explained in detail what he was doing and why.-- how digital signal works or does not, practical first steps [reprogram computer by pulling "TV plug" - gave us options and prices - recommended least expensive - gave us used part free -did entire job and out the door in well under an hour.

Replaced a pair of torsion springs (1 broken) and door seal. Good work. Tech Dave was knowledgeable and efficient. Used an Angie's List coupon!

I engaged these guys through Angie's list deal for a full garage door tune-up. They promptly scheduled the appointment. on 12/17/2013 and showed up on time. After performing the inspection the technician recommended some repairs like replacing a couple of cracked hinges, installing a 16' strut to reinforce one of the panels that was showing some wear and tear. He said by doing this the door should be good for about 6 months to a year and then I should prepare for replacing the panel. Charged me $170 for parts and labor for the additional work and replaced the rollers. So far so good. On 12/31, the garage door stopped working and I called up Garage Door Medics to report the problem and asked if someone could come over to inspect what the problem is. The lady on the phone said she would send someone over right away (did not mention that this would cost me extra). So the tech arrives, determines that the door needs to be reset and promptly tells me it's going to be $279 to get it working. Upon seeing my utter disbelief, he breaks down the cost as ($200 to reset the door and $79 for showing up on a holiday!!) At this point, I demanded to speak to his manager and register my displeasure as to the way things were being handled. He called up somebody and came back and told me that his manager would call me back in 5 min and left. I still haven't heard back from anybody. I am appalled at Garage Door Medics' customer service and will not ever use them again. Stay away.

We had a great experience. The technician was prompt, knowledgeable and fast. Took care of the problem right away. We will use them again if we needed. The technician also called up and gave us heads up 30 min. prior to his arrival. He also educated my husband about the issue we had with the garage door. Overall very good experience.

Our garage door stopped working on Christmas day so we were very happy Garage Door Medics was able to get someone out the next day. The technician was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem immediately and provided me a quick quote. He then beat the quote by about $50 by the time he was done. It was a bit more expensive than I thought it should be, but I'm not sure that's their fault. I've never had to replace a spring, so the price may be about right. A day after he left we saw a loose wire by the garage door spring that could've been shorted if we hadn't noticed it. I was able to tie it up, but I wish they had seen it and secured it. It had never been loose before the service. Overall I liked them. However, if we weren't in a hurry for service I would get 2-3 quotes before using them again.

In addition to the Big Deal, they fixed another door and installed a wireless door opener. They were very professional and I would recommend them.

Jeff was the serviceman. Very professional in performing services. Explained in detail why and what he was doing. Wasn't bothered by having me hanging over his shoulder. Definitely will be using this company for future needs. Great job.

After the first rain, the door would stop part way up. I called and they came out the next day, readjusted the tension and lubricated the track. No charge for the second visit as it was within the 30 day warranty. Both technicians were very pleasant and professional. They called before arriving and were on time. I would use them again and recommend them to others!!

Performed tune-up of garage door. Greased hinges, bearings, wheels, adjusted tension on chain, adjusted opener setting to fully open door; paired opener with car's homelink. All went well. However, it took two calls to get them to come out though. Once there, he did a great job.

This was a great service and everything is now like new!

When I called for repair I thought my garage door opener was in bad shape. It didn't open and or close when I needed it to. The technician, Joel arrived on time after calling first to let me know he was on the way. After looking at everything he was able to do just a few minor adjustments and maintenance. Joel explained how the whole system worked and the importance of using the correct lubricant. Which we were not doing. Instead of a big over haul and huge bill, Joel did a bunch of little things that added up to a perfectly working garage door. He even got rid of the noise that we have lived with for years.

I did purchase the big deal service coupon but was unable to use it. When the serviceman arrived he determined that I had broken springs that needed to be replaced but may purchased service coupon could not be used for repair service. So I'm the end I paid full price for the repairs and I still have the service coupon unused. I will probably not buy a service coupon again since it could not be used for actual repairs.

Their scheduling was terrible ( ie they consistently did not show up at all or much later than they said they would). I would never use this company again.

They showed up when scheduled and called ahead of time. I didn't need all that I paid for, but that was my problem, not theirs. He did what needed to be done in a timely manner. I really don't remember the exact date.

From my first contact with Irene to set up the repair to Jeff, the gentleman who arrived to do the repair Garage Door Medics were the best example of what you should expect from a service company. Irene, the Customer Service rep, made certain that my interaction with Garage Door Medic went smoothly and professionally with obvious concern that my needs would be met. Jeff, my service person, called me about 30 minutes earlier to let me know his arrival time. He arrived right on time. He quickly diagnosed the issue, made the appropriate adjustments and the doors were quickly back in operation. In my mind, Jeff and Irene represent exactly the type of high-quality company that should be in Angie's List and I give them my highest recommendation.

It went very well. They completed the work in about 3 hours. They were super friendly. I did have an issue later that day and one of the guys was nice enough to give me his cell phone and he talked me through it.

Jeff of Garage Door Medics came out and provided an estimate for repairs. Turns out the type of repair was under warranty, so I contacted the original installer and was not charged by Garage Door Medics.

It worked really well. The big deal was for $99. Then I spent an additional $85 to put in a keyless entry pad into the garage. So I paid a little more than the big deal and got more. They did a really good job.

I had contacted this contractor because I had used them before for a garage door opener. This time, I sent an e-mail via their web site. Mark Christopher answered me fairly soon - it was the weekend. He did get back to me with an estimate of the cost of the type of door we wanted to replace. We did not use this contractor because his price was about $300 higher than 3 other contractors and $100 - $200 higher than 3 others.

It turned out really well. They meet my expectations and I'm very happy with that.

They arrived on time and were courteous. They completed the upgrades and repairs quickly and left the area clean. I was happy with the service.

I could not program the remote in my car, a Home Lite, and lost to control of my other remotes in the process. I called Garage Door Medics and clearly stated that I need the remotes programed. I agreed to pay $99, During the initial call he was very persistant on selling me a "tune up." I responded stating that he comes out to program the remote only or I'll call someone else. Leo showed up on time for the "tune up" but I explained I only want the remotes programed. In short order the remotes were programmed then he said that the door needed a tune up. He quickly got on a ladder and said that I needed ball bearings, new springs and something else for about $400. I asked him to leave. He did the job but definitely bait and switch.

My garage door would not go down more than 1/4 of the way and was stuck. I noticed a broken cable on one side of the door. I called GD Medics because of an ad in the recent edition of Angies List magazine. They assured me that they would arrive between 1 and 4 PM that day. The technician called me ahead of time and arrived when he said he would. The tech, John Chavez, analyzed the problem within a few minutes and gave me an estimate that he eventually honored. The broken cable was only a symptom of the problem. He had the repair parts on his truck and did an outstanding job with the repair. The door works better than it has in years. I would recommend this outfit to my friends.

Went well, but ...suppose to come on a Friday, waited all day and me making 2 phone calls, they finally came out on Saturday and still late.
