They showed up on time, disconnected the old water heatr, did prep work for the new one and then installed it. Perfection comes to my mind.

He was awesome. Amazingly informative and helpful. He explained to me very clearly everything he was doing as I watched. He didn't mind at all that I asked 1,000 questions. I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat. In fact I've recommended them to others and they were also just as happy.

It went very well. The plumber explained what he was going to do, and after clearing the drain, explained to me what I should do to avoid the problem. Very professional.

I had a capped natural gas line for a BBQ grill coming out of the house, and needed to add the hardware to connect to the grill's quick-connect adapter. Larry arrived with all the necessary couplings and quickly built a right-angled connection, with a shut-off valve, allowing me to use the grill's quick-connect adapter.

He fixed my bathroom sink, washer leak and replaced the faucet in my kitchen. He came back in a couple of days and found that I needed some piping. I am happy that I now have hot water. He was very professional and pleasant. He took the time to explain some things to me. I was very pleased

They are great. They have done a lot of work for me. The toilets were humming when flushed before the repair was made but afterwards it wasn't. They are honest and they've got a lot of integrity. I also like that anyone who comes out from there really knows what they are doing. They always solve the problem when they leave. They are not really interested in trying to get extra business. They will just do what you ask them to do. If they see something else, they will let you know but they are not trying to create work. They always come when they say they are going to come. They give me a call before they actually come to let me know that they are on their way.

Larry and Daniel arrived very punctually. They reviewed the work that needed to be done and provided me with an estimate of the cost which was very fair. After approval, they went right to work and were very professional and efficient on the job. They cleaned and tidied the area after they did the work. I would hire them again.

He was professional, friendly, and courteous. Took care of everything after paying extra for a second trip. I am happy with work. I feel like we were overcharged and the problem should have been fixed the first time.

Travis came over to give a quote, and we accepted it. Travis and Larry came to install the new water heater the next day's afternoon. Thanks very much to their prompt schduling given we had no hot water at all. The installation went well. After they left, we found a bit leaking on the cold water pipe. Travis came back in 30 minutes and took about one hour fixing the problem. We appreciate his quick response and professional work. It has been 2+ monthssince the new waterheater was installed. We are very happy about it.

Larry came out on 2/19 after the holiday to check if we had a pending problem in the drains. We'd had some unexplained leakage at a plumbing joint over the weekend and were concerned about a clog. He had us run water while he checked how it flowed through and everything looked good. It cost about $100 for his time to come out and open the cap to look. We were happy to know it wasn't a problem. He suggesed a $200+ camera view of the pipes if we have future questions. I was a little uncomfortable with how quickly they suggested the camera both in the initial call and when Larry showed up. It felt a little bit lke a money-maker more than a service. I understand why it could make sense when snaking doesn't work... but I think just the snaking does work for most of us in most situations at the $100+/hour rate vs the $200+ camera shot. Also, Larry's hourly prices were higher than the ones quoted by another man on the phone before he came. He said the increase was in the last couple of months. I calculate the increase to be a little more than the discount amount they offer Angie's List contacts. Their workers are employees vs contractors, which we like since past plumbers sent various subcontractors who didn't know the house or the history. It sounds like Black Mountain keeps client information so they know more of the history of the place. We'd go back to them.

Solomon was extremely nice and punctual. He was very knowledgeable and did not try to push me to fix things I was not ready to fix.

Larry had to cut into the main water to the house and run a drain all the way across to my laundry room drain where he had to plumb through the garage drywall into the house. He was extremely conscientiousness and thorough. My laundry drain did not appear to be large enough to accommodate the new drain so he called the office. Scott came out within 15 minutes to review the situation and instead of having to reschedule the install, they came up with a solution that worked at no extra cost. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat! They worked cleanly and quickly and I was really impressed.

My kitchen sink kept on getting backed up so I called Black Mountain Plumbing. I have used them before and always had a good experience. Larry came this time and he was great. He quickly figured out was wrong, fixed it, and then made sure it was working well before he left. I would call him again in a second.

Scott and Joe were great from start to finish. I bought an older home and the bathrooms were terrible. The work took about 5 weeks and was done on schedule as estimated. We could not be happier. I was dreading the remodeling process but with Scott and Joe it was a great experience. I highly recommend them

The Black Mountain plumber came this AM at 10:12, then sat in the truck on a personal phone call for 20 minutes. On the front porch he announced " I smell sewer! " and you "got the expert! " He decided I had a main line sewer blockage without looking at anything. Then he diagnosed all the plumbing problems before he got past the foyer. He wouldn't listen to me, kept changing what the problem was and telling me how much more everything was going to cost. Finally looked at one toilet and insisted the leak was coming from the base O ring, when it was obviously dripping from the tank. Told me the sewer problem was tree roots, but there are no trees within 25 yards except a palm tree, 20 feet away. Kept talking over me, repeating how much things were going to cost, rolling his eyes... Felt like, he thought I was just a "stupid old woman" he could bulldoze over. At this point all I wanted him to do was turn off the water in the guest shower that wouldn't stop dripping. He kept insisting that he had to replace the faucets with the ugly one he had in the truck to the tune of $279 +.labor .. Told him I didn't want a new fixture set (especially that ugly plastic one ), just turn off the drip. He finally called someone - after another personal phone call - and he managed to turn it off. He charged me $90 for the service call - okay, THEN an $18 "Truck Fee" Huh?? They said it's for gas. Really? How else do they plan to get here? when I complained he said he'd give me the internet coupon discount of $20 - Yeah! but I had to go to my computer and print it out. Then he changed his mind on the printed version. I called the main number and there was no "supervisor or owner" available but talked to the owner's mother!

