We needed a leak located at our commercial property ASAP so I called Black Mountain on a Wednesday. They put me in their appointment book for the following day and later on Wednesday someone called me to walk me through the process of leak location. They had concerns about not being able to locate and fix the leak by Friday and they didn't want our issue to continue through the weekend. Due to their concern were willing to referred me to a company that could possibly assist me sooner. The next time we need a plumber I won't hesitate to call Black Mountain, I had a very positive experience with them. Customer service was great!!

I think that they did a very good job but it did seem a little pricey to me. They were good at explaining what needed to happen and why it would cost what it did and they did a good clean up job.

It went very well. They were in and out within a half an hour. Overall, it was a very positive experience. They gave me an estimate and it was right about what they said it would be.

Everything went perfectly. The two plumbers, David B. and Joel, were very professional and courteous. They explained everything thoroughly and made the repairs that needed to be made.

My garbage disposal was broken, and I thought I needed a new one. I was also thinking of replacing the filter under the sink for the icemaker in the refrigerator. The serviceman who came the day after I called (this wasn't an emergency), was able to fix the disposal in about 5 minutes instead of replacing it, and even gave me a special Allen wrench so that I could unjam the disposal myself in the future. So far, so great! However, the company's pricing policy convinced me not to replace the filter. Here's why: for a $30 filter it was going to cost another $150-180 (I don't remember the exact price quoted). They charge $90 for the service call plus an $18.50 service charge. The $90 comes off the first job that they do, and it doesn't spill over into the next job, regardless of how long or short the first job takes. So, there's absolutely no point in saving up a bunch of small plumbing jobs for this company, because you won't save a penny over separate calls. I will use them again for a big plumbing job: the serviceman was both very nice and very knowledgeable about alternatives to the filter we were using, and we will probably eventually go with installing a more expensive but also more versatile kind of filter that we can then replace ourselves. But for a bunch of small plumbing jobs I will continue to use the plumber I was using before.

They were very thorough. They were very professional. They were quick. They only thing I didn't like is they charged me extra for gas. They are only a mile down the road. They were a little expensive.

I was very pleased with their services. They fixed the problem for me, and how could I not be pleased with that? The worker was punctual and very pleasant.

They arrived as scheduled; unfortunately, I had also made an appointment to get my carpets cleaned for the same morning. I forgot you can't clean your carpets if the plumber needs to switch-off your water. So, they (BMP) made a quick call to their next appointment and came back to fix my problem afterwards without issues.

Day 1 - The two man crew (David B and David S) arrived on time and optimistic. They did a video of the main line, but were unable to clear the kitchen drain. After 2 hours, it was clear the machine they brought with them was not up to the task at hand, so they left with a promise to return the next day with a bigger machine. I very much liked the two Davids. They were professional and very open in their communication regarding the problems at hand. Day 2 - Two different young men (Joel and Kevin) arrived. They were much less professional, less confident and more like a couple of junior high kids playing plumber. Lots of giggling and whispering. I found it disconcerting and they certainly didn't make me believe they knew what they were doing. I was disappointed that the original men were not sent back to finish the job. It took another 2-1/2 hours to accomplish the clearing. Before leaving they showed me with a camera where the tree roots were located in our line and strongly advised that I have another company out to 'jet' the lines, and then have the line epoxied to keep the tree roots out. I was satisfied on Day 1, but believe Day 2 would have gone better, and faster, with a more experienced crew. In addition, it's difficult to part with $77.50 per man hour for drain clearing which I think of as unskilled labor.

This seems awfully pricey for such a small repair. We were having other plumbing issues so we asked about what it would take to fix a problem we have been experiencing with toilets that clogged a lot. The guy said that it is probably due to a toy or something way down in the pipes - further than our snake would reach. He told us it would be another $160 to look down the pipe with a deeper snake (but not repair the problem). Again,just seems really pricey to me. I won't be using these guys again.

