When I called to schedule a service repair appointment the person who answered the phone did not answer professionally and was not polite during our phone conversation. Additionally she said that no one could come to my house for the repair until 7 days later. When I said that I would need to call another service provider in order to get service more rapidly, she was more than happy to say OK and hang up. I certainly didn't leave with the impression that they wanted my business.

First time using Angie's list. I put the request in online but also followed up with a phone call. I was scheduled for an appointment for two days later which I was happy with as I have had to wait a week with prior services. The repairman cleared the area around my washing machine and sent it through diagnostics. He discovered that there was some type of material blocking the pump. He cleaned out, tested and recommended using it before replacing the pump which he didn't think I needed. In the end I was charged the service call of $90 plus a labor fee of $25 which is his charge for 15 minutes of labor (he worked on it longer than 15 minutes). There was a deal on Angie's list which was A $75 credit for $50 so it ended up costing me just $90 for the visit. The repairman also stated that if the pump did need to be replaced it would need to be ordered and I wouldn't be charged another service call just the $25 for labor for each 15 minutes and it would probably cost $50 in labor plus the part. I was satisfied. Thanks for the prompt and efficient service.

After some initial scheduling problems where Gormsen claimed they never received my requested schedule dates from Angie's List, the rest of my experience was fine. Tony replaced the washer valve in 15 minutes.

I thought I might need either a new motor or a new washer, but it was a broken plastic piece that caused the leak. They replaced the plastic piece and even spent time filing off some rust underneath. No leaks since then!! They were prompt and professional and the price was reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

The repairman diagnosed the washer problem and repaired the machine within thirty minutes. We were only charged for the house call, as the repair required no parts replacement. The technician was very friendly, capable and efficient.

Axel was the technician (who happens to be the owner of the company) was on time, totally professional and efficient. He diagnosed the problem, fixed my dishwasher, and cleaned up after himself. I couldn't be more pleased.

repair went well, only "ding" is for promptness as the tech arrived over an hour after he called to say he'd arrive in about 15 minutes. They were able to do repair same day- which was great

Called Gormsen to describe the problem (loud & scary arcing when tenant tried to turn on the microwave). They arranged to schedule an appointment with the tenant. A couple of days later, technician arrived and diagnosed a burned-out transformer. Estimated replacement cost was nearly $300 for an out-of-stock transformer. I inquired about the cost of a replacement microwave. It took a day or two for them to get back to me. Since a replacement for the 20-year-old unit cost much less than twice the repair cost, I opted for the new unit. 3 days later, tenant had a nice new microwave. Gormsen was very accommodating with respect to billing. The tenant/owner situation didn't phase them at all.

Very professional. Jose arrived on time - even called 30 min ahead to say he was on his way. He diagnosed the problem right away. He replaced the pump on my washer and was done in about an hour. I was happy with the service and the price. I would definitely use Gormsen again.

He was very professional, pleasant, quick, and knew exactly what was wrong. This saved me from buying a new gas clothes dryer. I would definitely use this company again. Evidently they have people who specialize in specific areas because the repairman said he specialized in dryers.

Called and scheduled appointment. Provider arrived on time, was professional, had the part needed and was able to fix it. No problems.

He arrived with the correct, explained the problem, removed and replaced the sump part in a few minutes. Obviously he was well experienced. His bill was less than the estimate first given. I was very pleased with his professionalism, congeniality and honesty.

We noticed that our refrigerator was running a little too warm and we were starting to notice our milk and other items starting to expire much faster than normal. I had heard a lot of good things about Gormsen so I gave them a call and scheduled a technician out to a**** the problem. I received a call from their repairman saying the job he was currently working on was running late and if it was OK if he came two hours later around 4pm. I had some errands to run so I said sure and went out for a few hours. This was nice since I didn't have to wait around for him twiddling my thumbs. When he finally got to my house he took a look at the fridge and immediately figured out the problem and fixed it within 20 minutes. It has been working great ever since and it only cost $150.00! Thanks guys!

Russ from Gormsen Appliance was supposed to meet us between 1:00 and 4:00. At about 1:00, he called to let us know he was running late. When he arrived, about 15 minutes later, he was very efficient. He realized there was a problem with the condenser fan and brought the motor with him. I called the company in advance to let them know the make and model number. He quickly replaced the fan and then he looked at another problem with the ice dispenser. My wife explained the situation. He said it would cost quite a bit to fix it. He tried to call for quotes but was unable to get a quote for the part. He left within 20-30 minutes of arriving. He fixed the initial problem and will still look into fixing the ice dispenser.

Called Gormsen bright and early on Monday morning. I explained that my Mother's dryer had died and full of wet clothes no less. The repairman came out that morning, assessed the repair; the dryer need a new motor, and told me that he would go to the shop and order the motor and return the next day to put it in. Everything happened as planned and the dryer is humming along for a few more years. This repair was performed at another location, not my house, but in Del Mar.

Repairman was prompt and extremely knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, promptly showed up as soon as they arrived and fixed the problem with our refrigerator. Couldn't have wished for better service.

Phone contact was pleasant. Service man came on time and did a good job. Nicely done overall. Would use them again.

I called them on a Tuesday to come look at my Kenmore refrigerator which was no longer cooling. They were very polite and knowledgeable on the phone. They told me it would be $75 for diagnosis, estimate and first 15 minutes of work should service be required. $25 for each 15 minutes of labor following plus parts. They were not able to come out for a service call until the following Tuesday. I was able to find another company who could come out much sooner so I canceled my appointment with Gormsen

Our freezer drain tube was continually freezing up, resulting in ice forming in the bottom of the freezer that eventually melted and drained into the refrigerator compartment. I tried several times to de-ice the drain tube, but it each time it eventually re-froze. Apparently this is a common problem and Mr. Gormsen quickly diagnosed and installed the heating element to fix it. Problem solved.

The repairman was available early, so he called to see if he could come early. It was obvious what the problems were: he showed me each thing and I agreed that they were all in need of replacement. He was courteous, efficient, and left the laundry room clean.

The serviceman was on the phone with the maker and had done all the things they suggested because he could not figure it out. Next thing I knew he was gone. I called him and he said the company would call me next week to set up another appt. So, I had to wait another week for him to come back. I really don't understand why he left in the first place. Then he figured it out and ordered the part.

Our refigerator was not cooling although freezer was working fine. Could not come out for several days, which I guess is expected when a business is busy. Arrived during time range promised, and was very nice and professional. Replaced circiut board, then defrosted coils. Has been working fine since. Charged $75 for service call, $50 labor, and $150 parts, but then gave Angie's list discount of $14.
