The torsion spring broke on Sunday morning after 13 yrs of flawless service. While I am an DIY person, this was the job which I happily let someone else to do. Most of the garage door repair companies are closed on Sunday, but Garage Door Medics were not. They scheduled me on the same day and I got courtesy call 1/2 h before technician, Caleb, showed up. Caleb was very professional and courteous. He clearly knew what he was doing. He had parts on hand and he made repairs very quickly and lubed and tuned up the door opened as well. I would definitely use their services again if need be.

The technician, Leonardo Vazquesz, was prompt and very professional. He performed the service quickly and efficiently. When I told him that our garage door seemed to work harder than our son's, he said it was most likely because the original installer (not this company) had only used two springs, where most companies would have installed 4 springs. I said to go ahead and do it, and the garage door did work better. I was please that we had used Garage Door Medics and would use them again and recommend them to others.

Service was great but contractor did not seem to be aware of the Angie's list voucher/deal so I was unable to use it towards repairs.

Good, thought pricing was higher than normal for bearings but everything works well and no additional problems...

The service man tried to get me to replace the spring even though it was only 3 years old. WHen I showed him the proof of age, he finally agreed to tighten it instead.

Had to prompt them for an appointment. I Suspect someone negleceted to check their eMail on Monday morning. However , after a F* call Tuesday things went smoothly. Gene Arnell was the service rep assigned to us. Very pleasant, knowledgable, worked quickly and left the work area clean. I recommend asking for him. I never fail to be astounded at the prices charged for service calls today. Was surprised at the expense, but suspect it is similar throughout the industry. When he left, I felt confident that the work had been done correctly and that I had not been mislead or that anyone had taken advantage of us.

We paid for the premium tune up which was $49. They give you 3 options of tune ups so we went with the mid-range one. Response from my purchase to scheduling was quick and professional. Very easy to work with. They were able to schedule me on one of the 3 days I gave them. Prior to their arrival Garage Door Medics sent me an email with the photo of the tech that would be arriving as well as the office scheduler with brief bios on them and contact information and confirmation of our appt. date and time. I thought that was very professional and a nice touch. Especially since nowadays you can't be too careful who's going to show up and "pretend" to be a repairman. Jacob Hicks was the tech who performed our tune up and he was pleasant, friendly, professional and on time if not early! Nice! He was very thorough in checking our doors (which hadn't really had a tune up in 4 years) and he noticed a few things that needed replacement or watching. He explained to me what needed to be replaced in order for our doors to operate better. (We had some issues with the door not coming down sometimes and noisy, etc.) Not only did he explain it to me, he showed me what he was talking about. Didn't "talk down" to me at all. Advised me of what could wait and what should be done now if I wanted to have the work done. Talked to me about the how the doors should operate correctly, etc. After discussing the work I ended up having Jacob replace the spring on our 2 car side and also replace some hinges that were starting to go downhill. He also installed a strut on our 1 car side to support the door in case we ever had to manually open it. He knocked off some $$ on the total bill to do this for us which I was appreciate of since I hadn't planned on any work being done that day. I didn't have to pay labor costs since that was included in the AL Deal. Now our doors are working great and we don't anticipate any problems for a long time to come. Overall I was very pleased with Garage Door Medics and will use them again in the future if needed.

Charged 20.00 ea for 5.00 hinges. Would not call again.

We thought we it could not be fixed .We were told the door was in good shape but needed some new parts. Brent Bassett was very professional. He was also very helpful and knowledgeable. They also had the parts available the same day for instillation. I am so grateful for the service and I will recommend it to any of my neighbors.

