This company did a great job. Russ N was very helpful and technically confident. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The technician was dismissive of descriptions of the problems being experienced, and insisted that the clothing damage taking place (on several occasions) in the dryer could not happen, and further claimed that there couldn't be anything wrong with the washer (which sometimes refuses to spin-dry). He insisted that the washer was simply hitting an out-of-balance condition. This diagnosis seems rather unlikely, since the washer has been in use for years, and never had this sort of fault until a few months ago. We decided to pay the diagnosis/trip charge and replace the appliances.

I thought it was thew dryer belt but it turned out to be another part in my 20 plus years old machine. He had the part on the truck so it was an extra $15 for the part and labor over the original bi deal price of $50. he was quick, courteous and professional.

'I bought this deal on Angie's list and then set up a date for Gormsen's to come to my house through Angie's online as well. There was a miscommunication at their office about the date and time of my appointment - one hand not talking to the other kind of thing. So they missed their first appointment with me which is why I marked them down on 'Punctuality', but they made up for it with the way they responded to the problem which is why they ended up with an overall grade of A. Just give the office a call and confirm your appointment if you make it online. The repairman they sent out was very nice, professional, knew what he was doing and handled everything very thoroughly. I was quite please with the job he did and I felt the price was reasonable. I have used Gormsen's a few times before - once each for a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a bathtub repair. This is over the course of say 10 years and my Mother used them before that. They have been in Pacific Beach a long time and have a good and fair reputation. All my experiences have been great with them. Each different person they sent knew their business, arrived in the scheduled time, and fixed everything. I do highly recommend them.

I made an appt. via email during the weekend when Gormsen Appliance, Co. was closed. They emailed "and" called me promptly-first thing Monday morning. We set up an Appointment. The service Rep. was on time and was able to diagnose that we had a broken anchor for the spring in the door. There was no electronics problems with the microwave so the Service Rep performed a repair on the broken grill and touch pad panel instead of replacing them. Replacement cost for a new grill was $155 and new touch pad panel $140. I paid total repair cost of $105 for the service call and repairs. So Yes, I am happy with the service price, quality of repairs, responsiveness to my call, punctuality of the service rep. and the professionalism of this company. Thank You and Merry Christmas!

Arrived within stated time, new right away what the problem was with the refrigerator. Also replaced the ice maker, which he noticed was not working properly. We were also having problems with the dryer, which he discovered was just a simple shortening and readjustment of the duct line. Took about 1 1/2 hours and his charge was quite reasonable.

The technician came out to diagnose a refrigerator problem. Noted that the cooing fan was not working but missed that there was no coolant (freon leak). My tenant reported poor service. I called back and the owner then went out diagnosed the refrigerator was dead. Two trips and my having to go on-site to correct the misdiagnosis lead to my rating.

They did the basic job and that was all.

They were kind in answering our questions. They were careful with the dryer and did the work properly. They cleaned up before they left from the job. It was nice having a company who was honest and cared about their customer.

They guided me step by step on what to do. I'm very happy because I didn't have to waste time paying probably for expensive parts that were not going to revive my old broken refrigerator.

Took my microwave into their shop and they did the work promptly and efficiently. And, since I needed work done on my refrigerator also, they delivered my microwave oven out when they came to repair the fridge. They called me prior to coming out to ensure I was there and were prompt. Assessed the situation, ordered the part, and came back out and fixed as soon as possible. Great service! Their service repairman (Axel) was very helpful and polite. This is the second time I have used these folks and would do it again without hesitation. Just to drive the point home.....I live in Chula Vista and drove to their shop in Pacific Beach because the service is that good.................

Purchased deal for $50 for $75 of appliance service. After purchasing contacted provider who refused to honor certificate because they do not service my brand of appliance (Bosch). Called Angie's to ask for refund. Customer service offered to find another provider to honor certificate. Customer service called back with name of provider. I researched given provider on Angie's list to find they have a B rating. I called back to find out why I had to use a B rated provider. Ended up requesting a refund. Went back on Angie's list to look up another A rated appliance repair company. Found one, called, and owner told me how to fix my problem on the phone. Angie's list is good if you do your homework. Will not purchase Deals anymore. They do not receive appropriate monitoring by Customer service.

