Our refigerator was not cooling although freezer was working fine. Could not come out for several days, which I guess is expected when a business is busy. Arrived during time range promised, and was very nice and professional. Replaced circiut board, then defrosted coils. Has been working fine since. Charged $75 for service call, $50 labor, and $150 parts, but then gave Angie's list discount of $14.

Axel was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable. We have a German made refrigerator that most servicemen had never seen, but Axel knew it well and determined the problem right away.

It went well. The repairman was personable, punctual and instructive and quite helpful to me. He provided me with a rational and intelligent explanation for my problem . He did the necessary testing to ensure that his explanation was appropriate to the situation at hand. He also assured me he would return if my machine did not function properly once I again had hot water.

Arrived promptly assessed the problem was with the drain hose, cleared it - problem fixed

It went perfectly. The technician was here for about 30 minutes. No mess left behind.

Their pricing was more reasonable than other quotes I received. They did excellent job with service performed.

Gormsen was extremely helpful. I had another service repair person in my house that made me feel uncomfortable. They were rude and diagnosed an issue with my washer in about 60 seconds without really looking at anything. I joined Angie's list and searched BBB only to find the bad reviews of that company. I searched Angie's for new washer repair service and found great things begin said of Gormsen. I called and spoke to Axel. He was patient and listened to my story. His company does not normally fix LG washers but he was confident they could help me. Heather later called with an estimate. We scheduled an appointment for 2 days later. Jose came out and was very nice. An hour later my washer was fixed. I would definitely use them again.

I called and left a voice message (they were closed when I called). They returned my call the same day, and explained their fee structure and approach to me. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. During the whole experience, the representatives from Gormsen's were polite, courteous, and professional. Their serviceman (Jose) was on time for my appointment, which I really appreciated.

The hoses going into my washer were leaking slightly and my nephew offered to put new ones on for me. After he had finished my washer suddenly wouldn't work. We tried everything we could think of and couldn't get it to work. It's an older washer and we thought that maybe when we pulled it out from the wall some old part had gotten jostled or perhaps something was clogging the pump. I called Gormsen and asked if I could get some idea how much a repair would be. The lady I spoke to said she would have the repairman call me when he got in and he might be able to give me some idea of what the problem is and an estimate of the cost to fix it. A gentleman called me later and I explained the problem and even had him listen to the sound the machine was making when I tried to turn it on. At first he said he wasn't sure what was causing the problem but as the conversation progressed he asked me about the hoses my nephew had installed and at some point I mentioned that the elbow joint on the hose was connected to the fixture coming out of the wall. He immediately said that was probably the problem. The hoses were on backwards. They only work one way. The elbow joint has to be connected to the appliance. I am chagrined to admit that I didn't know that and apparently neither did my nephew. I switched the hoses and problem solved. He could have kept his mouth shut and made an easy quick $85 bucks at the least on a service call. Instead he generous with his time and knowledge and saved me money at a time when money is really tight for me and I appreciate it. Next time I have an appliance that needs fixing this is who I will call and someone I will recommend to others.

Called, they called back. Scheduled visit, diagnosed, returned with part for dryer, installed and was on his way. Very polite, friendly, etc. Perfect.

Microwave was not working. Display said "DOOR". Service guy (Axel) came out when he said he would. He called ahead to make sure I was home. He promptly found the blown internal fuse and replaced it. Also replaced the blown light bulb in the microwave. He had both parts with him so the job was done right there and then. While he was dismantling the oven he asked me if I wanted to take the opportunity to clean the oven vents. I had been trying to clean them in place for months with little success, so I was very grateful to him for offering this while he replaced the parts. A little more expensive to call these guys out because they are based in PB but if this is the level of their service, i am more than happy to hire them again.

Service person was late in arriving-ran into bad traffic, but did call me to let me know his anticipated arrival time and make sure it was not too late. Service was performed effieiently and cleanly. I had a coupon to use but was given it back to use on the next service by the repair person. Overall a good experience.

