Years ago I had most of the house done with plantation shutters from another vendor. I have long forgotten who did the work, but i was marginally pleased and those shutters have begun to peel and crack. This time I chose Harmony Blinds and Shutters based on Angie's List and on the 80-odd Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed; the estimate was at the upper end of my range but the shutters are absolutely first-rate in quality and workmanship. Installation (done the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS!) was quick, professional, and not disruptive at all. These guys are good.

Across the board from the original estimate, the detailed explanation of options and measurement of the Windows, and the installation itself were all seem less. Our installer, Brian, was on time, took down the old blinds and installed the new ones rapidly and efficiently and cleaned up leaving everything in good order. The blinds are beautiful!

Great service from initial contact through installation. Very prompt scheduling of the sales person, and send confirmation along with his picture right away. Same for scheduling the installation - they actually showed up acceptably early and everyone was courteous and professional at every step of the process.

This was a challenging job because of the shape of the window. Wayne's measurement was spot-on and Brian's installation was fast and flawless. Will definitely call Harmony Blinds and Shutters when I replace my other shutters.

I called to inquire about a specific brand of polycore shutters. Many shutter companies are familiar with this brand but the representatives were not sure of what I was talking about. The office manager then said Wayne would call me back to double check if they had this brand. I also sent an email. The email nor the phone call was returned. I thought this was a great company based on reviews but they proved otherwise.

I've used five service providers from Angie's List, to date, and Harmony Blinds and Shutters is one of my top two FAVORITE experiences. I wanted to have wooden blinds installed in my craft room and my guest room, and I made an appointment for a design consultation and measuring. Wayne Gray, the president of Harmony, arrived on time, and was such a pleasure to work with. I had been thinking I wanted a particular blind from Hunter Douglas, but after Wayne told me that the blinds I wanted had been discontinued by Hunter Douglas, he suggested a different brand of blind that gave me the same features I wanted, but were cheaper than Hunter Douglas would have been. Wayne was very pleasant, and laid back, no pressure or upselling, and extremely efficient in measuring the two windows. The whole process of measuring, and me looking at samples and making a choice, took no more than thirty minutes. Wayne was also nice enough to take a look at some Roman shades on my French doors that had been installed by a different company. but which had never been just exactly RIGHT, and agreed to make the small changes I wanted at the time of installation of my wooden blinds. A few days after the consultation, I received a very nice thank you note in the mail from Wayne, thanking me for the business. Who does that now days? No one that I've ever done business with! My blinds came in when they'd been promised, and someone from Harmony called to set up an installation date. On the day of installation, the installers called and said they were running a little EARLY (what a REFRESHING change from installers who are usually running late!), and would it be o.k. if they came by. Of course we agreed, and my husband and I were both greatly impressed with the speed and efficiency with which the installers installed the blinds. Unfortunately, I don't remember the installers' names, so I can't thank them personally here, but they were just fabulous - meticulous in the installation, and the clean up afterwards, and very friendly, as well. They also made the changes in my Roman shades in just a few minutes, so that I am now completely satisfied with them. I admit I can be rather picky! The cost of the changes in my Roman shades was included in the standard $35.00 installation fee charged by Harmony, which I was most appreciative of. I am SO happy I found Harmony Blinds and Shutters by reading all of the great reviews they've received on Angie's List. I have one or two other window covering projects coming up in future, and I will ABSOLUTELY be calling Harmony Blinds and Shutters again! I UNRESERVEDLY recommend them!

The initial consultation with Brent was very pleasant and warm, He is very presentable and professional. He listened well with what I described to him. He was able to visualize my description of the sliding plantation shutter door at a hotel we stayed in. He immediately shows samples and choices to create my description. The product of his composition for this project was very impressive. The master bedroom was well composed. It gave me privacy from the neighbors up the hills, the ambience is calmer and still gave me a panoramic view of my backyard garden. Brent is generous with his advice and suggestions and knowledgeable. The crew were polite, friendly and tidy. .

Sales person came out to discuss options, take measurements. He was very courteous and helpful with advice. About 3 weeks later, blinds arrived and were installed. Installers were also courteous, professional, and responsive to my requests.

Brett was very good, helpful and knowledgeable. The owner was great in scheduling, especially around the Thanksgiving holiday. The installer installed everything really well. I would give them all high marks.

Wayne was very helpful and came out multiple times to help me make up my mind.

Everything went very well. They were very professional from salesman to installer. I was impressed with the people who were at my home. As a former contractor, I can say the installer did a very professional and efficient job. I was very pleased. He was conscientious and thorough with his performance. The salesman knew his stuff and helped us pick out the types of shutters and blinds which made us feel comfortable with out decisions.

