They showed up when promised and even called shortly before arrival to make sure we knew exactly when to expect them. They cut a smallish whole in the ceiling to discover the source leak. They then tested the pluming for pressure leaks and found none. They then went on to test and evaluate for 1 hour. Upon departure they thought (but were not convinced) that the issue was a calking issue and calked what they thought was the problem. When they left I made another apt for later in the week to have them install a garbage disposal as my old one stopped working. When they came back the second time they installed the disposal quickly and revisited the leak problem as it was still an issue. They performed some additional testing (ran the shower for over 30 minutes) and became confident that the shower basin was the cause. In the end they spent roughly 2 hours checking for the leak and 30 minutes replacing the disposal. The price wasn't the cheapest but I feel I was treated properly. Overall they there thorough, professional and polite. The only thing they could have done better was to do it all cheaper. A man named Dave came on both visits and he was extremely polite and friendly. My young child badgered him the whole time and he didn't even bat an eye. If and when I call BMP again I plan to ask for him specifically.

This company fixed my problem with just a phone call!!! John treated me like I was his mom, sister, or next-door-neighbor and Cathy who took my initial phone call set the tone as such. I had called a competitor prior to Black Mt Plumbing and I still haven't rec'd a return call from them (it's been 24 hrs). This is going to be such good conversation fodder! They were professional, and knew what they were doing. We only had to shut off the water for 10 mins when they working.

Larry was the plumber from Black Mountain. The appointment was 10am. He called at 9:45am and told me he was on his way. He arrived promptly at 10:10am. Introduced himself and looked at what needed to be done. I live in a condo complex and it required him to turn off the water to the 10 unit building and unplug the recirculating pump for the waterheater. He knew the specifics, had the right key to access the waterheater room and turned everything off as needed. He then got to work and replaced the angle stops.He was quick, personable and kept the area as clean as possible to do the job.

John was very helpful and professional all the way through the process. On the phone he tried to problem solve with me to help me avoid a service call altogether. His advice was very helpful. Jerry & John came out. Both were professional. No problems in the main were found so my husband and I asked them to pull and camera the master toilet line. That, too, was clear, but they did find that the other company who installed new toilets in our home two weeks ago, had not sealed the wax to the toilet. That could have been a problem down the road. We are thankful that this was remedied. The toilets are good ones and the lines are clear, so now we will have to address our clogs with stool softeners, toilet paper brands or possibly pressure toilets.

Dear Angie and Black Mountain Plumbing, David and Solomon were able to find a low boy condo style hot water tank and install it the same morning, how happy were we!They arrived on time, called so we knew they were on their way, they were super friendly, did a great job, and very clean work.It's good to have a plumber you can trust and depend on for any future needs. I had a toilet leak, into the bowl, which ordinarily is a simple repair. However, my tank opening is narrow, there is a 'bucket' surrounding the flapper (probably to reduce water use), and a 'banjo' counter top covers the tank opening. I attempted the repairs myself, but could navigate the constrained space. The technician called before arrival to announce his approximate arrival time. I asked that the flapper and the fill mechanism be replaced, and he quoted me the price for both plus the flex hose, which needs to be replaced when the fill mechanism is replaced. The technician discovered that the flapped value was not the typical soft flapper but instead a hard flapper, which requires adjustment. When the work was done and the toilet was operating normally, the technician asked how I heard about them. I told him Angie's list, and he said that there was a discount coupon available on the site and he would wait as I printed it out.

Larry & Kevin arrived at my home promptly as promised. These guys were professional, clean and personable! They finished this job in less than 2 hours. It was actually a pleasure doing business with them and as a woman who relies on building professionals, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to me to have confidence in those I hire. The price was definitely fair and these guys know their job! I will definitely use them again and refer them to other homeowners in this complex. Larry arrived on time and quickly got to work fixing the biggest problem, the leaking toilet. He explained everything he was doing and described any parts he was using and charging us for, and their function, too, which was nice. After that was finished, he showed us how to flush the hot water heater and what to look for when we would do it in the future. He tried to fix a stinky smell in a sink by cleaning out the P-trap and the sink overflow. Finally, he took a look at the bathtub and suggested a solution. We did not try to fix the bathtub, since he didn't have the part. He answered all our questions, and made us feel welcome to ask as many as we liked. He was very good at explaining things to us, since we don't know anything about plumbing. He was very courteous and friendly.

My experience was excellent. The friendliness and helpfulness of the technician really stood out. I will definitely use them again if needed.

