Description of Work: The Gas & Electric company came out first. I was told the Gas Value needed to be replaced. I checked Angies list and found Ideal Plumbing. Brian came out the same day. He had to order the part on Friday. Monday morning Ideal Plumbing called & they came out right on time. He checked everything over made some corrections on my heater. It works great. I was very happy with the service. They do good work. If I have any more Heating & Air problems, I will be calling Ideal Plumbing.

Description of Work: Late on a Saturday night my water heater sprang a leak. Ideal sent out a repairman (Joel) within the hour. He did a great job. Was very efficient and professional. The cost was about half the amount quoted over the phone.

Description of Work: We have a 120 year old house (former train station) that has a floor heater as the major source of heat. We've lived in the house about 36 years. About 16 years ago the floor heater needed to be replaced and Ideal did the work. Up to that time we had to get up on cold mornings and turn it on using a special tool. Ideal asked if we'd like a thermostat. What a concept! We've been with them ever since. Just after Thanksgiving this year the heater began malfunctioning. (Wouldn't you know -- the coldest time of the year!) We had to set the thermostat at 90 and it barely heated the house to 65. I figured we'd need a new thermostat, an expense I didn't want right before Christmas. When we called Ideal they weren't going to be able to get someone out for a week, but put us on a list to call if they had cancelations. They did and Brian came to save us from the cold. He was prompt, polite, friendly and got right to work (but not before wiping his shoes with a towel when he came in because it was rainy and messy outside.) He checked out the thermostat and the heater and, embarassingly for us, found quite a bit of dust and cat hair in the heater. Although we generally are really attentive to keeping it vacuumed out, we'd been away, had company, etc. etc. and hadn't checked it in a couple months. He explained that the dust, cat hair, etc. will make it heat up more and the safety will shut off. He got his vacuum cleaner and cleaned it all out and -voila! We now have a heater that will stay on and keep us warm. Thanks Brian and Ideal!

Description of Work: Ideal Plumbing is our favorite service repair team. We hadn't used them since we moved out to East County because we didn't know that they came out this way. Now that we know that they do, we are really happy. Ideal knows how to take care of a customer like noone else in their field. Great service, fair prices, honest, clean and friendly workmen that build relationships with you and tell you the honest truth. When we were without them (for two and a half years), we ran into every shade of terrible! We have relied upon them for over 10 years and will (now) continue to do so for years to come.

Description of Work: We got an estimate from Central Plumbing on work that needed to be done in our bathroom. The shower valve/faucet was leaking and needed to be replaced. I was able to schedule a service appointment the same day I called, and the plumber showed up on time. I felt that he was very honest, and probably would have used them if their pricing wasn't so high - they were almost double in price from the other estimates we received. I know you get what you pay for, but the pricing seemed excessive. Again, though, the plumber was very personable, knowledgeable and honest.
