We wanted the technician to come out on a Saturday, but he couldn?t. He could only come on Monday. He did what we asked him to, though. We even got a $15 discount.

We have used them for years. I like the fact that they can generally send someone that day. They seem reputable and they have been able to fix all of the things that we have asked. They are a little expensive.

Submitted online email and was called back same day with appointment before noon. HVAC technician Dan showed up right on time and went right to work. Quickly figured out (a) I had too much refrigerant in the system, causing the compressor to overwork at reduced efficiency and (b) due to a room addition to the house made prior to my purchase of it the A/C load is over capacity. He pointed out a lot of tips and tricks to optimize my system and installed a 7-day thermostat to help make the most of its current capabilities. Very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and effective. Money and time well invested.

Overall, Ideal was very careful in removing old equipment, installing new equipment, and making any appropriate modifications to make sure everything was up to current code to a house more than fifty years old. They replaced the gas furnace, all ductwork and registers, added an air conditioner and expanded the return air capacity. While doing the work, they protected our hardwood floors and carpets, were neat and cleaned up messes (e.g. plaster dust when two new registers were cut in) and left a professional looking installation. Todd Hollman was in charge of this installation. His team explained what they were doing and "kept us in the loop" during the installation. They showed us about operating the system properly. The good job that Todd's team did is very much appreciated. After having used the air conditioner during several days of abnormally high temperatures, I am confident the A/C was sized appropriately, thanks to estimator Eric Johnson. He made sure we received the right-sized, high quality Energy-Star equipment we wanted for excellent service while its efficiency allows it to be frugal in the use of electricity and gas. I suspect that configuring a high efficiency/ minimal cost system is more time consuming than one would expect. I am confident that we'll receive the rebates/tax credits that are being advertised. I really like the system that Eric selected. As Ideal has state licensed personnel with general, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing licenses, I know they have the needed skills and thus do not need to subcontract any part of the job.

I called Ideal for an appointment and they set me up for a day and time convenient to my work schedule. The technician, Gabriel, arrived 15 minutes early and sat in the truck in front of the house probably waiting for the exact hour so I went out and invited him in. I was happy he was early because that meant I would get back to work earlier than planned. He did the shower drain first by running a snake down it and he spent some time to make sure the blockage was completely removed and the water was draining freely. Next he examined the toilet and told me that in his professional opinion he did not think replacing the wax seal on the toilet was necessary for an upstairs toilet. However, I asked him to replace the seal anyway just to be sure. I appreciated that he was trying to save me money. For the aerator he had to work harder than usual getting it off because it was really stuck.

It was more work than I realized it would be. We are completely satisfied. It was expensive and we had a lot of problems with the water pressure. He seemed to know exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. He did an excellent job.

I think that they have high quality workmanship and reasonable prices. They always come out in a timely manner. All of the people who have come out to my home have been competent. The last time they came out the fan that I purchased was hard to put together so he had to spend a long time putting it together and installing it, which made the price more than I thought it would be. However this is the only time I have questioned their service.

Joel was the plumber that did the work. From Cindy and team in the office to Joel performing the work, communication and professionalism was absolutely flawless. Joel arrived at the front end of the agreed time window. We chatted about the work to be done and the parts he intended to use along with the costs. He used quality quarter turn valves (awesome) and stainless steel wrapped hoses. He completed the valve replacement work and moved on to the toilet. The toilet was problematic, as I had problems setting it myself and could not figure out why it would not go together. Joel figured it out pretty quickly that the castings for the top and bottom did not match up for a solid fit. We asked Joel if he could go ahead and provide a toilet and install it and I would deal with Lowe's later. Without hesitation, he called to make sure they had one in stock for what we needed, quickly retrieved it, and had it installed in no time. He took the time to use the prior wax ring to fill in some voids around the flange in the floor to help prevent water leaks. He completely cleaned up after himself and left all the areas in which he worked neat and tidy. We could not be happier with the experience with Ideal and would recommend them without hesitation. We will only call them for any future services we require.

