The man was very nice. I felt very comfortable with him. He brought all of his own equipment. He didn't put any of the waste in our garbage.

When I volunteered the information that it was a rental property, so I would need a detailed receipt in order to be reimbursed, phone representative (Cindy) stated that definitive proof of authorization for work from the mortgage holder MUST be received before a call could be scheduled. We stated that it was an emergency, and that we would be paying for the service. She insisted that this did not matter, and that the owner must be contacted personally, and provide various proofs, including all personal information. I stated that the owner did not live locally, and again, that we were paying for the service, that it was not any repair or installation, simply a snake the drain request. She said that didnt matter. That they could only schedule work on positive written proof of ownership. I asked her if I had NOT stated that I was a tenant if I would have been asked for proof of ownership. She said "as long as youre the owner" - I asked again, if I had NOT stated anything in regards to property ownership would they have come out and done the emergency work, and would they have required any proof of ownership on arrival. She said that they do not require proof of ownership "if youre the owner". I asked if they check property records, and she said "of course not!" When asked how they would determine if we WERE the owners, she stated that so long as we were in the home... My husband called back a little later anonymously, and asked how much, and would they require any proof of ownership or mortgage paperwork, etc. The rep who answered stated, "no, of course we dont". He told her he thought they needed such things. He said "only if youre not the owner." -- So again, so long as you dont volunteer any information, theyll be happy to come take your money. Not sure of the rationale in play here. I run a service company myself, and require positive proof before opening homes, etc. But I do NOT require positive proof on rekeys, lock changes, etc. The person ordering the work, and paying for the work is my customer. Not an unknown, outside of the home or area. It cannot be a licensing, insurance, bonding, or law issue, as I follow the same laws and bonding/insurance requirements, and know them extremely well. I am HIGHLY dissatisfied with the company representation, and their bizarre misunderstanding of who their customer is. I was taken aback enough to sit and write this out while my shower continues to back up from the toilet. Not a company I would recommend, or ever use under any circumstances.

After kitchen counter installed, company told me I had to hire an electrician to re-install outlet by sink because new surface is thicker than old tile. I called Ideal (who was also doing my plumbing) on 3/31 and they sent Rafael "Junior" out on 4/1/08. He came early, fixed the problem and asked if I had anything else to check out. I had one old light switch which he changed out for me. While checking it, he found it sparked and he fixed that problem. He was thoughtful enough to turn off my computer while working in that room so nothing bad happened to it. Junior was nice and professional and I will ask for him again when in the need for an electrician.

On Wed. 3/19 Brian came and unhooked everything under my kitchen sink for remodel. The disposal was saved because it was very new but faucet and sprayer and air gap were tossed due to corrosion. He came on time and spent about 45 min. He returned on 3/31 to re-install everything after kitchen remodel. When he went to install new faucet, sprayer and air gap, he found holes not drilled enough. He waited while counter people came and he showed them what needed to be done. He was at my home almost 3 hours on the second trip. When I went to the storefront to pay bills for all the plumbing jobs and the electricians bill (another posting-same company) they used several coupons to reduce final bills.

I called another plumber who was unsuccessful and who told me I had to tear out shower pan. I decided to try Ideal Plumbing that I located on Angie's List. The Ideal plumber immediately located the problem that was a simple and inexpensive fix. I will never call anyone else for plumbing.

Aaron and KC, who did the work, were friendly, professional and very helpful, giving good advice on what fixtures to buy. They also offered cost-saving options on the water pressure regulator. They worked quickly and did a good job.

I needed someone quickly since the faucet was broken in a way that required me to turn off the water to the house. I called in the morning and someone was able to come at 1:00pm. He was very friendly and fixed the problem right away. It required a new cartridge for the faucet which he had in his truck. I was very happy with the good, quick response. The only small negative comment I have is that it cost quite a bit. It was worth it in this situation.

Very good experience. Fitting came loose on Sunday morning, requiring water to the house to be shut off. Called Ideal after the Charger game ended. Got an on-call person immediately, who paged their dispatcher, who called me back within 5 minutes. She informed me that they could send someone out that day, but that overtime rates (double time = $196/hr) were in effect on Sunday, and would apply from the time the tech leaves his house to the time he gets home. I appreciated the upfront honesty. Discussed it with my wife and we decided we could make it through to Monday morning. Dispatcher from Ideal called Monday morning at 7:45 to schedule the appt. Gabriel arrived by 8:30. Very friendly, courteous and professional. The job required accessing a crawlspace under the house, plus lots of up and down stairs. Replaced 1 ft of copper pipe and re-soldered all connections. Job was finished by 10am.

