Description of Work: I purchased the deal for a garage door tune-up. After I made the appointment, my garage door spring broke. I emailed Garage Door Medics and explained what had happened and that I would need more than a tune-up. Cynthia was helpful, responding immediately to my message, and arranged for the technician to have enough time to not only do the tune-up but fix the problem. And he did ... he was very friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, and professional. He showed me every piece of the problem and before proceeding to replace the worn out or broken parts explained what the problem was and how it should corrected and the approx. cost of part. He did it all: replaced the rollers, spring and pulleys, etc. Garage door hasn't worked this great in years! It goes up and down smoothly and is so quiet now! Well pleased with the response and the finished job - will definitely use again!

Description of Work: It went great. The guy knew his business so instead of throwing some oil on the door wheels like I thought would happen, I did a complete overhaul. Door works great and actually stopped sounding like it was going to come off the hinges. Now it's nice a quiet. Love it.

Description of Work: My garage door was acting weird; it would go halfway down and then open back up, and this only happened in the afternoon when the sun shined directly into the garage. The tech re-adjusted the sensors and lubed up the rollers, and gave me some advice on possible future repairs.

Description of Work: Checked door and found broken spring. They replaced both springs and all rollers lubricated the gear and tuned the motor. All for $279.00. I'm glad I called!

Description of Work: purchased a deal from angies list and requested to have them also replace springs while they were here. Gave them the information on the type of door I have so that they would have the right parts when they came. Technician came and told me that they would have to order the parts. He would do it on Monday as I had a weekend appointment. 5 days latter I finally got a message from them telling me that they could not get the parts and would have to refer me to another company. Thank you for the referral. I spoke with the company that they referred me to and they were able to come out and perform the work. the strange part is that the company they referred me to is the company that they purchase parts from. Don't know why they did not want to buy the parts and do the work them selves. I would never call this company again. Description of Work: We moved in just a few months ago, and don't use the garage door that often. So it took us this long to discover that the previous owners had effectively put a band-aid on what was a serious problem with the garage door mechanism. It finally let us know by sloping to one side and grinding to a halt halfway up...luckily it didn't come crashing down. Garage Door Medics sent someone to the house within a couple of hours: he quickly diagnosed the problem (and it's apparent history), completely repaired it, and threw in plenty of advice on routine maintainance for the future.

Description of Work: We decided to go for a new partial glass door instead of switching out the extension spring system for a torsion spring system on our 25y old garage door. To ease the decision the sales rep gave us multiple addresses so that we can drive by and check the look. After we picked the colour we got an install date in 3 weeks. The team arrived on time after a courtesy call and were done in a few hours. No problems at all, the door works well and we love the look!
