The work provided to me by Brinks Investigation-Restoration Services Inc. worked out quite well. I was pleased with the feedback. Overall, I was happy with it.

The service was good. They were very informative. It seems to be a good company, and the worker that came out was very honest with us.

Brinks Investigation-Restoration Services Inc. had to correct what another electrician did. I said to him that I didn't know what electricians charge and he convinced me to put down something. Is $300.00 for electrical work a tad excessive? I got a bill for $700.00. He said other people put the instrument panel at 15 amps when it should have been 20. Also, my walk-in tub wasn't working and he got it working by correcting some stuff that the other electricians had done. He was good, but he wiped out my savings. He was polite. He was clean. He cleaned up after himself. He did all the right things. I'm sure I'm paying for a yacht somewhere. They gave me a complimentary overall inspection. I think what they do there is look around to see how much work they can get, so they can live on that yacht with a cook and a butler.

I like their service. They came out immediately and fixed the problem at no cost.

Customer service was terrible. I called on the weekend at the Big Deal voucher number listed and they said this was an "emergency only number" and sounded annoyed at my call. I then called on the weekday and the first operator didn't really know anything about the coupons and transferred me to someone else without saying anything. The next operator sounded annoyed by my call and that I wanted to use one of the Big Deal vouchers. She made it sound like it was a hassle and the redemption times were restrictive. Also I bought two of these, one for a rental property and the other for my primary home. She said I had to use both in one visit, but I told her I bought them at the same time on Angie's list in one transaction. She said no you have to buy them individually and also that my address was wrong in the voucher. Angie's list never said I had to buy separately and also it never gave me a chance to update my address. I'm sure the work might be good by the company, but getting past customer service is very unprofessional. I am requesting a refund of the vouchers without any work being done.

It was a pleasant experience. This was the first time I used an Angie List Coupon and it worked just the way it was suppose to. Thank you Angie.

The plumber, Roger, was amazing! I had backed up sewer pipe leaking horribly off my patio. He hand dug up a 4 X 4 square foot section (it actually turned out to be larger) area in hard pan/clay soil near the back fence, finding that the previous owners had apparently replaced all of the original old cast iron pipe connecting to the water main except the last 5 feet, which where completely corroded/rusted and fell apart when exposed. He neatly replaced that pipe to the City connection, using P-gravel under and around the pipe to keep it level then hand backed filled with the dirt, inspecting again for leak and testing with water pressure. He also cleaned up the terrible mess from the leak, which was not part of his job. There haven't been any other problems or backing up, and there is a one year warranty on workmanship, 30 days warranty on drain blockage from mainline c/o to street.

Very dishonest, thought I was stupid and thought I didn't know what they were doing. Another poorly researched company on Angie's list!!!!!!!!

The technician arrived on time to do the inspection. After his inspection he advised me of some recommendations. I then ask him if he could install a new faucet for me. Do to the fact that I had just had a knee replacement the month prior, there was no way I would be able to get under the sink area. He agreed to do the job for me and he also did a little bit more by securing the sink to the wall, which he didn't have to do. I was truly impress with his service and the quality of work that was perform... Thanks a lot Jim I really appreciated what you did for me...

He arrived late (costing me extra time off work), and after looking at the minor repairs, told us the water pressure regulator needed to be replaced ($880). It took him 3-4 hours to install this part, and then gave us the bad news that the brand-new regulator was leaking--he would have to come back and install a new one on Monday. He was several hours late when he came the next Monday (more $$ time off work for me). Once the RPR was finally replaced after several hours, I had to remind him about the original repairs that he was here for, and also had to remind him about the complete home inspection that I'd purchased. He did the minor repairs and the home inspection (imo) super quickly and cursorily. I feel like the work took too long, and cost me twice the time off work due to their defective part, for which I received no discount or consideration. The "complete home plumbing inspection" took a matter of minutes. He was a very nice man, but I won't be using them again. Also, I tried to call them out today (saturday) for an emergency leak coming from the attic. The woman on the phone said she didn't think the person on call could help me, since the supply place they use closes at noon. I called another plumber out--great experience--see Beltran Plumbing!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. We would not recommend them and we would not use them again. The water was not going down in one sink and he said he would have to take it all apart and he gave me a horrendous number. I was able to fix it myself for about $5. He also said that something needed to be replaced when he drained the water heater and it did not. He was pushing selling me additional things. That would not be a problem if what he said made sense and they were truly needed. I was quoted a price of $200 and he quoted me a price between $5-600. I did have the work done and it actually cost less than $200.

My interaction with them was fine. They did not do the camera thing, but, only because he didn't feel it was necessary. I considered having some other work done and talked to him about it, but he didn't feel that it was necessary at this time. I think that's exceptional because, usually, they want to do more. My experience was excellent as the gentleman was very neat and well-spoken. He was very nice, got right to his work, did it, and then we discussed the possibility of having some work done on a toilet and he said that I would be better off getting a new toilet because of the work that is involved in removing the mechanism. I was very pleased with him. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again in future and I've been in this house a long time and I've spent a lot of money on the plumbing over the years.

I had Brinks come to the house for stopped up plumbing, in October. They came out, snaked the drain and took video of the pipes. The estimate and charge for that was $325. They also charged $12.95 fee they had not told me about when they gave me the estimate on the phone. They told me they would call back with an estimate for full repairs within 48 hours. After four days and numerous calls to Brinks for the estimate, someone came out and gave me the estimate. On April 12, 2013, I called Brinks again to get an estimate for them to snake the same pipes as before. The receptionist's tone was condescending and dismissive when stated "We don't do estimates on the phone". I explained the work had already been estimated and done in the past and I just wanted to get the cost for just the drain snaking. She repeated her statement and then told me if I wanted an estimate, I would have to pay $85 for someone to come out. I called another plumber who gave me a free estmate, who did the work and provided 30 day guarantee.

