We had another flood. After working with Black Mountain Plumbing the last time we didn't hesitate to call them again. We turned off the water and they came over as soon as they could. They determined that this leak was in the cold water line where the last one was in the hot water line. They were prompt enough that we could get the leak detection people over the same day and the plumbing repaired the following day. They were courteous and professional and we wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Professional. There were no shortcuts, nothing dumb meaning we did not have to watch and explain every detail to get a professional job. They were very aware of how to do the best job. Since we had a flood due to a broken solid old connector when we moved in, we have been replacing all the old with new fixtures and this was done as part of the job. Angie's list discount given without asking. I am writing this today as we are calling them back today for a few other items we need done. We will use them as our sole plumber until they give us a reason to change.

It went great! Larry & Daniel were here on time as promised. House is around 10 years old and disposal needed to be replaced. Discovered undersink drain (including trap) & disposal connections were all cemented in place and poorly done (it was a "rats nest"). Dishwasher drain to disposal was kinked causing water leakage at air vent. Larry & Daniel quickly assessed situation, removed old connections and replaced with new the way it should have been done in the first place, neat & professional. Now trap and/or disposal can be removed by loosening three threaded fittings. We are very pleased.

It was going to cost way to much to switch it over. So we decided to keep our electric stove. He gave me a reference for someone to help me with reverse osmosis. When I called his reference, I wasn't able to get ahold of anyone.

We had the pleasurable service of Travis Morgan. He was very punctual and called about 15 min before he showed up to let me know he was on his way. We just moved into a newly remolded house and had a washer and dryer delivered the day before. Unfortunately, they couldn't install them because there was no shut off valve on the gas pipe for the dryer and now place for the vent to go outside. Also the return pipe for the washer was not cut out yet. Travis assessed the situation and was able to install the gas shut off very quickly. He then noticed the valves on our water heater were old and he replaced two for free! He also cut open the return pipe for the washer to see if there was a correct piping installed already and there was and he did not charge for that either. We asked for him to install a pipe to the outside of the house and he gave us a quote but he did not have the parts needed for the job on him. He explained that we could buy something at Home Depot for cheap to just suck up the lint, but we realized that it would cause our garage to get too stuffy. He made an appointment right there to come out the next day to install the pipe and while he was doing that we are going to have him install a utility sink next the the washer dryer as well. Very reasonable and professional and obviously knows what he is doing. This is the second time using Black Mountain Pluming (used Solomon at our old place) and I am using them again tomorrow and will update with how that work goes.

Excellent service, polite, punctual, and helpful. They were able to send someone out the same day I called. Snaked out our entire kitchen drain line and explained dos and don'ts of garbage disposal to us as new homeowners. Answered all my questions and even had a sense of humor!

Black Mountain Plumbing came out and fixed a break in my water main. They were friendly, professional and efficient. I will definitely call them the next time I have plumbing needs.

Excellent! They gave us a price range and when they got here and started doing the repair, they ran into an obstable, but they didn't charge us any extra. Did a nice job.

Had to find leak, turned off hot water to determine if leak on my side of wall or neighbor's wall. Cut New pipe this the 2nd time I have needed a plumber and both times I have used Black Mountain Plumbing. Larry responded both times, be was extremely helpful!!

They were great with the installation. They could have cleaned up a little bit better.

Inspected various appliances and plumbing items (hoses, drains, etc.), and checked water pressure. We asked technician to replace garbage disposal gasket, but he advised that repair involved significant labor time/cost to unmount the disposal so he recommended we buy an inexpensive drop-in gasket/baffle (under $10 online). Saved us big money. The only lack of attention-to-detail item was setting our water heater thermostat to VACATION instead of normal range. We got to take cold showers the next day until we troubleshot and figured out what must have happened. We would have given A's across the board if not for that one item.

I called Black Mountain Plumbing at 8:01 this morning, and within an hour later, the kitchen sink drain was unclogged. The reception service was prompt and professional. They gave me a window of between the time of my call and noon, but shortly afterward, Larry called to let me know he was on his way, even calling back to let me know he would be delayed just a few minutes. He listened well, gave me the estimate, got his equipment, and resolved the clog extremely quickly. While finishing up, he noticed my faucet was leaking. Since the timeframe was well under the minimum 1 hour charge, he quickly fixed the faucet for me as well for no additional charge.

He was very effficient, cleaned up after himself and very polite to me.

Called Black Mountain Plumbing on Tuesday about problem with kitchen faucet. Was quoted a window between 08:00 and 12:00 hours. Received a call from Travis that he was en route and he arrived at 08:30. I showed him the problem with the meager flow from the faucet and informed him I had checked the water pressure from the street side and the house side and my gauge read over 95 psi on the house side. He also checked the pressure from the street and the house side and it was determined my gauge had failed and nothing was wrong with the house pressure regulator (It was an inexpensive Big Box gauge). He did not charge for the house call. Travis then provided me with a reasonable estimate to change out the kitchen faucet and replace it with a new one. My wife and I went out and bought a replacement faucet on Wednesday and scheduled Black Mountain to come out the following day to do the installation. The arrival window was quoted to be between 08:00 and 12:00 hours. On Thursday, at 10:45 hours Solomon arrived to install the faucet we purchased. During installation it was discovered that the new faucet handle was too close to the purified water spout. After some discussion we decided to switch the position of the purified water spout with the air gap device which served the dish washer. This would allow the necessary space to operate the new kitchen faucet handle. This additional work was not included in the original estimate for installing the kitchen faucet. During the process of switching these two devices it was discovered that one of the existing holes in the sink was too small. It was necessary for Solomon to enlarge one of the existing holes in order to complete the job. This required additional time and equipment to cut the stainless steel top to the proper size hole. This additional work was not included in the original estimate for installing the kitchen faucet. After completion of the work Solomon double checked the street side and the house side water pressure and it coincided with the measurement from two days previous. We are pleased with Black Mountain Plumbing and with Solomon's work on this job, which had a couple of hiccups.

