An evening Service call was returned immediately. We had Joel show up at our door within half an hour. He was able to resolve our issue within an hour, so our garage door was functional again. We were in no position to compare price point, not sure if it's the best deal in town..but he knows his stuff!

They did a great job and the door is much quieter and has been working great. He was very efficient in getting the work done.

Everything went well, and I'm happy with the service. They showed up on time, did a good job with both tasks, and acted professionally while at the house.

Garage door wasn't opening. Garage Door Medics technician Joel arrived at scheduled time, trouble shot the system and suggested correction options. An adapter was added to correct an RF issue and we purchased a required new remote. Joel was courteous, efficient and professional.

Garage Door Medic scheduled an appointment with me, then did not show up, or call until after the scheduled appointment time. I did not see them, and rate very poorly contractors that schedule an appointment, don’t show up, and don’t give the customer the courtesy of call informing them of the inability to keep an appointment, until after the fact.

really well, I received a list of check points and overall health of my door. I was quoted a price for a new motor as mine is very old and showing its age. When I need a new motor all I have to do is call.

I had called to schedule the work the previous day, so was happy they could get to my job so soon. The two techs called ahead and advised they were 20 min away; arrived in less than 15. They showed up within the time window I had been given by the scheduler. They went right to work performing the services included in the Big Deal, They were very good about explaining what they were doing and why. They couldn't help but notice the noisy opener system. I asked why it was so noisy and they said it was probably because the bushings in the motor were worn and that ultimately the motor would fail without warning. One of the techs gave a short history of the brand and said that its durability decreased markedly after it was bought by another company some 10-12 years ago. I asked what it would cost to replace the system. They gave me an estimate and I decided to purchase the system, a Chamberlain Lift Master, which they said is the best currently on the market. They installed the new system, took away the old one, and briefed me on operation and maintenance, as well as what to do if the photocells became misaligned. They also reprogrammed the HomeLink (TM) systems on the family cars. They also installed a strut across the top of the garage door to prevent sag. Both techs were very professional and knowledgeable, each having more than 18 years experience with garage doors. They performed the work efficiently and were totally on top of the inevitable minor snags that arose. I am very happy with the new opener--it is VERY quiet and smooth. They might be more expensive (I'm not sure), but I think in the future I will call Garage Door Medics when/if I have problems instead of the service I have previously used, because of their knowledge and efficiency.

There was an ad in Angie's monthly publication for a discounted garage door tune up. When I called to set an appt, a man named David took all of the information and confirmed a date and time. He then immediately sent me a confirmation via email. On the day scheduled we received a 20 minutes "heads up" call from the technician "Eric". He could not have been more helpful and basically provided me with a garage door maintenance tutorial!! We will definitely use this company again!

I had a previous inspection from another company and Garage Door Medics were amazed because the way the door was left was very unsafe. They were very informative by providing pictures and showing defective parts. I am very happy with their service and professionalism.

Our service technician, Pedro, was on time and very professional. The bracket arm had broken off our garage door and we were afraid the entire door would have to be replaced. He assured us he could fix it. He came on a Saturday but did not have the part required. He ordered it and then in only two days (Monday) he was able to come back and do the repair. We had also been having trouble with our garage door opener - it was very old. He recommended replacing it which we were thinking of anyway. The work was done promptly. The price was exactly as was quoted. We would certainly work with them again.

John is a pro. He knows his stuff. Only problem was getting him here or letting me know that he was delayed. Due 12-4, called close to 4 saying he was delayed. I asked him to reschedule. New schedule was Saturday 8 - 12. Called at 3:30. I started to cancel, but agreed to first thing Sunday AM. He showed up at 7:30 and waited until 8 to call. Once here he made quick work of repairing, checking, lubricating, reprogramming one remote (the other had a bad battery.) Door #2 was badly bent because the previous installer failed to put the required spar across the top. John disabled door so there would be no more damage until I decided how and when repairs to be made. Everything was patiently explained to me everything he had done and what options he recommended. I should note the garage is filled with stuff from our recent move. Until the area below the door is cleared, John can't get in to make repairs. I will call Garage Door Medics once I am ready to repair door.

John was extremely thorough inspecting and diagnosing the needs of our garage door and its motor. Our Genie motor is over 18 years old and he knew exactly how to diagnose and fix its problems. He taught me how to lubricate the machinery on the door. He explained what he was doing to educate me on our garage door and motor. I am very happy with GD Medics and will enthusiastically refer any of my friends to them. In particular, John. He is knowledgeable and friendly. He took his time to make sure everything was working correctly before he wrapped up the service. He went beyond what I expected for the service and am very impressed.

They were excellent. The particular technician they had do the work was outstanding. He really understood garage doors and understood them beautifully. We got into a bit of a mess with the billing situation. We exchanged phone calls and emails on the billing issue. However, the technician did a very good job and understood everything very well. At the end, they asked if I was satisfied with the work. While I wasn’t overall satisfied, I understood that there was just a misunderstanding. They had a technician come along who was in a trailing role for the technician who was completing the work. The work they did and the ability to understand the nature of the problem and solve it was outstanding.

There is a circuit breaker that keeps the opener from shutting off. We were unable to locate where it was at and we hired Garage Door Medics. They located the switch, turned it on, and charged me $48 for the work which was more than what their advertised special was. They said that this work was not covered by that special.

Amazing! I usually do not write reviews, as I am a very cautious and detail-oriented home owner. And I have had dozens of contractors out to the house over the years I have owned it. Garage Door Medics deserves A+ in all categories. I broke my door by lowering it onto my bicycle (the bike is OK). This rolled the cable off one of the wheels adjacent to the spring, broke several of the wheels in the track, bent the door panels, and bent the track in several places. I called GDM late Thursday night and left a message. They called me back before 8am the next day, and came out by 9:30am to look at the door. We picked a new door, and scheduled for 10am on Monday, and by noon Monday I had a new door. The installer was able to reuse our existing opener. He pointed out that the tension setting (at which the door reverses) had been set way too high on the previous door, and that?s why it failed to reverse when hitting the bike. We tested the manual roll of the new door ? it is easy to lift and roll it when disconnected from the opener. And we tested the reverse mechanism setting ? perfect. In addition, the installer explained the routine lubrication and maintenance I should perform as the home owner. No other installer ever explained that before, and this is my 3rd house. I highly recommend Garage Door Medics.

Other problems showed up after they left and I had to bring in someone else to put in new springs. I was told that I was overcharged for the additional part and it should have cost only $70 instead of $120. I was happy with they did except for the overcharging and the additional work that needed done.

They worked out fine. They are pretty responsive, came out quickly, and are very knowledgeable.

We very happy with their performance. He seemed very competent. He came out and completed the job in a real timely fashion. He had all of the equipment needed with him to complete the work and didn’t have to come back for additional visit.

The service was great. I paid $49 for the service call and $570 for some repair work. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything as they were doing it. It was great.
