On December 23, 2010 the toilet in my 2nd bathroom flooded from the base. When we discovered the inch of water in the bathroom and the toilet running, we were able to turn off the shut-off valve to the toilet. This toilet had been repaired about 3 times in the past and still did not operate very well. I called Black Mountain Plumbing, which had been recommended to me. David and Jon came out to access the situation and fixed several other plumbing problems I was having. David said my toilet needed to be replaced, and on December 28 he installed a new toilet and disposed of my old toilet. He was professional, punctual, easy to deal with, and did a good job on all of my plumbing problems he worked on.

Leak had been "repaired" before but always re-appeared (slow leaks take a while to show). Writing this report 1 year after the service was rendered and there is still no leak, so Black Mnt plumbing really fixed it. They were on time, reasonable priced, professional, clean.

These guys did an outstanding job. We were in the process of selling a home and had a couple underground pipes broken. Reluctantly we used the realtor's plumber which turned out to be a disaster (go figure.) The guy quoted me $1400 as a low-ball estimate and stated that it could cost as much as $2000. So I called Black Mountain Plumbing to have them take a look and they said a) the problem stated by the other plumber was almost completely inaccurate, b) they found another broken leaking pipe about 15 ft away, and c) quoted $640 to fix *both* problems. Black Mountain not only fixed the problem and saved us a bunch of cash but we felt they were honest and acted with integrity.

They just finished yesterday and did a great job. I spent about $2500 on that work. They are just a plumbing company primarily and I know they do some remodeling and I would definitely use them. I was going to use them for the rough end plumbing, but they could not work the weekend I needed them to. I had to use someone else, but I really liked the communication. The owner is terrific and he gives you options, and tells you what he is doing. I like to work that way and the project ran over a little bit and they did not charge me any extra.

They were great and were very professional. The leak was handled efficiently. They were a little on the high side for price.

At the end of his visit I still had the water leak and was $608.10 worse off. I think it was very unprofessional for Black Mountain Plumbing to undertake a task that they were illequiped to handle.

Very punctual and the work was performed as described for the price given in the estimate. Highly professional and trustworthy.

Good experience overall. Having observed what the plumber was doing from time to time, I believe he did an excellent job and was professional and courteous as well.

They were professional, but we decided to go a different route with the work. Their quote was on average with what the other providers were quoting.

We were looking for a complete copper re-pipe of our home. While they seemed very knowledgeable, they were priced significantly higher than other companies for the exact same services. They also did not provide the same warranty that other companies offer. I would recommend shopping around.

They were kind of expensive, but they did a good job. I would recommend them to other people.

He was 100% accurate in his diagnosis of these various problems. He was efficient, neat & professional. At first he said the toilet could be repaired by just replacing an "O" ring but I wanted the guts replaced to make sure there'd be no further problem. He's an honest plumber!!! Then, when the toilet started perpetually running a couple of days later, he came out a few hours after we called him & he replaced the final part for no charge. What a refreshing experience - an honest, beyond competent plumber who knows what he's doing, works neatly & cleanly & didn't charge me for the 2nd part or labor. HIRE THIS MAN WHEN YOU NEED A PLUMBER!!!!

I called at 10am on Saturday morning. Robert showed up at 11am and was gone by noon. Shower drains perfectly now.

They were really good at getting out and doing a good walk-through and quote. They were very efficient and thorough, which I liked. They gave me a detailed estimate, covered everything they were going to do, and explained everything too. They came out very quickly and did the work exactly how they said they would. I do remember that they weren?t the cheapest of providers.

Came home around 7:30 pm to find our water heater (inside garage) was leaking. I had to make a quick decision about who to call so I remember having seen this company on Angie's list, had seen their trucks around the area and they had coupons online and in local publications. David from Black Mountain told me the hourly rate and it seemed high but not knowing what the going rate was and not having time to call around, I accepted it. David was personable and knowledgeable. He drained the water heater and while he was waiting for that installed a new pressure regulator that he told us needed replacing. He also discussed with us the possibility of our soft water system having been the cause of our 10 year warrantied water heater leaking only after 5 years of use. He suggested replacing the soft water system with a whole house filtration system which Black Mountain happens to sell. Because our water heater was warrantied, we would have to wait until the next day to get a new one installed since we were not buying one from Black Mountain; they would pick it up from the manufacturer's supplier. There was a miscommunication within the office because someone was supposed to have called me to let me know when the new heater would be installed. No one called so I contacted the office around noon to see if when the new water heater would be installed. David apologized for the miscommunication and arrived with the new water heater later that afternoon. He installed it along with a drain pan. When he gave me the final balance owed for the job, I was surprised that it was that much because I thought the original estimate he gave us had included the actual price of a water heater which I thought would be subtracted because ours was warrantied. There was even an online coupon for 15% off up to $100 that was applied and still I was surprised that it cost us $850 to remove and install a new water and the charge was all labor plus another $347.00 for the pressure regulator. David explained that part of that $850 was a $200 turn around charge which even after he explained why it was charged made no sense to us.

They were not within the window of time that they gave me. They were supposed to be here between 8-noon. They showed up around 1 pm. The gentleman that came was very knowledgeable, polite and patient so that made up for it.

After experiancing a slab leak in my last home it was a scary propisistion to think "Here we go again" (the discount plumber we dealt with last time was a nightmare). My wife noticed the leak while making coffee on Tuesday morning around 6AM. Today, I realize how lucky I was that Scott was the first person I attempted to contact. He walked me through shutting down the water to the house on the phone and told us to sit tight and one of his crews would be there within the hour. Less then 45 minutes later they arrived. They diagnosed the problem and gave us an estimate. By the time I arrived home from work that night, the job was complete. They are true professionals and have earned my as well as my family and friends business for life.

Very quick. Was there within a day from when I initially called. Reasonable price.

Called initially on a Tuesday, described the problem (told them I though it might be the backflow valve. I was quoted $155 to clear my main. They showed up, diagnosed the problem and told me I needed a new blackflow valve. They said they they'd check into cost. They did call the next day and quoted me $370 to replace my backflow valve (parts and labor). I told them I would probably have it done in a couple of weeks. The following Tuesday yy main backed up again. I called Black Mountain, they ordered the parts and showed up at 3:30pm the same day. After taking the valve out the technician determined I didn't need a new valve. This was good news, except that if the first guy had figured this out, he could have fixed it the fist time. So he repaired the valve (added 18" of PVC) and replaced it (he did give me a break when I noted this could have been done on the first trip). Then he noted that my pressure regulator was installed improperly, and I should have a new one installed, this was $250, took about 1/2 hour (btw 3/4" pressure regulator is about $50). $200/hr is way too much for a plumber. But I needed to be able to take a shower! The service person was very nice and very professional, and helpful. They do a good job, but should figure out a reasonable hourly rate and charge T&M.

I called them with a leak under the kitchen sink and they were the most responsive company. They sent someone out the next day. They fixed a leak under the kitchen sink, they had to replace the existing pipes. They also unclogged a drain in the bathroom. Very professional and the repair didn't take too long.

We are not ready to get the work done but plan to use this company when we get the work done.

They were very helpful on the phone, it was easy to schedule an appointment, cost was reasonable, showed up on time, did good work.
