Already over the phone the preliminary estimate for replacing the water main was absurdly expensive, $100/ linear foot (think 50-80 linear feet, when my neighbors that had to make the exact same repair have paid about $2K for the same work). Since I needed water in the house I asked Black Mountain if they would patch it up for now and give me time to consider their bid and others. Robert sent Nick, who appeared within the time window that Rob had promised. Nick is very professional and well mannered. He explained the options and pricing and had me sign a work order in which I agreed to the cost before he started work. He explained that to do this he needed a part that Robert had to bring. He did as much as he could (quickly, in less than 30 min) and then had to wait for Robert to bring the piece.... 3 hrs -- Robert did some other job(s) in the interim (!). Rob was also very well mannered and friendly. All in all it went well, water is running again and I have time to get BM's and others' bids on the bigger job before moving forward with that. I only wished things had proceeded more efficiently. By the way, they are expensive: had I had BM refill the 1ft x 1ft ditch they excavated they would have charged me an additional $139 (work that I completed in less than 5 min once they left); to their credit they did give me the option, but not to their credit: I had to insist on the option. Overall summary: Expensive, but good, solid, professional work.

They provided a quote which was slap dash and very over priced. I eventually did the work myself for approximately 10% of their quoted price. I say the quote was slap dash in that it indicated a toilet needed to be completely replaced (which was unnecessary) and that the plumbing for a shower would likely need to be replaced (Replacement of a worn out shower head was ultimately all that was needed.). The quote mis-counted the number of sink supply lines that were old and needed replacement. About the only useful thing BMP did was to point out obvious areas where attention was needed. It was quite aggravating to be quoted $3000 (parts and labor) for what ultimately cost me approximately $300 in parts. I would not recommend BMP for any plumbing work.

The plumber was fabulous. He confirmed there wasn't a leak and fixed the wobbly toilet. The plumber was such a nice person. He treated me with respect. He explained the issues, recommended a solution, and answered all my questions as if I were a family member or friend. I highly recommend Black Mountain Plumbing and will use them again.

Zion was OUTSTANDING!! Very polite, kind and friendly. He explained exactly what he was going to do and how long it would take. He educated me on a few items and did an excellent job on the repair. I would highly recommend Zion! This was our first time calling this company and they showed up the same day within the same hour of us calling and this was not an emergency repair! The price was pretty expensive since it was double-time. Contacting them was fine. It was the day after Christmas. It took them about an hour and a half. They are reliable and they get the work done. They came on time.

We have a yearly maintenance. They come out once a year. They change the filter and they do their thing. We bought a brand new furnace about 2 years ago and they installed it for us. When we bought the furnace we bought a maintenance package. They're all very good. The technicians that come out are all pretty knowledgeable. We have used them for various things, not just for furnace but also plumbing. We have always been pleased. On price they all seem to be a bit on the high side.

It went fine. They cleaned up pretty well after they were done.

Provided us with a competitive quote. Was the first company to advise us on asbestos/lead testing of our 1950s home prior to cutting into the walls. After our house received a clean bill of health, they were able to move the outdoor faucet line from one side of the house to another about 40 feet away and seal up the original line.

Adam and Joel showed up around 9:30 and began right away. The work was done in a very professional manner and both men were very helpful with some other questions and concerns that I had. They left the work area cleaner than it was before they arrived. While I though the price a bit on the high side there were no unexpected costs. Adam provided me with estimates for a few other projects and I would definitely hire them again.

Daniel Kent of Black Mountain Plumbs came out at the specified time. Found a pin hole leak in the pipe leading to the shower. Find and fix required opening up the ceiling and the area behind the upstairs tub. Opening walls is messy but Daniel did a nice job of fixing the problem and cleaning up. Will definitely use Black Mountain Plumbing again.

