Harbor Pest Control

Harbor Pest Control has excellent customer service. I had originally scheduled this work to be done in March, but my wife had a fall and we had to postpone on short notice. The staff was very helpful in rescheduling and the walk through ahead of time answered all of our questions. We were fully prepared when the crew showed up and we came back two days later to a termite free house. The whole process came off without a hitch.

They had done work on our neighbors house, my neighbor told me they were not the cheapest but the service was excellent. We had never had this done before and the experience was great. Our contact person went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We had to move out of the house for two days which is typical. They provided us with bags to put our belongings in and when we ran out of bags he brought us more immediately. We signed a contract with them so they will come back to check once a year.

Kevin is the best. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. For now, the problem seems to be resolved. AT LAST!!After two years of paying a competitor, and buying every mousetrap know to man.

They knock on the door to let me know when they're done, and they check every year for termites. We have the same technician each time.

Mike Marrero, came by on 9-19-13 for a termite inspection. He was very knowledge and answered all my questions and gave me a great understanding of termites and how they eliminate them. I also learned a lot about how they estimate the cost of the fumigation and how Harbor uses there own personnel to do the tenting where most others hire subcontractors to do the work! This was verified as I asked the other 3 that question and they acknowledged that fact. I other 3 estimates that were as much as $700 more. I was also impressed on how they monitor during the the fumigation to make sure the gas concentration stays above a required level. The workman whom did the fumigation were very quick, thorough and friendly and answered all questions that I had! Great Job!

The office person who answered the phone was extremely calming and arranged an appointment for me as soon as I needed it. The following morning, Kevin, the inspector showed up promptly. He assured me the bug I caught was not the dreaded bedbug I had feared. He answered all my questions and gave advice and several pages of info on how to cope with, and avoid, bedbugs. Other companies, including one I'd been using for ant treatment for years, wanted to charge a lot just to look in the house. Had I needed bedbug treatment, Harbor's prices were very competitive. I appreciated the honesty, telling me I didn't need the treatment service after all. I've terminated the company I used previously for other services. If I need pest control in the future, I would use Harbor based on their promptness and professionalism during the inspection.

He did a good job spraying the outside of the house

When we called the afternoon before the tenting was to begin, we were told ours was the second job and workmen would arrive at 10:00am. We were surprised at 7:45am to have the men arrived to begin the tenting! The entire house and garage was tented by 9am. Re-entry to the house was to be at 12:00noon the third day after the initial tenting. We arrived at 11am to find re-entry could have been at 9am. Mike had suggested removing the refrigerator racks and then placing the bagged food back in the refrigerator. Mike also said to have shrubbery clipped back 12" from the foundation, which our gardener did, but it appears more like 15-20" was needed. Except for mixups on time, we are pleased with the job.

The initial inspection was completed by Jeff who was very thorough and professional. I had a couple other companies come out and the quote from Harbor was the best. I felt completely cofident that the job would be done right. I would highly reccommend Jeff as the initial inspector if anyone calls this company for pest control.

We have used Harbor Pest Control for many years. They tented our house for termites and provide a yearly exam to make sure they have not come back. We use them for quarterly pest control and call them if we have any sudden pest attacks. Their technicians are always professional and reliable and go out of their way to solve our problems. The office staff is also very nice. We will continue to use them for all our pest problems.

It went really well. They provided detailed documentation on the work. The time frame was good. They scheduled with the utility company so that I did not have to do.

We trust them to do a good job. We had a rat problem once, which they were able to solve.

Harbor Pest came to measure our house (they can give you a ballpark estimate, but the job is done on perimeter measurements, not sq**2), arranged to have it tented shortly thereafter. My husband cleared the area 12-18" around the perimeter of the house. We double-bagged (they supplied the bags) all of our food and bathroom items as they showed us. They showed up on time. We had probably 30-45 minutes as they began to tent the house to finish up getting ready (a good thing, in our case!). They do their own work (not contracting out somebody else to do the tenting). The team was conscientious, careful of landscaping, very professional. Very nice company to work with. There was a little back and forth with messaging from the office to the team, but not anything to warrant a complaint.

Derek was terrific dealing with a bee infestation where extermination was the only option. We originally wanted to 'humanly' remove them and Charity at the office went out of her way to provide me with an alternate company to talk to. This demonstrated to me that they want the best for their customer even if it means that they do not perform the service. We also had Jeff out the same day to do a termite inspection. He was thorough and answered even the smallest questions. The office staff is professional and patient (had to change my appointments twice) . Derek and Jeff were on time, professional, honest and very considerate. We definitely recommend Harbor for all of your pest control needs.

I was mostly satisfied, just had a few issues regarding plant protection.

The service turned out well. I had a problem up front. However, the office manager stepped in and took care of it. I would recommend their services. Their price was also competitive compared to other quotes I received. They are a local outlet and someone is available to talk to.

Their service is good and we have no complaints. They are very congenial and they definitely work with you. Their price is reasonable compared to others. They did exactly what they said would do.

I am pleased with their service. They let us know when they are coming and check with us before coming to the property.

This is the most irresponsible company I have ever dealt with in any business. We had been using Harbor Pest Control for a couple years. They were doing an average job but not solving the bug problem on the long term scale. We had them come to do an interior service at our house. When we cam home that night, we were in complete shock. They had bombed the inside of our house with a poison chemical power. It was EVERYWHERE throughout the house! We had to move out of our house for 8 WEEKS before it was safe to move back in with our three kids. To make matters worse, Greg Augustine (the owner) tried to cover up the issue by cleaning the poison himself. He did not report the matter to California Pest Control Board and he tried to have it cleaning without hiring a hazmat licensed company to do the proper remediation. We had to throw away all the fabric furniture in our house along with all the carpets and rugs. Harbor Pest Control still has not made good on the damages for the poisonous accident that they performed. Save your yoursef the hassle and use a reputable company that will not put a family out of their house for 8 weeks.

They were excellent. Jessie and Cassie are excellent. The rodents continued to come but those two stayed at it and we have had no problems since.

We have been using their services for years. They stand by their work and everything they say. They have done really good work.

They come every 3 months. They are very nice and if I have any problems they come again and spray.

We have just moved into our house, and we have taken over the contract with them from the previous owner. We were renting the house before, and we didn’t have any issues with them. They do pretty good work, but it was a little hard to schedule with them. I thought that their scheduling was a bit difficult, and that their prices were a little high.