They were A+! We love our blinds and the choices they recommend. The installation was quick and the timeline fit our needs. We evaluated several companies and chose Harmony because of how well they handled the process and the initial consultation. Their representative was outstanding and the cost was actually better or comparable with the other two companies we talked to.

I read all the reviews on Angie's list and decided on Harmony Blinds. I feel we made the right choice for service, quality and price. One of the windows was originally measured wrong and they came in and remeasured it and installed the new one at no extra cost. They did not try to sell us the most expensive thing or the things we did not want. They had a great selection and the service was great! We love our blinds and Harmony was great to work with.

** Update 2/18/15 ** I am updating this review after the owner of Hamony rebutted my response (below). He also got a hold of my home address from Angie's List corporate (!) and mailed me a letter, pleading for me to give him a better rating (or delete my review altogether). First, members should know Angie's List shares our private information, including home addresses, with contractors. I think it should be up to members whether to share private home addresses with contractors, not Angie's List. I've complained to Anglie's List but they don't really care about protecting member's private information. Second, I'm updating my review to give an overall rating from "F" to a "C". I still believe part of outstanding customer service is for businesses, including small ones, to answer their own phones, not to force customers through an IVR only to end-up speaking to an outsourced call center service. The owner of Harmony and I disagree on this. In the end, I ended up selecting Gallery Shutters, who answer their own phones.

Harmony Blinds and Shutters crew led by Ishmael with Shawn, was the best I have seen among the handymen and contractors I have used from Angie's List. They were professional to the max, polite and friendly, stuck with the job until whatever needed to be adjusted was taken care of and they were a pleasure to have in the house. This company, Harmony Blinds and Shutters, has also one of the best salesperson I have had the pleasure to work with in Eldann Chandler. He was friendly and reserved, polite, and very professional. He advised and listened to what we wanted, measured every window correctly, placed the order quickly and resolved any little glitch that came up. We couldn't be happier with this company, first because of its crew, second because the product is excellent and the price more than reasonable. We will definitely use this company in the future for the rest of our windows.

My experience with Harmony Blinds and Shutters was consistent with all of the positive reviews on Angie's List. From the initial appointment with Wayne to the final installation, everything went smoothly and as promised. Outstanding communication and customer service. Will recommend them to anyone I know that needs blinds, shutters, window treatments...

From my first contact of the company, everything went very smoothly. An appointment was set up very easily to have someone come to my home and consult on my window treatments. Eldann came out and was very professional and friendly and had some good ideas. He came prepared with everything we needed to order my window treatments that day. Within 2 weeks, my window treatments were professionally installed. The entire process was easy and efficient and everyone in the company that I had contact with with was very professional.

Wayne came to our house shortly after we contacted Harmoney Blinds and measured everything and showed us numerous samples we could choose from regarding the style, color and material. And we got a price right away. We were told about the approximate delivery time as well. The shutters have now been installed and they look great. We got everything as promised without any surprises. The quality of the service and the material is great. I strongly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

I have been researching blinds for about four months. I've received quotes from all of the major chains (Home Depot / Lowes) and even thought about getting drapes. I am so happy that I went with Wayne and harmony blinds! They were prompt and professional. He listened to my concerns and recommended a superior product that I absolutely adore. It was very easy to make the appointment for a free measurement and estimate. They were very polite and professional on the phone. The estimate went smooth and quickly. They brought a bunch of samples to choose from which made my choice easy. I received an immediate estimate. The price was great so I ordered the blinds on the spot and booked another appointment right away for installation. The turnaround time was within a few days. They were very professional and installed my blinds with no problems.

The installation was smooth for the most part, other than some issues with a couple of the window covers that was due to manufacturer error. Harmony Blinds re-ordered the parts and came back as scheduled to complete the installation job. The new blinds have changed the look of our home, and everyone is very pleased with the blinds and the quality of the install. We may decide to replace a few remaining blinds, and will definitely call Harmony Blinds again.

We obtained two bids, both from highly-rated vendors and went with Wayne based upon the quality of his presentation and the breadth of the available options. Wayne offered practical advice regarding the various window treatment options which corresponded with our preferences. He had some really solid advice on color and fabric options which we followed. We are delighted with the quality of the work and the amazingly effective insulation qualities of the honeycomb shades which were really evident yesterday afternoon as we watched Sunday evening football. Lowering the shades not only permitted easy viewing but immediately lowered the room temperature.
