This review is overdue from February , we got initial quote from Mark in January but because the house was under remodeling we could not get installation done till late January / beginning February . Prices from garage door medic is competitive , we had a quote from mighty garage door as well ( we chose medic only because customer service is so much better ) . Site visits for quotation was prompt , Mark was friendly and efficient in responding to our queries . We initially set the installation for end of January but when Pedro came to install , our construction guys had too many things in the garage for the installation to take place . We felt so bad for wasted Pedro and Mark 's time . Mark was pretty nice about the incident and helped rescheduled us for a later date . On installation , Pedro was on the dot at our appointment time and after installation provided helpful tips on taking care of the door . We appreciate the help and guide on this . Also , for the installation we needed a storage bar removed . Mighty garage door wanted 150 for the service but garage doors medic did it for free no questions asked . For the service they provided , I would not have minded paying slightly more for them .

Technician was helpful, prompt and professional. He knew exactly what to do and explained the issue very well. Door works perfectly now.

They had to add a piece to the bottom and they had a hard time fixing the door, my husband had to help them, but they did get it done.

He did it by the book and I got talked into buying some other things but other than that it went fine.

It was excellent. They arrived exactly on time. Work was completed in about an hour. The door works with no problem at all. A+ for sense of urgency and customer satisfaction. Ryan J was the technician. Please count this on review buzz as I was not able to provide a review there.

Tom did everything he was supposed to. There was no up selling and he knew his business. He did everything right without me asking. I highly recommend this company. There's so many crooks out there, it's nice to find an honest one...

Sounded really good on paper; 21 point inspection. Don't really think that happened. Tried to up sell me on services I didn't feel like I really needed.

Caleb arrived within an hour of my calling the company. He saw right away that the spring was broken, made his recommendation (wasn't pushy about it) and explained why. After he changed the spring, he gave my door a complete inspection, lubricated it, re-adjusted the setting of sensors if something got in the way of the door (he adjusted them so the door only had to touch an object lightly and then it would go up - he demonstrated by letting the door "hit" his shoulder) and gave me new batteries for my remotes - all for free. He also changed the light bulbs in the motor housing for me! He was very professional, very knowledgeable and he explained all the features of my garage door and showed me how to adjust the door sensors should they ever become out of alignment (so I won't have to pay him to come out to adjust them). It was great to have such a friendly expert who was so enthusiastic about his job come out to work on my garage door.

The service was great. They came out quickly after I purchased the Big Deal; it was like within two days. There were no additional charges to the $39 Big Deal. My experience was overall good. They were not really pushing any kind of up-sell. I felt like they just gave me a good honest advice on the garage door that it might need something. They said in the future that I might need a new motor, but they said it had some more life on it which was good. The pricing seemed good too.

Service individual was Sam Pastella III and he was excellent in all regards.

Sam was great - very polite, punctual and friendly. I think I may have purchased this service before I really needed to, however. My garage door is about 3 years old. It had come off the roller track twice, however. If this doesn't happen again it will be worth the money. It is not really noticeably quieter to me. I gave them an A for now solely on Sam's service. Time will tell if it was worth it.

I was very pleased with the repairman, Sam Pastella. He replaced the motor and brace and performed a tuneup on my door. The opener had started making an awful noise so I was hoping the tuneup would take care of it. But after the tuneup which included a lube and new rollers the noise was still there. The noise was coming from the motor. Sam told me the motor couldn't be opened up to repair. He told me the price of a replacement ($499) but said if I could live with the noise I could avoid a replacement until it stopped working . I appreciated that he didn't try to push me into spending the money, however, I chose to have the motor replaced. The new one is so quiet it's practically silent. Sam showed me how to operated the touch pad and programmed my car remote. He was the best!

It went great. The mechanic was on time, very polite, and did a great job. He recommended some additional services but he was not pushy.

Excellent service. I was called as promised. Service man arrived promptly within the agreed service time. Very courteous. Explained what he needed to do and why. Provided us with easy maintenance tips. Cleaned up work area after job was completed.

It was excellent. He was a young man who obviously knew his way around garage doors. He was very patient and probably spent at least an hour here. I explained the problems I was having, and he did a great job correcting the issues. He really impressed me with his knowledge and experience, and I did not feel he was telling me more than necessary.

Service person was prompt, extremely courteous and very friendly. He worked efficiently to perform the work requested.

Recently, our garage door was damaged to the point that it could not be opened. One of our cars was trapped inside the garage and I needed to be able to get it out quickly. After dealing with the company I first called, which tried to shake me down for $1,850 to replace the door, I checked Angie's List and called Garage Door Medics. They were very pleasant and responsive, gave me a quote over the phone (!!), and sent out their tech, Caleb, within a few hours. Caleb could not have been more helpful or friendly. He took some measurements, explained the options and costs, and I selected an insulated door with a window panel on top. Caleb called in the order, went to lunch, and was back with the door and materials by 2:00 p.m. He quickly freed the old door so that I could get my car out, then disassembled the door and its parts. In addition to the door, he put in all new hardware (we kept our existing motor and the rail it operates) and installed the new door in a few hours. He was very meticulous and organized in his work and made sure that the entire area was swept and clean when he finished up. He took away the old door and parts for disposal so no clean up needed to be done on our part. The new door was installed and working the same day and is much quieter and more solidly installed than the original door. And it cost $600 less than the first installer quoted me. There are cheaper garage-door installers around but you get what you pay for. Given the quality of both the service and the product I received from Garage Door Medic, I'd call on them again in a heartbeat - and I'd ask personally for Caleb to do the work.

The service went very well. They were very responsive and easy to schedule with. One technician came out and completed the work in about an hour to an hour and a half. He was competent and an efficient worker.

Arrived within the scheduled time. Very professional. Explained all the details and didn't pressure me to have additional items fixed (although I knew the garage door was very old and needed several parts). I would definitely hire again, but hopefully I won't have to since my garage door is like new!

Called them at ~11:30am Sunday for a repair of a collapsed garage door. We got a window from 2:00 to 6:00pm. The technitian arrived at 2:30 and took about two hours to replace a hinge, all the rollers and the motor (I wanted to replace it because it was a very old and noisy motor). The work went well, I felt it was pricy but everything was properly done, and the garage door works very smoothly.

Installer did a great job, explained in detail what I needed, the original garage door opener had never been serviced and was 25+ years old so I felt a new one was necessary. No hard sell, he told me the old one would continue to work but he could not guarantee for how long.

Tech was on time. Called 30 minutes prior. Seemed knowledgeable. Asked questions. Shared knowledge which was informative and appreciated. Thanks!

It was fine. The guy was pretty personable. He did explain everything as he went along.

It turned out very well. They sent a very knowledgeable technician. He was a great guy. He did the work promptly. I wasn't charged any additional beyond the big deal. So, I was very pleased with it.