I had no problem scheduling an appointment, and was impressed with the friendly customer service on the phone. My husband and I just finished remodeling our kitchen, and needed to reconnect the sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. Solomon arrived this morning when he said he would, and went over the proposed work with me before starting. I didn't plan to have the dishwasher installed, but am happy that Solomon and Robert were able to get it done so quickly. It's such a wonderful feeling to have a functional kitchen again, and Solomon did a fantastic job setting up our sink for us. He even took a moment to draft an estimate to replace our 11-year old water heater, and discussed the extra work and cost required for a tankless heater. Thank you so much for a job well done, and for keeping such pleasant people on staff!

My kitchen faucet had finally corroded over to the point of being unusable. I looked at replacing it myself but the workspace was cramped, the corrosion was bad, and I really didn't have the right tools for working in the tight space. Besides I had a toliet valve that was leaking and I don't do close to the wall soldering. I called Black Mountain plumbing and scheduled and appointment. Travis Morgan showed up on time, looked over the work needed, and gave me a quote. I agreed to the price and he started work. He tackled the leaking valve and hed it finished in no time. The kitchen faucet took a little longer than expected for the same reasons mentioned above. He cranked through it. He also took the time to clean away all the corrosion and gunk from the sink before installing the new faucet. I figured that I'd have to jump in and clean away all the corrosion after he removed the old faucet and before he installed the new one. This was a nice, unexpected, touch! He also examined the sink as a whole and told me it was in great shape. He recommended keeping it if I remodel. Bottom line is that Travis Morgan from Black Mountain was a great guy to work with. He did all the little things that you don't expect.

Called service Saturday for Monday morning. Monday morning I received a call that they could be out that morning. A short time later I received a call that they were on theri way! Punctual, friendly, competent and professional. Installed a kitchen faucet and cleaned up after. Larry was quite good and I would highly recommend him and Black Mountain Plumbing. Don't forget to look at their web site for coupons and use that one or the Angie's List discount that they offer to get the best value.

Solomon arrived on time and completed the work quickly. He offered to take away the old faucet and packing it came in - which I took him up on. Afterwards he checked home water pressure. He left discount cards for potential garbage disposal or water heater replacement if needed in the future.

Best experience I have ever had with a plumber. Fairly priced, open for discussion, flexible, and thorough. They are now my "go to" plumbers.

From start to finish, our experience with Black Mountain Plumbing was fantastic. We had noticed water under our living room carpet, and could not determine the source. We were worried it might be a slab leak. I checked Angie's List right away, and was very impressed by the great reviews for Black Mountain Plumbing (which I later learned are VERY well-deserved!) I left both an online and a phone message Wed. night requesting an appt. asap, and amazingly a human voice picked up the phone, even though it was after 8 pm! The next morning, the owner of this fine business, Scott, called me personally to see exactly what the situation was over here so he could make a plan to decide who to send. I was truly amazed by this level of customer service! When I told Scott we thought it might be a slab leak, and could not find the source of the leak, Scott right away told me it would be cost-effective to send a leak detection specialist over before sending one of his plumbing teams. I appreciated so much his concern for our budget, and his careful explanation of why this would be a good way to go. Scott contacted his preferred leak detection specialist co., CPL (see my separate review for that great organization), and CPL very quickly sent a lovely man, Jose, out, and he found the leak pronto. After determining what the problem was (not a slab leak, thank goodness!), Scott called me back again and said they had talked to Jose, and could have a team out the next day to fix the problems. The time estimate was entirely accurate, and the Black Mountain Plumbing team, Dave and Rich, arrived promptly on Friday. What a couple of super nice guys they are! I highly recommend that you ask for them by name when you need plumbing work done. Dave and Rich gave me an accurate estimate for the work they would be performing, and then quickly got busy and changed out a water pressure regulator that CPL had found to be broken the previous day. In doing this work, the old water shutoff valve to our house snapped, resulting in poor Dave getting soaked. He made no complaints about this and declined my offers for towels, jackets,etc., and just calmly went about his business in fixing the problem, after explaining there would be a slight addtl. charge to repair the unexpected break. After quickly remedying these problems, Dave and Rich came inside and did the dirty work of fixing the leak under our kitchen sink. While Dave was working on that, Rich very kindly offered to come out and check our hot water heater since I had asked him some questions about how long it would last, etc. I honestly can't remember ever dealing with plumbers who were so careful to explain things in a way even I could understand, and who were so good-natured and pleasant to deal with, let alone got the job done quickly and without any unexpected charges. I guarantee you will be pleased with Black Mountain Plumbing and the wonderful Dave and Rich team. Even though no one wants to have to need a plumber, it will be a pleasure to have these men back at our house anytime, and to know with confidence the job will be done well by trustworthy and very pleasant people. Kudos to Scott for running such a great organization and a big thank you to all of you!!

I had used them before. It went well. They know what they're doing and get it done. The outcome was good.

Travis Morgan from Black Mountain was great. He helped my mother with several problems with her kitchen sink and disposal and also with drainage problems in a bathroom sink. This is the second time Black Mountain has come out to help my elderly mother with plumbing issues at her house and we've gotten excellent service both times.

Everything worked great! We've worked with them for awhile. We really liked them and they've been respectul and quick!

Fixed the valve in less than 20 minutes and then moved and replaced the fittings for the water line in the bathroom. All done in about 1 ½ hours.
