Description of Work: Repaired washer by replacing noisy tub bearing. They also replaced transmission and axle bearing which I later felt was unnecessary. They tore the dryer duct and left. Had to call and return when they came back to replace the duct. Service guy moved washer by pushing and dragging and I think that he may have torn the flooring. There were two guys there. They could have used a specific lifting technique to move the washer. I feel that I was mislead about what needed to be replaced but I didn't realize it until after the job was complete. At first, they didn't even want the job but they called back 1/2 hour later to let me know they could do it. I'm sorry I used this company to do my washer repairs. Never again.

Description of Work: Replaced the water pump on a 10 year old Kenmore washing machine. Took two trips: one to diagnose the problem, one to make the repair after the part arrived. Both visits were scheduled to the hour. A very pleasant experience.

Description of Work: Repaired Dishwasher. Called ahead and got model of Dishwasher. Brought two parts each costing $175-200. Put first one in - didn't fix it. Put second one in - that fixed it. Wanted to leave the first one in even though it was not the problem - insisted it would fail eventually - had water stains on one of the components (really? It's a dishwasher!). I insisted he remove it - a less knowledgeable consumer, e.g. my wife, would have accepted this $175 unnecessary part. Repairman was upset and I believe padded to bill to recover the Angie "deal" discount. We might use again since he was prompt and knowledgeable,but only if I was going to be there while the repairs were being made!

Description of Work: Fixed Motor in Refrigerator. I had thought I needed to buy a new one, mine was hot on the outside, and melting on the inside. I almost bought a new one the day before, but decided to go to Gormsen since I had read good reviews. When I told the repairman/salesman about my refrigerator, he said he thought it sounded like a....motor and could be fixed. And he came out that day (when I said I was desperate) and did it!! Saved me hundreds!

Description of Work: First appointment no showed. Then owner came out to fix trash compactor. Ordered a part (or said he did) took 2 months, Part was the wrong part. He had a raging, screaming fit and swore when he figured it out in my kitchen, was very scary, I thought he had hurt himself of something like that. I did not feel safe with him in the house. In the end he said he couldn't fix it. So, now 3 months later I still have a broken trash compactor. Do not use this company under any circumstances. Scary man.

Description of Work: I had a belt on the washing machine break. They showed up on time and was able to indetify the issue within minutes. He called the home office to confirm the part number and checked his van and I was in luck since he had the part. | |Hopefully I won't have to use them again but if I do I will be sure to give then a ring.