Howard from Central is my hero of the week. As first time home owners, my husband and I used angie's list to get various companies to come out to us and give us estimates before starting repairs. Howard was extremely honest with us and gave us an estimate for all the work we wanted done. It was a bit out of our price range so we went with someone else. That was a mistake. 1 week later we hit our stress limit when the person we did hire told us all the water in our home only ran hot and that there was no way to shut off the water to repair a bath/shower valve without affecting our neighbors. I called Central immediately and asked for Howard. They must have thought I was insane but passed along my message and phone number to Howard, who called me back within 5 minutes. Less than 24 hours later he was back at our house and fixed everything plumbing related including the hot water mystery and located where our water shut-off was (note: I DID know where it was but the first guy told me it was a gas meter) and also serviced our AC and changed the wooly mammoth-like filter. If you want something done by a true professional/expert, and you want it done efficiently and for a reasonable price, there is absolutely nothing better than Central. Howard is our hero and we're grateful for his knowledge and kind manner - even when dealing with newbies like us. The best part was he was as friendly and polite the second time out to our house as he was the first time. A true professional and very patient man :)

I called on Thursday and was scheduled for Friday afternoon. The technician came in the time frame given and worked quickly and professionally. One nice feature was that the company called about an hour before the scheduled time to make sure I was home. Unfortunately, I didn't hear the phone and thus didn't call back immediately. If I'd realized they did this, I would have been listening for the phone and probably could have had someone out earlier. They called again as soon as the technician was on his way. I would recommend they tell people about their courtesy calls beforehand just so we realize we need to be accessible by phone before they send someone over. Overall, a very easy experience.

I was having popcorn ceiling removal and painting done in my home and booked Ideal to install new ceiling lighting fixtures. Andrew came at 8:30 am. as scheduled and finished approximately 1 1/2 hours later. Ideal's rate is $98.00/hour and the can lite they supplied was a little over $60.00 and there was tax and mileage. I had a $15.00 off coupon from our church bulletin which helped. Andrew was tidy and did a great job and checked out some wires coming out of a wall that I was confused about. He really enjoys working for Ideal and is proud of his profession.

The men were scheduled to arrive on 2/10/09 between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. I called at 1:30 and was told they were running late. They came at 2:00 p.m. They put in a brand new gas 50 gallon water heater and new earthquake straps to replace my 14 1/2 year old water heater. They were here about 2 1/2 hours and replaced a few other parts since new laws had been enacted since last installation. Dan and Bill did a great job. I received $50.00 off quoted price because I had a thank you coupon from Christmas for $20.00 and received a $30.00 discount because I noticed a senior discount notice on Angie's list that was on in error, but still afforded to me. The owner was going to have Angie's list correct his company's information.

I called late Wednesday afternoon and set an appointment for their earliest time slot the next day. I was quoted between 8-8:30 the next morning and Gary showed up as promised. Within 20 minutes or so Gary had the sink unclogged and he even adjusted the drain stopper so it actually worked and allowed water to pass through. He thoroughly explained what he completed and what the issue turned out to be. Before leaving he made sure everything in his work area was clean and he was on his way to his next job.

I called Ideal Plumbing, who charge by the hour. Their plumber, Ron, removed the dead water softener, looped water heater pipes to flush out the lines, replaced the dishwasher supply line, cleaned out the washing machine line and capped a leaking polybutene pipe in the attic. $680 parts and labor, quoted the toilet repair at $170 each. Ron was conscientious, detailed, thorough and considerate of our time and money. For example, he suggested that we hold off on the toilet repair since we decided to replace the polybutene plumbing with copper to avoid duplicate costs. We were very satisfied with their service and are considering them for the re-piping of our house to replace the decrepit polybutene plumbing.

Ideal was super professional and efficient. I was quoted two prices on the phone and was told to expect it to cost the higher amount, $150, and to my great pleasure it didn't. The cost was $108. They were able to come out within 2 hours of my call and apologized for not being quicker. But as it turned out they were able to get to my store sooner than they expected 1hr 20. They ran out of invoices and said they would mail it to me. The professionalism and care they took in clearing my drain and respect when speaking to me will be remembered.

