Description of Work: They removed designated trees and branches. They trimmed some branches and removed all refuse. They did a good job, but they were overpriced. I was surprised that the owner wasunable to identify most of our common trees. | | COMMENT: East San Diego county was outside their service zone. Although I don't think I was charged more, I did have to wait for a long time to get my estimate and have the work done. I would have normally had the job done in stages, as I couldn't afford the entire amount, but, due to the distance (over an hours commute one way) they would not do that. They did allow me to make payments. Please publish the area serviced when you publish these ads. My $400 was already deducted before I learned I was outside the service area.

Description of Work: I contacted Coastal Tree Service based upon the information in Angie's list. Joseph returned my call and we set an appointment to get an estimate for tree removal. Joseph arrived on time, was pleasant, and gave me an excellent price for removal of 4 trees, an overgrown Juniper shrub, stump grinding and removal of the debris. We were very pleased, and would use Coastal's services in the future.

Description of Work: I thought I was getting the services of a professional arborist. I don't think the guy who trimmed the trees was an arborist. Way too many horizontal and cross over branches were left. Horizontal branches make for weak limbs.

Description of Work: Trimmed my palm tree and bushes around home. Work was adaquately done, but left some branches and trimmings behind. Trimmer was not the same person who waled the grounds for estimate. Felt estimate for total (with coupon) was too high for the work done....looks no different than my old trimmer did, at a smaller price. |Overall, it was an average job.

Description of Work: The performed stump grinding on an old large pine stump. They also bid on the removal of several small cedar trees. They wanted $100/small tree. We ended up removing the trees ourselves. They were prompt, but failed to let us know precisely when they were coming to perform the stump removal. We would have liked to be present. They did thoroughly grind down the stump.

Description of Work: Price was worth it with the coupon. $375 seemed a bit expensive for pruning my one hibiscus which took about one hour. $250 for trimming the trees on my slope seemed very reasonable in comparison. | |Work was done professionally and everything was cleaned up nicely. Solid contractor, but didn't really stand out with something outstanding.

Description of Work: Trimmed 2 small olive trees, 1 large rose bush and a pepper tree. The work they performed was fine. I was not pleased when they cancelled my job on 6/10/14 one hour before they were due to arrive due to additional work requested by the job before mine. And I am not pleased that when I requested a copy of my bill when the work was completed, I was told it would come to my email address. To date I have not received a copy of the work done on June 24th.

Description of Work: Joseph came out, assessed tree needs, had some suggestions, discussed best way to proceed, gave estimate, set up day for work to begin. On the day, he and his team arrived early, went over the project with me again to make sure they were going to do everything we had decided upon during the initial visit. Joseph had a few other suggestions that would improve the health of the trees and the yard over-all. I really appreciated his suggestions and his expertise. They went to work - and worked steady for nearly 6 hours. Did everything perfectly; cleaned up every leaf, branch, twig. Joe was knowledgeable, very personable and friendly, yet professional. His team was also friendly and professional - and expressed thanks for cold water and snacks. Over-all a 5-star company! We were very pleased with everything.

Description of Work: They removed, trimmed a number of mostly Eucalyptus trees, ground the tree stumps etc. and removed all debris other than mountains of mulch from the stump grinding.I now have to hire someone to remove all this since I can't really use it. |

Description of Work: Coastal trimmed and laced out a large ficus tree and removed lower branches from a large pineapple pine. Everything was done efficiently, quickly, and to our complete satisfaction. And it was scheduled only a few days after the initial appointment and bid.
