Rick the technician was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. He replaced both springs, tightened and greased everything up and was done in under an hour. Highly recommend this company

They reconfigured the door, replaced the spring, and replaced the strut. Guy claimed that the last guys didn't set up the door properly -- "the last guys" was Garage Door Medics. Actually, this was the fourth time I used them. Their techs tell a great story and exude plenty of knowledge and confidence -- but my experience with them has been that they are merely out to extract money. They've worked on that door 4 times over the course of 7 years, and none of them have gotten it right. This particular repair only lasted 16 months.

Jesse Mendez quickly assessed our garage door and opener and diagnosed the problem. He explained the issue and answered our questions. Then he replaced the aging spring and re-calibrated the opening mechanism in the motor. Jesse was professional and personable. He was a delight to work with. The technician showed up on a Sunday morning, at no extra charge, on time. He assessed the problem quickly, and figured out how to repair it efficiently and relatively inexpensively.

I wanted someone to check my roll-up garage door because it seemed to be getting louder than ever. I read reviews on Angie’s List, Google, and Yelp. I called Garage Door Medics because they had the most highly rated reviews. Flora answered my phone call; she was very nice and professional. I was able to get a date/time period that worked for me. I also told Flora that I had a coupon from Angie’s List & she said they would honor that. On day of appointment, Eric called to tell me he could be at my address within 15 minutes which was great for me. He looked at my garage door & started to work. As he worked, he showed me where to grease the rollers, hinges, etc. He also showed me where to grease the door opener screw drive. He told me which products were best for the door & gave me a recommended schedule to perform this activity myself. He also informed me that my door (Wayne Dalton brand) had a unique spring configuration. He told me what to expect if/when it did break. He did not try to up-sell me on anything. Eric was very pleasant, willing to share information about my garage door, very efficient. I highly recommend Eric and Flora at Garage Door Medics.

I was given a 4 hour window and Josh arrived within that time, he even called me first to say he's on his way. It went very well and it didn't take very long.

I have used Garage Door Medics in the past and they never disappoint. Eric, the service tech, was on time, very courteous and professional and did a fantastic job of assessing my garage door. He then performed routine maintenance on it and it works like new again! I highly recommend this company for their expertise, professionalism and honesty.

Was able to have the technician out the same day. Very punctual and professional, called me 30 minutes before so I had time to get home. Showed me what he did and explained what may need to be done in the future as well as some tips for maintenance.

I spoke with Rickey when I first called GDM to set up the service for my broken opener and he was very knowledgeable about what I needed repaired. He told me that James would be the tech and gave me a 4 hour window for service that day. I was pleased that they would come out right away. James came out within the 4 hour window and told me what had to be done and what he would do to fix the problem. James was one of the most friendly service people we ever had. He did the work very quickly and we were 100% satisfied with the job he did. We totally recommend Garage Door Medics, Inc. for any service on YOUR door!

Great! The garage door was out of alignment. Routine maintenance was completed. Service was wonderful and employee was very knowledgeable. I will probably need a new door (I have a 15 year old door and a short driveway. People often use it to turn around and have hit the door multiple times). I've used Garage Door Medics three times with wonderful results and when I do replace the garage door, etc. I'll be calling them (as soon as I figure out how to keep others from bumping into the door!) I highly recommend Garage Door Medics!!

Very well. He was on time and very professional. He explained what he was going to do, and also provided information for upkeep of the doors.

Great. Finished in about an hour. Very courteous. Explained the needed repairs and what repairs were not essential.

Just fine. The technician lubricated the door and all is good. He also pointed out that our door really should have two springs rather than just one but wasn't pushy about getting me to do the work.

I used a coupon received in the mail to request a "check-up" of our garage door and door opener. I can't comment on the "quality" of work, since I didn't watch the techs and they didn't do any repairs. But the whole process was just completely strange: very lackadaisical with no real indication that the company cared much about our business. I was not given an immediate report on the inspection - which I think such companies should 'always' provide so the customer has a record of what was done/found and can talk about it with the tech with direct knowledge of exactly what was inspected.. When the techs finished, one of them just noted that things seemed to be fine, except that I should watch one of the door panels since it slightly bowed when the door moved up and down and could become a problem. Since I was given no inspection report, I called the office later and asked for one. I was just sent a receipt for my payment ($58), which was pretty useless. I had to ask a second time by e-mail, and received back an "Initial Safety Inspection" form with virtually no details - and no mention of what the tech had told me, so I had no written record of it. (The form might have only been done up 'after' my e-mail message.) The form says: "Initial Safety Inspection BEFORE 25 Point Inspection Can Be Started" - asking the tech to note whether the door opener worked and whether the door reversed when the opener sensed an obstruction. But 'nowhere' was there any mention of what the "25-Point Inspection" included - or even whether it was carried out. A very unsatisfactory experience for what should have been a pretty straight-forward process to complete to my satisfaction. I'm calling another company to do another inspection/check-up that I have confidence in.

They were great! They did a really nice job. I will recommend them and use them, again.

Leo the tech did a good job. He has been at my home before for maintenance/repair. This time he arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time and diagnosed that the garage door opener needed to be replaced (he had told me when he was here about 9 mos. ago that the garage door opener was not going to last much longer, so this was not surprising (it was 23 years old)). Leo presented me with various options, patiently explained the costs and benefits of each option, and, once I decided, he completed the work quickly and efficiently. He explained how the new opener works, and he left the garage clean/the way he found it. I recommend Leo and look forward to seeing him again when I call to have annual routine maintenance performed on the new opener.

It never fails - whatever doesn't work will work when the technician arrives. My garage door opener would not close - intermittently. Robert Tagaloni of Garage Door Medics answered my service call and performed the garage door tune-up before moving on to troubleshooting the opener. The opener had a "sometimes, maybe" sort of problem so Robert fine-tuned the opener and asked me to give him a call if the opener malfunctioned again. Sure enough, within hours after Robert left the opener failed to close. I called Garage Door Medics again and asked for Robert. Robert and I talked about possible causes and we jointly decided that a garage door opener replacement was more cost effective than buying various electronic boards and hoping that one of them would fix my 21 year old opener. Robert presented me with several choices for openers and let me decide which one I wanted. On the appointed day Robert and Mark Jones arrived to install the new garage door opener. I was very impressed with the way Robert and Mark removed the old opener and replaced it with a new one. When I asked them if there was an option to let me monitor the door via the internet they had a ready solution and even gave me a discount on the item I needed. Mark reprogrammed the Homelink interfaces in both my cars so that they worked with my new opener - of course, one of my vehicles would not accept re-programming easily, but Mark knew just what had to be done to make it work. I couldn't be happier with the professionalism that Robert and Mark displayed, the attention to detail in the removal and installation of the new unit and the time they took to ensure that everything was working before they left.

Great. Gene walked me through exactly what was causing the squeaks and advised replacement of the rollers which after his detailed walk through clearly were the cause and in need of replacement. He also took the time to walk me through how to properly lubricate the key joints specific to my equipment and verify that I had the right lubricant to do so.
