Garage Door Medics

The service rep, Brent, checked all workings of the garage door, and made any adjustments needed. I had the 2 door springs replaced. The door is working so much smoother than before. I was very happy with the work, and I would highly recommend Garage Door Medics. They are an "A" in my book!

We initially had an appointment on Monday (which I made the day before), but the tech. was unable to do anything because we needed our concrete slab complete (Tuesday). I contacted them again Tuesday evening for Wednesday & they were able to come! Preston performed all the tune-up requirements & had to do additional adjustments because of the crookedness of our garage that changed with the new slab. He also recommended keeping an eye on our rollers & cables, as they are showing minor wear. He was very courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable!

Door was hanging up when opened and closed. Avi cleaned, lubricated, adjusted the force, and the door now works fine. Thanks!

the technician arrived on time and spent a good amount of time explaining their product. He did a clean job in intalling a new pair of springs and also the control unit. the only complain I have is that before installing the opener he did not check if it is compatible with my existing keypad entry system so after installation he realized it cannot be reprogrammed and as a result I need to buy a new kaypad (at 80$) despite the fact that there's nothing wrong with my current keypad entry system. Had I known this before I would have bought a compatible brand instead of going with the only brand (liftmaster) they sell. I will take one star off for this.

Managed to get an appointment the same day I called. Tech showed up earlier than expected, but resolved my issue quickly and explained how to avoid it in the future. I would definitely call this company again.

Our door broke on a Saturday and we were pleased to receive prompt service within a couple of hours of our call. Our technician, John K., was very pleasant and knowledgeable . He explained the problems and plan for repairs clearly. The work itself went smoothly and efficiently. We were relieved to have the door back in working condition much sooner than we anticipated and with much less hassle. I would recommend this company to others needing such services.

Alex was great! Arrived on time, respectful and courteous, explained the work that needed to be done and what my options were as well as the warranty. Got the work done quickly and checked to see if I had any questions, great experience and I would call them back if I needed any help!

Gene did a great job. He did not leave until everything was in working order. Now the door is like new. We called in the morning and got a window of noon to 4 PM. Gene arrived at 2.30PM he called and announced his arrival. All went smoothly and we are happy with Gene and his company. HDP

I believe they replaced the rollers and tuned the door up in general. Previously, the door made a banging noise when it would raise but now it doesn't. Their service made a big difference.The reason for the D and C is the seeming lack of communication between the schedulers and the tech. We live 45 minutes from the property at issue and we communicated this to the schedulers. They repeatedly assured us we would be given a call 60 minutes before the tech planned to arrive so no one would be waiting around on either end. We got a call from the tech saying "where are you?" It was frustrating because he was clearly irritated. I explained that his company made the mistake. In the end, it had no impact on the actual service and the tech did a great job but that initial issue was frustrating and made us uncomfortable.

It went great! The service tech was knowledgeable and courteous, He programmed the box so that my wife's car's wireless remote can now work without having to use clip-on remote. He explained all the safety features of the door. He was a true professional!

That was good. He replaced the bearings for a single garage door for a 2-car garage.

Very good appt. with the service tech, Jacob. Very knowledgeable and willing to give me plenty of tips and advice on what to look for in the function and life of my garage door. He genuinely seemed interested in teaching me about the operation of my garage door, how to keep it in tip top shape and what to look for when it starts to age. He did not try to upsell me, yet was plenty knowledgeable in giving me options for questions I had about improvements for my door, it's operation and insulation. This appt. was well worth the $39 Angie's List big deal for the appt of my garage door tune up! I would not hesitate to use Garage Door Medics again or recommend them to friends and family. I would particularly recommend Jacob. The only negative about the appt. was the timing. Jacob was a couple hours later than I expected, but I assume it was due to his prior appt. taking longer than expected. However, he did apologize for the lateness when he called for his pre-arrival call. During the appt. I could tell he was working as quickly and efficiently as possible, but he made sure all my questions were answered, made sure to check all points of my garage door and never made me feel like he was rushing through the appt.