When the technician came out, he parked in front of the house for an hour and a half reorganizing his materials in the truck. I went out and asked him if he was ready to do the job, and he said that he was. They did end up clearing out the pipe so that the water flows. I have done the work before myself and I used a wider reamer. The one he used was smaller, and then was not able to fit the camera in the opening in order to get the video that we asked for. Then they gave me a bid on replacing the pipe, but I hadn’t seen the video so I wasn’t sure that that was necessary. Later in the mail I received another bid that didn’t match the price I was given. He was very neat and cleaned up well, and the drain is open and the expense was low, so I was not upset about the work. However, I feel that I should have gotten the video that I was promised, and the communication problems we had would probably prevent me from calling them again.

Plumber was on time, friendly, and professional. I thought I had a simple clog, but it turned out I needed all new pipes underneath the kitchen sink. He also liked my dogs and my kids - which is always a plus. :)

I noticed leaking behind my refrigerator and found Brinks on Angie's list. They were nice and friendly on the phone, and promptly sent someone out that afternoon. The repairman was very polite, professional and fixed the problem to my satisfaction.

I contacted Brinks by email right after purchasing the Angie's list coupon and got a phone call first thing the next day. We were able to set-up the service appointment within minutes. On the day of the appointment, we got a call from both the company and the repairman to confirm time of service. He arrived on time, was very professional, did the work and cleaned up after. During that week, we received a card from them thanking us for choosing their company. I'm sure some companies do that too but still a nice gesture worth mentioning. Overall, we are very impressed with Brinks and will definitely use them again.

My home is very old and I have issues with the shower drain every few months despite using every chemical cleaner and snaking it and finding nothing. My snake finally broke and when I saw the coupon with Brinks I decided to go for it. My initial appointment had to be cancelled due to the plumber being stuck at a previous job. It wasn't a huge deal, but I did have to leave work early, so that time was lost. In exchange they offered to have him come first thing in the morning the next day (Saturday). Roger was prompt and courteous the day of service. He asked me a few questions about the house and the problem and got going right away. He wasn't able to do the camera inspection because of the type of drain I have or something though. He stayed after finishing to explain a few things I could do to help keep the drain clear without needing a plumber. That was several months ago and I haven't had any issues at all. Overall it was a great experience and I will likely use them again.

Although it took over two months to complete, the overall job was finally completed satisfactorily. I did have to contact the office manager regarding reimbursement of charges that the technician had indicated would be refunded to me because of delay in project completion and incorrect diagnosis of initial problem. I was disappointed in the lack of communication provided by the initial technician on the three different occasions we had agreed to have someone home and he did not arrive. The office manager was very apologetic and did everything she could to rectify the situation. Additionally, although I had purchased a Brinks Services Agreement, I will not be utilizing their services for any of my future plumbing needs.

The service was okay. They were unable to do the inspection on the drain we needed the work done, so the deal did not really work for me.

I wasn't very satisfied. I felt the service wasn't that valuable to be.

Jim was quick to respond to the initial call, times and dates were worked out to suit everyone. The same goes for the 3 or 4 other times we have need Jim to respond.

Wow! What a difference a receptionist makes! I wrote a poor review for this company months ago because the former receptionist would not honor a "Big Deal" I purchased. Mr. Brinks called me himself, a few months later, and said he was so sorry, and offered a free drain cleaning at a future date. That date was today. Our master shower clogged without warning. In addition, one of the sinks in the master would cause water to come up through the shower when the water was turned on. I called Brinks and the receptionist, Teresa, was as nice as one could ever imagine. It was about 8:30 and she said she could have a technician over in about one and a half hours. Roger called ahead of time, arrived early, was extremely courteous and professional and cleaned the drain within 30 minutes. He cleaned up after the work was done. All went seemlessly and I would use them again in a heartbeat!.

Two days ago (on Sunday), two bad things happened: I came down with very contagious influenza and pneumonia in my lungs, AND suddenly my main shower drain was completely clogged--I had standing water!--even though each of us religiously uses a hair catcher strainer during every shower. Most people might not be too worried about a clogged drain, but 3 years ago a clogged sewer line caused sewage to flow into 3 rooms of our home! It was a huge nightmare for a few months! So understandably, I was very worried..and very sick. Sunday night I wrote a frantic email to the awesome Brinks Office Manager, Teresa Rogers, and asked if she could arrange for a plumber to come as soon as possible--one willing to come into my home despite the fact I'm contagious (I had masks and gloves available). Teresa wrote back AND phoned me first thing Monday morning, and reassured me that they would be happy to help me. Brinks plumber, Roger, came today and quickly/efficiently pulled all the debri from deep in the drain. Our dear friend, a well trained handyman, had come over Sunday night with a long manual "snake," and was not able to extract any debris--even though he went 6 to 8 feet deep into the drain. Roger from Brinks, with his motorized equipment tugged and tugged until the debri finally came free! He said it was kind of like reeling in a fish! I am SO relieved and now able to focus on my medical recovery, thanks to Brinks! (And specifically, Teresa & Roger) And here's a bonus: As an Angie's List member I was able to buy their Brinks coupon for cleaning one drain for $75--a very discounted price from any plumber's usual fees! Under the circumstances, today I would have paid above the normal fee, so instead I gave Roger a big tip. I will definitely call Brinks for any of my future plumbing needs!