I have been using this business for at least 10 years. Their service is always prompt, courteous and knowledgeable staff, and a quality job. They are fair in their pricing. They retain employees. I would not hesitate to recommend Black Mountain Plumbing for any of your needs.

I had a leak behind a toilet in my house. The plumber who came out couldn't really figure out where the leak was coming from. Since there was no leaking at the time he came over he suggested he just leave and I call back when the leak was active. In other words, pay them approximately $100 for nothing and then pay again on the next trip out. I asked if it made sense to replace the unit from the wall to the toilet. He wasn't sure that would help but made the change anyway raising my charge to about $160. The next day the leak was back. I spent $14 dollars and swapped out the toilet fill valve. That fixed the problem. I have to think any competent plumber would have suggested that step be taken prior to any other.

They were excellent. I was very happy with their services and I would absolutely use them again.

Travis & Kevin came to repair the leak in the sprinkler line. They were courteous and professional. They cleaned up the area which they dug out very well, too.

Based on manner directed towards us during a telephone call in our time of emergency, we elected not to go with their services. We called based on ratings and now are completely turned off from the telephone interaction alone. First impressions are important....

This is the 5th time since October that we have used Black Mountain Plumbing. I am hard to please when it comes to service vendors and consistently, I have been pleased with the service, responsiveness and costs when using BMP. Each time I call there is a service technician at my home within the hour...can't believe it. They diagnose the problem quickly, get the work done efficiently (and the first time) and their prices are very competitive. I was expecting the usual scare tactics and price gouging, but not with BMP. Robert and Solomon were here for the slab leak (UGH!) in October. They took the time to consider all options for the pipe reroute before cutting into the walls and discovered the least "destructive" path to do it which saved time and repair costs. Next John was out to replace the water pressure regulator. He arrived on time, maybe even early, got the repair done AND at a reasonable cost. Next John and Soloman paid a visit for a strange leak at the side of the house. As usual, they were on time (within the hour), explored every option to detect the leak and gave me follow up instructions. Solomon got to come back, again, to re-install a toilet. Same old, same old - on time, quickly finished, great price. Last we got to meet Robert for a failing water heater at 4:00 on a Friday night. Once again, although I hated to pay for it, we were pleased. They have been here so many times I feel like we need to add them to the Christmas Card list. I did ask if they offered a frequent user punch card :)...not so much, but, they have always asked me if I am an Angie's List member so they can offer an additional discount on their services. They are all great and I have great confidence recommending BMP!

I phoned for help, and within 2 hours Travis showed up. 15 mins later he solved the problem which I had been attempting to fix for days. Great Guy, Great Job. Satisfied Customer.

Scott came to our house and quickly corrected the problem. He had a very pleasant and personable manner, and we were delighted to have found him through Angie's List. He will certainly be the first we contact if we have any further plumbing problems.

Robert repaired a leaking Kohler faucet in our bathroom. He was very nice, he was very professional, he knew exactly how to fix the problem, and he made the repairs very quickly and efficiently. When he was done, he cleaned the area so thoroughly you would never know he was there. He did an outstanding job, and I was thoroughly satisfied with his work.

I went into the garage late last night and noticed water on the floor. OK, I know the leaking water heater drill, so I shut it down and began draining it to minimize the additional water flowing from the leak. Just what I didn't need as we were leaving town for a few days the next evening. Then went on Angie's List and Black Mountain Plumbing was at the top of the results list (within 5 miles of my house). They had both recent and good reviews. I called their number and the answer service picked up and took my information. Received a call just before 8:00 AM the next morning from John. We reviewed the details and John quoted a price. I thought about it for a bit and then called back with the go ahead. John said someone would be by before noon and start the work and later someone else would bring the new water heater and new recirculating pump and help with the installation. Kevin arrived at 11:00 AM and began the job. Travis arrived an hour or so later with the new water heater. The job was finished by about 2:30. Overall a great experience. Kevin and Travis were professional, friendly and offered various tips and feedback on a few things. It had been awhile since I replaced a water heater, so the price was more than I expected, but hey the last time I did this was probably in the early 90's. Plus it is a 75 gallon water heater with a non-functioning recirculating pump. I later checked via Home Depot web site and the pricing was very much in line, probably less since there was none of the extra charges so often experienced. Given a choice, I prefer dealing with a local owner/business when possible, and I am happy I chose Black Mountain Plumbing. I will call them again when needed.