The owner came out to do the repair. He was in and out which really impressed me. The price was a lot lower than I thought it was going to be. He was neat and clean and all business. He didn't waste any time and he fixed it real quickly. He tightened up the handle on the freezer and refrigerator portion so he did a little bit extra. It was well worth it.

The repairman arrived on time and quickly determined why the dishwasher was not working. He replaced the part in 15 minutes.

I called Gormsen Appliance on 2/12/13 and they came out on 2/13/13. My dishwasher was very loud suddenly and I wanted them to check it out. The service person Norm came to my house on time, evaluated the dishwasher and determined no repair was needed and nothing was wrong. Of course the loud sound did not occur while he was here but I am so glad my dishwasher is fine.

They were prompt, efficient and clean. Gave me the information I needed promptly so I could make a decision. I think they did an excellent job. I will use them again.

The appointment was made by telephone with a courteous and informative company employee. A few days later Gormsen's repairman showed up on time and promptly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He also explained what happened and future options in response to our questions. I would hire Gormsen again and recommend them.

The experience with Gormsen Appliance was outstanding. The people in the shop who answered the phone and assisted me through the process and the repairmen were all very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Initially I was tempted to forgo the washer repair and try to find a new appliance, which would have been tough given the space limitations and more costly, but the repairmen were confident in their ability to complete the repair. Gormsen has a new forever customer

Our Electrolux Icon hood/microwave oven stopped heating food. Since it is only 4 years old, we preferred to try to repair it rather than replace it. Based on the reviews posted in Angies List, we called Gormsen Appliance which was a great decision. The initial telephone contact was polite and efficient. The appointment was quickly set for an estimate to be done. I was informed at the outset that the repairman might not be able to work on the Electrolux model but I agreed to have him come to the house to look at the unit anyway. On the day of the appointment, after calling me to say he was on his way, Axel Gormsen, the owner of the company, arrived at our home promptly. His demeanor was as polite and efficient as the initial telephone contact had been. The problem was diagnosed as a burned out magnetron tube which could be replaced. He agreed that it made sense to replace it since the microwave is relatively new and in excellent condition. He had to remove the heavy appliance from above the stove to look at it and was very careful about having all the counter surfaces covered for protection. The magnetron tube had to be ordered which took about a week. We stored the microwave oven in our garage during that time. Axel returned to our home and efficiently reassembled the microwave oven and put it neatly back in place in the cabinet above the stove. Fortunately, he brought another person with him to help with the heavy lifting and stabilizing of the unit. I would definitely recommend Gormsen Appliance to anyone.

I was very happy with the service. They were able to send someone very soon after I called. Tony arrived on time, and he determined which part needed to be replaced to fix the leak in the dishwasher. He had to order the part, so he returned a couple days later to install the part. Again, he arrived on time. Everything went very well and the dishwasher doesn't leak any more.

Called Gormsen Appliance this morning. Repairman (Alex) showed up 2 hours later. He quickly diagnosed the issue (frosted air return, damaged fan block) and replaced the non-functioning parts (installed fan block kit). Quick, courteous and priced right. Will use Gormsen for any appliance issues.

Arriving as scheduled, Tony knew exactly what he was doing and worked quickly to disassemble and diagnose the problem. He then called his company to see if they had the parts (when I had initially ordered the service, Heather was unable to tell me if they could get parts for my model). He had to retrieve them and return the next day, giving us an estimate of $200 for the job parts and labor. After installing the needed parts, Tony recommended we swap out the coils which meter the gas for an additional $25.00 as preventive maintenance. Although the replacement new coils looked identical, I agreed to this. On presenting the bill for $239.34, Tony pointed out how much we saved in actual labor and small parts such as exhaust vent. When I asked for the 5% discount, he said he'd already discounted us.

all went well - arrived on time, finished work in a timely manner. all good.

Office staff was very accommodating in scheduling service and on the day of service providing a closer estimate for time of arrival of Tech. Tech did an excellent job and was informative and courteous. Definitely would call them again and do recommend them. They do charge a service call fee that is not applied to the cost of the repair but the cost of the repair was so reasonable, I felt the service fee was deserved.