It was pretty good. I had given them model #, etc. of the dishwasher a week before they came out. When service guy showed up latch he had did not work, had to get another one, came back in about 1/2 hr. and installed. He was neat about his work and did a good job but also seemed interested in selling us a new dishwasher.

This company is awesome will use again. I could smell gas in my dryer and thought there was something wrong with my dryer. It turns out that there was a leak coming from the valve at the house that connects to the dryer. It was replaced quickly and we are very happy with the quality of the work. This company is great. Thanks for the great service!

It took them three or four times to come out because it just did not work out. The person who came here the first three times, I did not like him at all. He did not say hi and seemed, like, mad to work. I don't know if he was tired, or what. The fourth time he was more friendly and said hi, like normal people. I was not that happy with the company. The first time he was here he ordered a part for the dishwasher. The second time, about a week later, he came again and ordered the same part. The part would only work one or two times and then did not work again. When I called him again he said it was a different part so he ordered another part, which I don't even think he knew what it was. It was almost brand new; I had like a year or year and a half with the dishwasher. When he came back with the new part he said it was not that, but was the on/off switch so I did not have to pay $150 for the new part. I don't think he knew what was going on with my dishwasher, but he did not say that. I am not calling them again. I suppose their pricing was okay. Their punctuality was the worst. They told me one to four, between those hours and he would call about 4:30 saying that in 15 minutes he was going to be there. I think he was very tired and p*ssed a the end of his day. Maybe if I get him at 8 o'clock he will be more nice. I will never, ever use hem again in the future.

Discovered a lose wire on the second service call. Don't know why it wasn't found the first time.

After arriving went to check washer to service , after asking for brief problem description immediately decided the problem was the pump & replaced it. Then replaced back of washer, and proceded to write up bill. DID NOT CHECK TO SEE IF IT WORKED AT ALL! We briefly mentioned that washer was old already and tech immediately went into salesman mode, pushing an appliance they carried. We paid them and he left. After tech had departed I noticed a screw on the floor, checked the washer & found it belong to the back panel and he had not only missed it but had not properly replaced back panel. So I knelt down to fix myself, only to find the floor was soaking wet causing me to pull the entire washer out & mop up the flooded floor under the washer. HE HAD JUST WALKED OFF AND LEFT OUR LAUNDRYROOM FLOOR SOAKING WET & NEVER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED ANY OF THE ISSUES. I then checked the supposedly needed new pump to find a slight leak. We called them later to mention issue & no call was returned or even acknowledged. THE Tech's name was Tony , and I believe he has been with the company for many years. We used to rave about them, but wont ever call them again. We were kind of treated like we were just a couple of "stupid woman" with no clue about our own appliances . I HIGHLY RESENTED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE!!

Well he said there was a leak. Really though I don't see one. Also the only problem was I used too much dishwasher detergent and now I use less and everything is hunky dory. So i am really not sure if this guy was a con artist or not. I am having no problems with my dishwasher and he took $50 and told me I needed a new one and said I could apply the $50 to the old one and it seems to be FINE. I am not saying for SURE This guy was a crook but I don't know for sure.

Did not use them due to the outrageous Sevice Call fee. I worked with another provider I found on Angies list and the Service Call fee was $35.

Bought a new stove from another dealer

I was not there. My wife said the technician was very friendly and informative. He communicated the diagnostic and repair process effectively. No muss, no fuss, happy wife, happy life.

Very prompt, very knowledgeable, very efficient. We were very happy with the service, and will definitely use again when needed.

I did not use this provider as I needed someone to respond immediate since my refrigerator was not keeping anything cold. The soonest they could get a repair person out was the following Tuesday. I ended up using a repair person from 1-800-APPLIANCE.