James was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and an efficient worker. He did a good job installing my customer-supplied replacement kitchen faucet. Black Mountain offered a reasonable fixed price for the job. James pointed out corrosion and incomplete flow shut-off in the existing hot and cold water shut-off valves and I opted to have him replace those as well with new, higher-quality shut-off valves for an extra charge. I approved the work and was emailed a copy of the invoice via an app on his tablet which was very convenient.

Daniel was great. When I asked him to use the shutoff valves and supply lines that I had bought from Home Depot, he explained that he couldn't for warranty reasons and he showed me the ones he was going to use which were clearly far better and far higher quality. He also fixed something else that was bothering me which was that the faucet would blast water out when the handle was opened all the way. That was why I was messing with the shutoff valve in the first place which caused the leak. He also checked the water pressure and evaluated the water heater. I also like the fact that he educated me about why I shouldn't try to adjust shutoff valves so they are only part-way open and answered my water heater sediment questions.

Excellent. I purchased the replacement faucet at my local home store and Black Mountain did the rest. They called & texted before coming and were prompt and friendly. The new faucet works great. :)

Very smoothly. Service person arrived soon after initial call and took a look and provided an estimate. After we approved the estimate, he came promptly and installed the new taps which now work very well. He was pleasant and courteous throughout and knew what he was doing.

Called Black Mt. Plumbing on Tues. evening and got an appt. set up for the following day, Wed. Feb. 22, 2017, James one of the service reps. showed up 10 mins. after he called and said he was on his way. He looked at the toilet and said he thought maybe he could take care of the problem by using a hand snake machine and then he wouldn't have to take the toilet up. He looked at the other main toilet and saw that it was not backed up and worked fine. James got the hand snake came back in and took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. He then checked the water pipes under the kitchen sink and the water heater. He checked outside the water pressure and told me it was ok, but possibly I might want to get a gauge attached to the front faucet, and would send me an estimate. I was impressed by James and he got the problem taken care pretty quickly and also did the other checks also. Defintely will call this company again if any problems. Great service.

WOW...Simply the Best Experience Ever From the original phone call to the job completion, this Team was Top Notch... I will put them on my speed dial for my future plumbing needs. Scott and Joel worked our project to perfection. They were Heaven Sent, and i would Recommend them to anybody that has a small job or a huge project....

They responded promptly to my e-mail, and gave me an appointment at a time I could be home. Came a little later than expected, but called me to let me know they would be delayed. Hauled away the old water heater, installed new with all required safety features, explained all they were doing, and told me how to get the required city inspection completed. Professional, neat (cleaned up everything after job done), friendly. They even honored the previous estimate they had given me, although their material costs had gone up since that time.

My plumber Travis arrived on time and did an outstanding job.

The plumber arrived punctually. He was honest and thorough in his assessment of the situation. He did not talk us into more expensive repairs that were not necessary. The drains were repaired correctly and the foul smell is now gone.

It all went very well - John arrived the same day we called for service within the promised time frame (other plumbing companies were too busy to come out the day we called) . A significant part of the water heater was no longer working but happily was under warrantee (although not the labor). John replaced the part and then explained important information about our heater that we were not aware of. John is incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We would love to use him for our future plumbing needs.

I called Blk. Mt. Plumbing based on their reviews and was not disappointed. Their prices were a bit higher than some I had used in the past but they were worth it. Kathy set up my appointment for the same day (appt. was within 2 hours of my call too!). She gave me a ballpark on what the price would be depending on the equipment used and the amount of time it took. Travis got to my home within minutes of the early end of the appt window and was very professional and personable. He asked questions about what I had tried already and if I was having problems with any other drains. He did not try to jack the price up or convince me there were all kinds of extra problems with the plumbing as another company had in the past. He went over the possible remedies with me and tried the least expensive option first (much appreciated!). He worked quickly and carefully...cleaned up when he was done. He even gave me some suggestions on helping prevent problems when doing plumbing repairs. I really appreciate his advice and level of professionalism. I would definitely call on Black Mt. Plumbing again.