Kitchen faucet was no longer working. Called Central Plumbing. They were able to come out at a very convenient time. However, they stated that if no work is done, there is a minimum $40 charge. The plumber came out and gave me a quote of $500 for a basic replacement faucet which included replacement of the tubes and valves which he stated needed also to be replaced. Since I was pressed for time and perhaps naive, I told him to do it. He was friendly and courteous throughout but it seemed a bit expensive for a faucet replacement. Later I discovered that there was some leaking of water around the base. They came out once in a timely manner to deal with this but there was still some minor leaking afterwards. I eventually applied caulk myself.

They dug a trench beneath the kitchen and office window where flowers had been planted and removed two of the boards on the front of the house so they could access the laundry drain pipes and the kitchen drain pipes. They dug the trench under the wall of the garage and then cut out a trench on the floor of the garage. They had a huge amount of dirt from the trench across the front of the house which was wrapped in plastic and they put up caution yellow tape across the front of the house. Each day they hauled away the dirt they had dug out and swept the area clean. I had a brand new driveway and front doorstep with some grooves put in as it was laid which created a pattern. When they replaced the front doorstep concrete, the fellow who did the work created a mirror image and to look at the area now, it looks pristine and as attractive as it did when the concrete was laid originally just a year ago.

Central Plumbing is great with discounts which I really love. They send out notices before they come and they are very honest and reliable. They can be a little bit pricey but I think that it's worth it. I would recommend them.

Central Plumbing did a great job. They really are a good company that is reliable though a bit pricey. They guys that come out do the job quickly and they do it right the first time. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Central is well known in my area and I like them very much. They were very careful when they put the unit in for me and I have not had a problem with the unit since it was installed. Everything was updated very well and most of all, they were clean.

He came out quickly and did a good job. The price was reasonable and he did not try to sell me on anything else. It was good experience and I would use them again.

Well, less than an hour to do work.

Installation was done in a day as promised. The new furnace works well and is quieter and more efficient than the old one it replaced.

One call to set appointment. Technician came on time with all needed equipment and supplies, worked efficiently and quickly, cleaned up carefully.

They aren't cheap, but they are the best. Most of the cost was on material, because they are top of the line.

Prompt excellent service. I had called another plumber earlier in the day and they came out and quoted the job at $500.00 more than I paid Ideal.

For both major and minor work they are very easy to contact, prompt for appointments, knowledgeable, professional, and very neat in clean up. We have been extremely satisfied.

THE REGISTER (FOR THE FURNACE) IN MY BEDROOM HAD INSULATION COMING OUT OF IT. PLUMBER CHECKED ALL REGISTERS USING THE FAN SETTING. ALL OK and CURED.

1ST JOB:I WAS CHARGED $300.00 MORE THAN PREVIOUS REPAIRS EXACTLY LIKE THIS.WHEN I CALLED OWNER TOLD ME THAT THEY QUOTE THIS JOB @$435.00 ON THE PHONE. I WAS CHARGED NEARLY $600.00.2ND JOB: I WAS CHARGED $2918.62. I WAS QUOTED $1500.00 AND HAVE PAID ABOUT THAT FOR COMPARABLE JOBS. THE OWNER HAS STATED HE WILL DEDUCT $200 FOR GOOD WILL BUT FEELS HE IS TOTALLY RIGHT. NOTHING WAS DEDUCTED FROM 1ST JOB.HE STATED IT SHOULD BE $435.00 BUT DID NOT REFUND ME THE AMOUNT OVER THAT.

I REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT VIA THEIR WEB SITE AND RECEIVED A CALL PROMPTLY THE NEXT MORNING. THEY WORKED AROUND MY SCHEDULE. GABE WAS PROMPT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL/ HE PERFORMED ALL REPAIRS IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THEY CHARGE BY THE HOUR. THE ADDED ''HOUSE CALL'' FEE SEEMS STRANGE BUT AT LEAST THEY HAD DISCLOSED THIS FEE UP-FRONT.

IDEAL SENT OUT TWO PEOPLE TO DO A ONE PERSON JOB AND CHARGED OUTRAGEOUS WAGES FOR BOTH EMPLOYEES. THE WORKMANSHIP WAS FINE BUT THE CHARGES WERE UNREASONALBLE AND UNFAIR.

I CALLED ABOUT 9:00 A.M. TO SCHEDULE A NON-EMERGENCY JOB AND THEY HAD SOMEONE HERE AT 10:00 A.M. RAFAEL, THE ELECTRICIAN, WAS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. WORKED QUIETLY AND STEADILY UNTIL THE JOB WAS DONE, CLEANING UP WELL (INCLUDING VACUUMING) UPON COMPLETION. I'VE USED THEM BEFORE I JOINED ANGIE'S LIST AND HAVE ALREADY BEEN HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE.