Garage Door Medics came out to do a door tuneup and inspection. They said all i needed was a spring adjustment and did that as part of the tune up. Adam Booton with Garage Door Medics did an excellent job. He carefully inspected my door and tracks and said everything looked great and all i needed was the spring adjustment. He explained a few things to me which was great to know. Warning : I had another company out a week earlier ( not an Angies List Company ) and they said i needed my tracks aligned and wanted $100 for that. I declined that saying NO i will get an estimate from someone else. I learned that there are scam artists out there and Garage Door Medics is an honest company that will not scam you . I mentioned nothing to Garage Door Medics about my " scam artist" experience with the other company. I feel i can trust Garage Door Medics and their prices seem fair. This is the second time in a year that Garage Door Medics have worked on my door and i am very pleased. I also learned that some other lists out there do not screen their companies like Angies list. AND some other lists do not have the review system Angies list has to review a companies work. I am now committed to using Angies list for my source for help.

my garage door cable came off the roller on a saturday. Most garage door repair companies were closed on saturdays. I called around 1:00 PM and they said that a repairman would be out by 4:00 pm. Sure enough, the repairman called on his way over to tell us that he would arrive in 15 min. The repairman (Robert) checked out the door and rollers and got to work quickly and had our door back working within 30 min. He also checked out the gears and motor to make sure everything was working. The price was not too bad for coming out on a saturday in 100 degree weather!!!

We called and got the appointment the 2nd day, which was great! The gentleman that came was courteous and professional, and punctual. He called us before he came. He answered all our questions, and fixed the spring fast and perfect, and he even spent extra time to readjust our frames for free. This is the first service that we got from Angie's list, and we are blown away by the service quality that we received.

I originally rated the service all A's, but I need to write an update. We had a broken spring, but Ryan suggested a bunch of other maintenance updates, which obviously cost more. Maybe I fell for the sales pitch, but I went with the whole system update. A couple days after our service, the kids started tracking grease in the house, and it turned out that grease was dripping from the drive mechanism after the repair. Kind of a pain to clean that up. About three weeks from the service, we started to have problems with the door, in that something was banging as the door went up. I meant to call, but it was still working and it kept slipping my mind. About four weeks out, the door stopped working altogether. Called the company, they were very nice on the phone, but they couldn't fix the door the same day, so we had to just leave the door not working. The door would not close at all, and we couldn't leave it open, so my husband checked out some videos on line and saw what to do. Through this inspection, he also noticed several problems with the original installation. The new service guy came out on Sunday, I'm glad they would send someone out on Sunday, because its hard to not have access to the garage. Avi, the new technician said that we were one day over on the warranty, but they would still fix it. I would feel nervous about their warranty since the problems cropped up just when the installation warranty expired, given that even the new technician said there were errors in installation. The thing that really bothers me is that originally, we only had a broken spring, but the issues that caused the failures one month out were items that we didn't even need fixed in the first place.

They came out and did a lubrication which I could have done myself. They gave estimate repair bill for 347.00 . I made appt for Aug 25 but when my wife and I talked about it 347.00 seemed like a really large amount. We decided if the garage door was that bad, we would apply it towards a new garage door. They stated we had a choice for a Quiet-Roller replacement or Keyless Entry pad, but we were then told that instead we would get a 60.00 credit and somehow it was applied towards the 347.00. We cancelled appointment a few days later since all he did was lubricate the garage door and asked for the 60.00 credit and they told me I would get the refund via pay pal or the mail. I waited for a month and called them again and was told the same thing, i stil lnever receive refund. I waited another month and called and was told someone would return my call. No one has returned my call and I have yet to receive my refund.

The company was very responsive - I called about 10:00 AM on a Sunday morning and they had someone at my house by 12:30. The technician was very knowledgeable and extremely competent. He had the door working perfectly in about 90 minutes - including the time he spent politely answering all my many questions. All in all, it was a first-rate experience.

I was very pleased with the man that did the job. He lubricated the appropriate fittings, installed the sturdier part. He was well dressed for the job, spoke very professionally , and was on time.

I had them out to do a tune-up and they also installed a few more parts. The door has held up fine since they came out to do the work. It's definitely quietly and smoother. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions, and they were very professional. They actually did a minor adjustment on a 2nd door without a charge!
