they came out the same day and fixed it. When I had them out again I purchased and wanted to have installed a refrigerator and dish washer I bought from Home Depot. Home Depot brought them over but interestingly when they install the refrigerator and hook up the water line, they wouldn't do anything with the dishwasher. That was one of the reasons why we have to have both the plumber and an electrical guy because neither of them would touch the other stuff and the dish washer would have to be hooked up on an electrical plug so that they could give you a plug where there are three wires to the inside of the dishwasher and they also give you the hot water line and the drainage line, all of these because this is replacing an existing dish washer. They were the ones who said they have several electricians and plumbers. It was close to $600 total to have it installed, that included the plumber and electrical guy. It took him a day and it was just a complete rip off. I totally trusted Ideal in the past and I've used them for a lot of years now. There's actually one thing I would use him for. They have one good plumber. The guy's name is Norris and he's excellent. I had him install a new water heater and he installed a couple of toilets for us. I specifically asked for him and he does a fantastic job but it's bad when you have to call them and ask for a specific plumber because the rest of them you don't trust.

Everything went perfectly. I would use them again.

They were very good. It was another situation that I was not getting a resolution and the guy came out, knew exactly what the problem was, and fixed it. They are very professional.

I saw Ideal was highly recommended on Angie's List, and by the BBB. I called, and they came. The tub running happened on a Friday just as I was leaving town, so I shut the water off to the whole house. Then on Saturday I made calls, looking for someone who could come Monday, when I was returning. Ideal set the schedule, and came right when they said they would. It turned out there was another seal in my fixture, which the other and quot;plumberand quot; obviously did not even know about. The Ideal guy replaced it, and everything has been great ever since, about 7 weeks now.

Excellent! Don Teemsma, the owner, performed an inspection on a remodeled old home in Mission Hills as a requirement of an escrow. He was very thorough and competent in assessing a remodel project completed by the owner without permits or city inspections. His conclusions were right on target satisfying the buyer and pointing out modifications that would make the home safer. I will certasinly use Ideal again.

Plumber was on time, very thorough, explained everything clearly. He didn't try to fix any fictional problems that would've cost me thousands like I've experienced with other plumbers, and he even finished sooner than he expected, too. My bill was lower than he quoted me.