I had a disappointing experience with another company trying to fix this problem. Ideal sent Jose to my rescue. He was experienced, professional, competent, and honest regarding the probable cause of the problem. His work is guaranteed for 30 days, and he also reminded me to print out the coupon for $15 off the total price. We discussed options for replacing the disposal and faucet, as well as replacing the utility sink in the garage. He explained the need for an air gap (which I don't have) for the dishwasher. He also removed the clog in the utility sink faucet aerator--a simple fix for him, but a small miracle to me. It all took less than an hour, but worth the money to have use of my sinks again. My only objection is that when the cost was quoted over the phone there was no mention of the $20 for travel in addition to the hourly charge.

They were very responsive and the person they sent out was experienced, courteous and quick.

Eric Johnson was polite and punctual, and seemed to do a thorough job of examining the home and explaining the options. Oddly, he asked us to complete a list indicating our priorities(most important: price? quality, service, etc.)but seemed to disregard that information. He also had a somewhat cavalier attitude of he knew what was best for us. He insisted in coming back to give us the written quotes, which were quite good. Again, his manner was bothersome, especially when he introduced political comments in the conversation. Once he left, we never heard from him again. Either the company has more work than they can handle, or he just didn't care. Or so it seemed. We didn't doubt that Ideal would do a good job, but decided to go with a company that is also highly rated in Angie's List that really wowed us with interest. We were not disappointed.

The work itself was fair quality and the technicians were timely and polite. We have not had problems with the workmanship. However, the billing has been extremely problematic. First the job ran 60% over the quote and we were not notified there would be additional charges until after the fact despite the fact we were home all day and the technicians could have spoken with us at any point. This is after we went to the trouble of scheduling an estimate from an Ideal plumber who visited the house and inspected the job for $1038--the final bill came to over $1700.00. The plumber also failed to give us a bill on the day of service because he was running late to his next job. He said he would mail it Monday, but it took several calls to the plumber Gabriel who would only give me a dollar amount and two calls to the main office before I received a somewhat itemized bill. Eventually after several calls to the service manager Kirk we settled on a reduced amount, which I am okay with, because the job was more complicated that they thought. I am still upset that they sent a plumber to estimate plumbing and electrical, who was under qualified to estimate both. For the $79 service call they should have sent contractors who were qualified to write an estimate Ideal would stand by. The final straw was the number of times I had to call and give them my credit card information just to make a payment. When I called mo one had any idea that Kirk had adjusted my bill. I finally sen an upset e-mail yesterday and one month after I began calling them to straighten this out they have billed my card. I am finally done with this business. It is too bad that their billing system is such a mess, because the work was timely and looks good.

I called first thing Wednesday morning and Bob said that someone could come out around 11:30 am and Noon. My first response was "Great!" I very rarely get that kind of window with a service company. Then he called back around 9:45 am and said that Jerry was on his way. When Jerry got here, he took a look and said that it was an easy fix. The seals had come loose and he could easily fix it by removing the garbage disposal and resealing everything. He was finished in less than 30 minutes. As an added bonus, I asked him about my dishwasher and he had very helpful advice about how to fix it. We have used Central before (Rodney is a gem!!) and will continue to use them because of their prompt service, friendliness and expertise.

Aaron Poulson, the technician showed up at my door 20 minutes early for the appointment. He was extremely pleasant and polite. He worked efficiently and finished the job in about 30 minutes. I couldn't be happier with Aaron and Idea. I would recommend them without hesitation.

This was very satisfactory, prompt and reasonable. They were here for about 2 hours. We've used them for about 15-20 years.

It's always been good experience with this company. We've been w/them for about 25 yrs.

It went fantastic! They were here all day, but they got it replaced. They even sent out the same guy a few days later to fix a leak that had sprung.
