They are one of the few plumbers that gets here and does the work on time. I?ve had a lot of plumbers that are incapable of fixing a problem as promised. They are on time, they get the job done, and they do it for a fair price.

They are great! Joel Casdan was our technician, and he arrived very quickly. I called this morning, and he was here within an hour. Upon arrival, he gave me liability paperwork to read over. Overall, I am very pleased with their services, and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

They didn't show up. They called my cell at 2:40pm and I didn't notice it until 3:15pm. The voice mail said to call them back and I did and then they said it was too late to send someone out. They could charge me overtime fees to send someone though. The appointment was for between 2-4pm - they should have just come over. They never missed an appointment before. I'm so mad. I've been afraid to turn on the heater all week because it hasn't been on for so long (it's a gas heater so it makes me nervous). I was counting on this appointment - it's been freezing.

They did fine work. They were punctual and friendly. Additionally they noticed a problem with the water pressure going too high and not being handled by the pressure regulator. We added a thermal expansion tank by the water heater. This was an extra cost of $347.00. But it will reduce the pressure on the house pipes and water heater. I did ask that during the second trip to the house that they subtract the $25 travel charge. I paid it initally with the water line repair and didn't feel the second trip for the thermal expansion tank was warranted. They agreed to subtract it.

Prices are quoted on-site out of a book (similar to an auto repair shop) and were higher than other quotes I'd received but Central Plumbing Heating & Air was the only provider available for same day service. Upon completion, I noticed that some pre-existing materials had been utilized in the repair/replacement (e.g. the electrical cord & plug from the old disposal which was discolored and of inadequate diameter for the existing clamp on the new disposal). I asked the technician if the price in the book (which I had just paid) assumed that all new materials had been used. After insisting that there was nothing wrong with the existing wire (which may be true, but I felt I had just paid for a new one) the technician left without resolution.

They were great! They showed up very quickly. They are always respectful of my tennants. They keep me informed and always charge a fair price.

I have used them for about 30 years. They are reliable and knowledgeable. They are a little high priced.

My tenant had smelled gas coming from the floor heater in the middle of the night. She called SDG&E who turned off gas to all three units on the property and locked it. Central sent Joel out within two hours of my call. He quickly crawled under the house and diagnosed the problem - the floor furnace had fallen, the line to the pilot had broken. He called SDG&E requesting that the meter be unlocked, saying the SDG&E technician should have looked under the house and would have seen the problem, could have turned off the valve to the furnace and left the gas unlocked. He was firm, articulate and professional. It didn't do any good but I really appreciated it. He gave me a choice of rebuilding the 60-year-old floor furnace for $2000 or installing a new wall furnace. I chose the latter. He asked if I wanted to be involved in the process and I said No, I just wanted it fixed. It was Friday. He said it would take him the rest of the day to shut down all appliances and test the line, that it would take a day (Monday) to install the new wall furnace, and another day to get the city to issue a permit and SDG&E to turn the gas back on. His time estimate and money estimate were right on. I didn't hear from him again until he called to say it was all done. It seems like a lot of money for a wall furnace that sells for $900 but I had complete peace of mind that he knew what he was doing, that he could relate to my tenant and help her through the irritation of the whole process and that I didn't have to worry about it. I would contact them again, though I would get a second estimate as well if I had the luxury of no time pressure.

Each time it went perfectly. Technicians show up on time, finish within expected time or under. Since they bill by the hour for smaller jobs, technicians have asked me if there is anything else that needed to be fixed since they hadn't used the entire hour. The techs are really cool, intelligent, hard working dudes. I am the sort of person that follows them around because I've always enjoyed this sort of thing (aka I am a pest), but they never mind and always go along explaining what they are doing. Just a great experince overall. I could not be happier with any business and for me Ideal is my vendor for ALL plumbing, heating, A/C, and other stuff (ask them, they tend to service a lot more than they advertise).

The plumbers were courteous and professional. They worked steadily, didn't waste time and cleaned up thoroughly. This is the first time I've had plumbing done, other than drain cleaning, and I was surprised that more than 75% of the charge was for labor, but I've been told by friends that that's what they've been charged by other plumbers. If this drain lasts as long as the first one, the charges will average out to less than $25 a year! I would definitely use Ideal again, and recommend them.

First off, the guy was knowledgeable and not high pressure. He laid out the options very quickly and didn't seem to have any particular interest in selling me a larger or more expensive repair.

I called this company after researching plumbing companies on Angie's List. I also checked out their web-site and was able to download a coupon for drain cleaning. I decided to use this company based on the reviews and their ability to take care of my drain problem right away. They were at my home within 45 minutes after my call. My problem was a slow drain which caused backup in garage sink (washing machine) and two bathroom. Wayne evaluated the problem by checking the efficiency of the drains in the garage and bathrooms in including the toilets. Wayne cleaned/cleared main drain pipe from rooftop. He showed me the snake that had a lot of grease and hair build-up that was the cause of the slow/clogged drain pipe. He recommended I purchase Bio-Clean which is a "green" product that uses enzymes to help keep drains and pipes clear from organic matter.

Plumber was very professional. Provided estimate and performed work right away, had all parts needed to complete the job.

Knew their stuff and left without a mess. That is a big plus.

Another company came out to change the air conditioner filter and gave us a list of recommended things to do and only my mom was home at the time and I thought the costs of these things were crazy so I called Ideal. Ideal saved me hundreds of dollars! My mother is getting on in years and I think the other company may have taken advantage of that. I'm so glad I called Ideal for a second opinion. Ideal has taken care of our plumbing for 4 years and I'm glad now to have them take over the heating and air too. Philip was awesome and explained how things worked too. I'm also getting an estimate on duct work and an overflow switch.

the unit was installed faulty. The temperature kept rising above 90 degrees. They did not come to fix the unit. They told my mother to unplug it. We also had a misunderstanding about the previous price that I was told over the phone. The man who quoted me a price was very rude when I called to question it. I am not sure if the unit is safe since we have not used the heating portion yet as it has been warm.My mother has used them in the past and liked them, but with the last two times, I am not sure.

After 3 prior plumbers' attempts to troubleshoot and repair, two of Ideal's best came, same day, spent less than 1/2 hour identifying problems, then repairing / replacing toilet seals, flappers, and improving sink water flow. Two weeks later, still perfect! Toilets now quiet 24/7 and i can actually wash my hands in the sink with warm water!! Very happy with Ideal. Will definitely recommend them from now on.

Jerry provided excellent and timely service. His manner was professional and pleasant. I would want him in the future for any plumbing issues.

Because of a leak from the 2nd story bathroom to the garage we contacted Central Plumbing. As hard as we tried for the leak to present itself during the plumber's visit (by turning on all water sources from the 2nd floor bathroom), it did not. Therefore, Jerry suggested that we monitor it so that if it reappears he could come by again. There was no charge for the service call and we feel that he was honest in telling us that he could not fix what was not there to see. If the leak reappears, we now know we can trust Central Plumbing to come and check it out for us.