John, from Garage Medics informed me that the rollers needed to be replaced, so I agreed to have 10 rollers replaced for $199.00 and he installed the rollers in less than 10 minutes. John the repairman said he had a system and that is why they were installed very quickly. John asked for a $199.00 check, and I issued a check to Garage Door Medics even though he did not have a proper Invoice slip with him. He documented on a piece of paper what he had installed. After John left, I thought I should check online and see if that was the usual charge for other companies to do the same work, as it only took less then 10 minutes to install the rollers. I found that 10 nylon rollers could be purchased for $17.00 to $22.00 for the rollers and he installed the rollers in 10 minutes! I was over charged for this service. I contacted Garage Door Medics by phone and a man stated he would have someone contact me the next day. When I talked to them the next day, I told them another company would install rollers for $89.00. They stated those rollers were steel rollers and nylon are better. . I sent an e-mail to advise them of my concerns. I received a reply by e-mail informing me that is the price they charge for this type of service. I sent another e-mail stating AGAIN that the charge for the Installation of the rollers was an EXCESSIVE CHARGE for installing rollers at my home on May 20, 2015 and I was still waiting for an invoice. I advised them, "You can return my check I wrote for $199.00 and I will send you a check for $50.00, as this is a reasonable amount that I will pay for the installation of the rollers." They replied by email, "I am truly sorry you feel this way. I wish I could do more for you. But this is what we charge for this particular work." I cancelled the check for $199.00( at a cost of $31.00) and told them, "Since I have an agreement with Angie?s list for customer satisfaction I am issuing a WRITTEN complaint for the OVERCHARGING of the INSTALLATION of the rollers." One day later GARAGE DOOR MEDICS had an ad on Angie's List which stated, " GARAGE DOOR TUNE UP AND INSTALLATION OF 10 NYLON ROLLERS FOR $99.00." I am correct in claiming their charge for a GARAGE DOOR TUNE UP AND INSTALLATION OF 10 NYLON ROLLERS FOR A TOTAL PRICE OF $238.00 is OUTRAGEOUS. I am a Senior Citizen and perhaps Garage Door Medics thinks that any extra work they state that has to be completed will be accepted by older people. The charge of $199.99 for the rollers and installation was very unprofessional, outrageous and I feel I was taken advantage of by Garage Door Medics. After requesting an INVOICE , one was finally e-mailed to me and of course I had not signed the invoice. Since I had to cancel the $199.00 check paid to Garage Door Medics, on May 20, 2015, I was willing to pay GARAGE DOOR MEDICS the reasonable sum of $50.00 for the complete installation of the nylon rollers. Since they refused to settle for the $50.00 payment, I am submitting this written complaint to Angie?s list and requesting that Angie's List assist me to settle this problem. Future customers of Angie's List should be made aware of my problem, so that no other Angie's List clients will have to deal with Garage Door Medics. They were great on time finished quickly very professional and had the specific parts needed even though our garage door takes a unique spring.

Don is a great person and very knowledgeable with what he was doing. All I wanted was a tune-up, since I never had one done, but decided to change my springs at the same time since we had the garage door for around 8 years. I could have waited for another 2 -3 years, but since my daughters garage door spring broke on her, I decided to do it early. We learned a great deal from him, since he explained everything he was doing. He told us if we needed him for anything, to just give him a call. The following week, our garage door didn't go up, so I left a message for him early in the morning, and as soon as he got up, he came over and fixed the problem. I wasn't able to finish my review, because I was having problems with my computer. I would definitely use Garage Door Medics again.

Service was fast and efficient

Torsion springs were replaced and both doors serviced, adjusted and lubricated everything including the door openers. The technician was thorough and cleaned up the area, and the hole job only took about an hour.

They did a really nice job they did the tune up for us as well as replaced the rollers on our garage door. Thanks for your service Garage Door Medics you guys are great.

Great! I like them so much that I ended up buying a new garage door opener from them.

The garage door was intermittently opening only part-way. Gene investigated the problem but the problem did not recur while Gene was there . So Gene assessed the door and opener and performed an annual garage door tune-up to take care of any problems.Gene took the time to explain how the door and opener worked

He did a really good job. He explained everything before he did the work. It was a very thorough job. I was really pleased with the job he did. I would use him again and I recommended them to my next door neighbors and they were happy with the job they did.

Although it was a Xmas eve, we had to get the hal-open garage door fixed that day since we were leaving town the next day on a vacation.The mechanic showed up on time, was courteous and explained clearly what needed to be done. I found the pricing a bit too high but was very happy with the service and the work.

It went very well and I am really impressed by the professionalism of the work done.