I found a leak in my water heater and researched Angie's list for plumbers, especially those that installed tankless water heaters. I found Black Mountain. They said they could send someone out to give me an estimate on tankless. I called them back and requested that whoever they sent also drain the old water heater so I could get my water turned back on. The company had only one person who knew about tankless and he was quite backed up that day so he came later than scheduled. However, he was quite helpful once he arrived and we determined that the extra work to install a tankless would not be worth the cost. He called around to try to get a new water heater tank brought to my house that day but it was too late so he arranged to have it done early the next day, first thing. He did drain and remove the old tank that first day. He also gave me the name of a company who does water damage repair and the plumber talked directly with that person to describe the situation. The water heater and plumbing crew arrived the next day and installed the new water heater which is working fine to this day.

Recently we had them come out for some plumbing problems in my home. They were quickly able to link my problems to low water pressure.(This was linked to the installation of the plumbing by the builders when then the home was built.) They fixed the water pressure which helped the function of other items in the household. The workers of Black Mountain are prompt and responsive. The are priced very reasonable and take the time to discuss all options for repair and replacement. I would definitely recommend them to others.

They did great work and efficient. They came out the day of my initial call.

He was bright, clean, neat, and very professional. He really knew what he was doing and seemed to like his job.

The plumber they sent called to say his previous job finished early, so he was able to come earlier than scheduled (yay!). He was polite, knowledgeable, professional, and replaced all the necessary parts (basically all the "in the tank" parts), so that the toilet works great. I used the company's Angie's List coupon for a $20 discount off the $180 price. I'd hire them again.

A bad welding job created a leak inside a wall when new shower fixtures were installed by another company. The leak created mold and mildew in wall and behind baseboard. I noticed it when a toadstool began to grow out of the carpet! Black Mountain did an excellent job of re-welding. No more leak. Everything is fine!

The installation went well and the new toilet works perfectly. The contractor turned up on time and the price was exactly what we had been quoted. The guy who installed the toilet appeared to be a subcontractor and he really irritated my husband by going on about how he could have got a a new toilet of a different brand much cheaper than we paid at a home improvement store. We were replacing the toilet because a previous contractor had put in a cheap one and it didn't work well. We'd actually done quite a bit of research on choosing our new toilet. So it irritated my husband a lot to listen to this guy.

The mark of a good company is how they handle problems with customer service. I encountered some difficulty in communications with the plumber sent to the house, but Scott interceded to be of assistance. I'm happy with the work performed, but the process was a bit of a mixed review. I certainly think they try hard to get it right.

When I first called Black Mountain Plumbing, it was because the upstairs toilet was clogged. I spoke with Scott and he gave me several suggestions to see if I could unclog it myself (thus saving $100). Unfortunately, the clog was too severe and I was not able to unclog it. However, I did appreciate that he gave me these suggestions instead of just sending someone out to make a buck. In the end, I decided to replace the toilet (there was a lot of corrosion in the internal mechanism and it never really flushed well even when it was not clogged). John came out and gave me several options. I decided on the Toto Drake. A few days later, John and a helper replaced the toilet (in less than an hour). They removed and disposed of the old toilet. They did a real clean, high quality, and professional job. We have been very happy with the new toilet.

He has done quite a bit of plumbing for me in the past. I have rental units and he does plumbing repairs for them as well when I need him to. I have used him for many years and he s absolutely great. I would highly recommend him.

I had asked a handyman to do the job, but he couldn t. I called them, and they came to my home right away and fixed the problem. After using them, I can say that they were very attentive and knowledgeable.

John is wonderful! He called to tell me he was on his way and was here within a half hour. He was professional, courteous and he did not dawdle. He fixed the problem and replaced some parts.

They definitely came out right away. They helped me get in touch with companies that could dry the place out for me. They have done other plumbing work for me as well. I am very pleased with the way things turned out. I have no problems with the heater now and all is fine. They were out that day to turn my water off which I thought was really nice.

They were very good. They are very professional, and they did an excellent job. I also think they have very good prices in the market, and their final work was high quality. I will definitely hire them again in the near future.
