Garage Door Medics

We were quite please with the professionalism, knowledge and customer service we got from Technician, John Chavez. He replaced our broken garage door spring (and of course the one on the opposite side as well) so that the door now works properly. He also shared knowledge and tips for maintenance of our garage door opener to keep it in good repair on our own.

Great job. He came on time, very professional, explained what he had to do and what needs to be done to maintain it in the future.

They did a good job and I would use them again in the future.

All went exactly as planned. Service person called 20-30 minutes in advance to alert on way. Arrived and di the job in about an hour.

The service was performed by Dion, who was extremely efficient and the most polite young man I have met in a long time. Loved him!

The garage would not open or close. Brent Bassett found the problem right away and told me that the motor was still good despite its old age. He really knows what he is doing. My appointment was between 8 A.M. to 12 Noon. Brent called me around 8 A.M. to let me know that he was on his way to our house and would be here in 20 minutes. I was so impressed with his punctuality and professionalism. I didn't have to wait a long time and he didn't show up 10 minutes before Noon, like others. I really appreciated that. I wish they were all like him.

I'm appreciative that they ultimately did the right thing but didn't like to have to get into a verbal tug of war to get it done. Didn't appreciate the stress

Garage Door Medics scheduled a convenient appointment time, with short notice, and Pedro arrived promptly and ready to help. Pedro assessed the problem, provided a detailed explanation and dealt with all of my first-timer questions. He applied the Angie's List coupon and provided competitive pricing for the replacement of the springs and end bearing plates. Pedro also demonstrated preventive maintenance and balance checks for continued good operation. I will definitely use Garage Door Medics when needed!

I used this company before in the past and did not have a good experience with them. I contacted the company after I purchased the Big Deal the 2nd time and they sent someone out that I had not used before. The new employee came out and he was able to help me with what I needed. He was honest. He took care of what I needed and did not try to sell me anything either.

Making an appointment was very easy. Alex called about 15 minutes before he was to arrive. He gave me a quick estimate and Angie's list discount. He replaced the springs quickly. I had lots of questions which he answered while he worked.

Robert came out to perform Angie's List special of tune up and balance. I needed him because the door wouldn't close without holding down the button. He diagnosed a circuit board, and ordered replacement. Two days later he came and replaced. He is very professional, polite and helpful.

The price he charged us was reasonable and the door operated better than ever once he was finished. We will call this company in the future and refer them to our friends.

Technician Gene was very professional and did an outstanding job - door works better than new.

They arrived on time, assessed the problem, explained what needed to be done and the cost involved, and finished the work then and there. Made some adjustments on the other door free of charge. We are well pleased with their performance.

It went well and it was easy. I had a good experience with them because my garage door worked well for quite a while after the service.

There was one employee who came out and it took him over an hour. He did the roller replacement for me. Aside from the deal, I asked him also to install a spring and weather stripped too. In addition to the Big Deal, I paid an extra $200.00. He was very efficient and honest. He pointed out the things that needed to be replaced and then there were things that he inspection and mentioned that they were in good shape. He also pointed out things with how to keep my garage door working well for the future.

I purchased the coupon for a garage door tune-up. The technician assessed the garage door and opener, according to his checklist. We had had some difficulty with the opener--while the door was closing, the opener had occasionally reversed and re-opened the door for no apparent reason. The technician identified that the rollers on the door were wearing out which was the reason for the excessive noise and the cable was beginning to fray on one side. The technician recommended replacing the rollers and the cable. The opener was 20 years old and after hearing the technicians assessment, I decided to replace the opener The work was done professionally and all seemed to work well. The next day, I noted that the garage door was not quite closed on the bottom gasket The technician returned and made another adjustment to correct the problem

When the repairman came to my house he asked if I had any coupons. I said no but would pull it off their website. The repairman said not to worry about it because he carries coupons for those that don't have them (I should of checked myself). I paid $319 for a spring that their website said was $149. I was also charged $69 for the trip charge. I think they should say something about that charge when you make the appointment. I honestly wouldn't of used this company had I known that. I take full responsibility for not doing my homework when it came to this repair. I thought my cable broke, not the spring. But not knowing is no excuse. My final bill came to $577. Had I known now what I should of known then, I would of skipped the tune-up and just had the spring replaced. So what was supposed to be a cable repair job became a spring repair job which turned into the following: SPRING $319 TUNE-UP $70 X 2= $140 TRIP CHARGE $69 LABOR $99-$50 (DISCOUNT) =$49.99 TOTAL $577 As knowledgeable and well mannered as the repairman was......I will look elsewhere when I'm ready to replace my garage doors or need any repairs.

I got the $49 deal for the garage door tune up and let Garage Door Medics know I was having some issues with it opening and closing. Joel came out during the scheduled window of times and unfortunately I didn't have my phone on me and didn't realize he was there. I called the company back to rescheduled and they were able to have Joel come back a few hours later the same day. Despite the inconvenience, Joel was extremely friendly and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the garage door and gave a thorough explanation of what needed to be done and why. He gave a us a quote that sounded reasonable, and applied the online deal to the labor for the job. He had the parts needed in his truck and was able to perform the job right then and there. Now my garage door works better than it ever has. I was very pleased with the level of service Garage Door Medics offered and will use them again if anything else happens to my garage door!

My garage door failed. I made an appointment with GDMedics to come and access the situation. They offered to come out the same day but I declined because of work. Jacob Hicks arrived and presented several options of repairing the existing garage door or replacing it. I chose to replace it because the old garage door was very old and a new one would add aesthetically to the home.

They were very professional. They answered my questions and were very helpful.

Leonardo from GD Medic called beforehand to let us know he was arriving and then arrived when he said he would. He was helpful, straightforward and knowledgeable. He was also pleasant to have around. Best of all, he fixed the problem with the garage door. We are pleased and we recommend his service. The office receptionist was also helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Jacob solved the problem and then went above and beyond by providing ways to prevent future problems from occurring from a maintenance stand point as well as a safety stand point. He explained things thoroughly. On his way out, he asked if there was anything else he could help with. I told him that I wish I knew how to program my garage door opener to my car. He took it upon himself to do that in BOTH of my vehicles! I have had my car for 6 years and have never been able to figure it out and Jacob came in and was able to program my Nissan and my Tahoe in a matter of less than five minutes! He did not have to do that but was kind enough to do it!

My experience turned out great and I really really liked them! Scheduling was very easy. The technician was very nice and they alerted me I may need a new garage door port for the future. My experience was A+

Called on Sunday requesting normal service during the week, they called back and scheduled for today. Arrived within the window, changed out the broken spring. Excellent service. Caught a special for replacement of both springs. Great Service by Gene!!