Black Mountain plumbing gave me a good idea of what to expect on the phone. They came out quite quickly. The best part of my experience was that the installer, John, was very knowledgeable and also very easy to communicate with/pleasant. He offered a wealth of information and helped me understand what happened/why my water heater T&P valve broke (it was spewing constant water to the relief spigot outside). As we discussed all the details it became obvious that the reason the T&P valve gave way when it did was because I the pressure reducer valve had broken, so I had very high water pressure in my home, and I had recently replaced all the toilet valves which gave the high pressure nowhere else to go. He also gave me a variety of tips on plumbing in general. Overall, outstanding service. I will certainly contact them again. My only concern is that it did seem pricey at $700, but I did check one competing outfit and their cost (at least just for the T&P valve) was even higher. So I think plumbing repairs are just sadly expensive. Partly no doubt due to liability.

Answered by phone call promptly. Didn't want to give specific repair recommendations or price estimate without a visit. Said there would be no charge for a visit and estimate. Stated a time window when they would be by (two hour window). Called me at the beginning of the window to confirm. Were there promptly. Two repairmen, introduced themselves. Looked at the situation and recommended a repair. Price was higher than other providers, but they said they were "standard" rates. I balked, and they said perhaps they could lower the price $20. I mentioned I found them via Angie's list and they said they would honor a 10% online coupon if I would print it out. When filling out the estimate form I noticed a $20 trip/vehicle fee, and again balked at that. They waived it. They did the work swiftly and professionally, nice guys. One of them pointed out other small items around the house that they could take care of, but the price was again prohibitive given that most of them were simple DIY-type things. They gave me some coupons for specific jobs (water heater, disposal) should I need them in the future.

We got up to no hot water this morning, investigated and found water heater dead and leaking. Called Black Mountain even before their official hours of operations,and spoke to a nice woman who took all the info and passed it along. Got a call back within minutes and was assured new water heater could be installed this morning and that the installer would call when he was on his way. Got a call from Travis, the installer, an hour or so later and he arrived with the necessary new water heater on his truck. After checking for other problems, he and his co-worker found that our water pressure regulator was also inop, which probably had a hand in the death of the water heater. They replaced that as well as installing the new water heater, and were out of here before their estimated 2 hour time frame was up. Terrific job. It's such a pleasure to deal with people who know what they're doing, and who seem to truly care about their customer.

Alan and Mark came same day I called. They phoned when they were on their way and arrived as scheduled. They did their work quickly and were very neat. One sink needed to be snaked. The sink drains are now clear and running freely. I could not have asked for more.

I had a water ring forming in the ceiling outside the second bathroom at my condo. Black Mountain was the most responsive of the companies I called and could send someone out same day to look at the problem. The plumber called to see if he could come out an hour earlier than scheduled when I originally called, which was nice. He was able to find the problem quickly, discussed the proposed fix with me, and replaced the leaky pipe with new materials in less than 90 minutes. He had things wrapped up and cleaned up (and he even picked up pieces of insulation that fell out from the crawl space when he was up there fixing the leak) before I even got a call back from the handyman I'd called the day before. Super responsive, professional and appreciated that he was able to explain the problem to me and even showed me the leak on the pipe that he removed. I would definitely use them again in the future for any other problems.

I called on A Thursday because our water softener was spewing like a pressure cooker. I had the water softener company come out and they found that the water pressure to the house was too high, and told me to call a plumber to fix the regulator. I called Black Mountain plumbing and explained that it was an emergency because our regulator wasn't working. They asked me the size of the regulator, gave me an estimate and were able to schedule a tech to come out the next morning. On Friday, Travis, came out at 8:20am, looked at the regulator, agreed it was not working, but did not have the part he needed on the truck because it was not a threaded PRV. He left to get the correct part, replaced the PRV as well as the ball valve. Travis was very kind, worked quickly, and explained everything before he repaired the parts. He was finished in 2 hours.

The price was moderate and reasonable. He gave me helpful suggestions as to what needs to be done and what doesn't need to be done. He was helpful in terms of guiding and giving the different options for the things that I had. The work was very professional. He cleaned up everything and didn't leave any mess behind.

I tried to fix the leakage from the bath water tap and could never fix it and at the end it just got worst. I found Black Mountain Plumbing on Angie's list and because of the high recommendations from others I contacted them by email. The next day I was contacted by them and had an appointment scheduled for MY next available time. Despite they give a rather wide time interval for when they can show up, I could request a time and was granted that, and I found that great! The service man came on time and could fix the job immediately and in a much shorter time than I expected. He was very polite and professional. I will sure hire them again and strongly recommend them.

We had a slow leak from a pipe that had been sliced through when another plumbing company installed our new toilets. The water had been dripping slowly but surely for over four years. The leak was not from a slightly askew roof tile as the roofer told us. Black Mountain Plumbing, who we have used before and always been happy with their work, systematically investigated the possible source of the leak taking the most conservative approach until it became obvious to all of us that a hole had to be cut in the ceiling below the toilet. The source of the leak was found. The pipe was replaced, many tests were run to make sure there were no more leaks, and now all is well. I wish we had had Black Mountain Plumbing install the new toilets. We could have saved a lot of money and the original job would have been done correctly. Hopefully we won't have anymore problems but we will call them if we do.

I have twice used this company and have been very happy with them! They are professional, courteous, on time, and honest. Both times, they have left the condo clean. They have done work on a rental property for me. I live in another state but they have made things very easy for me to get fixed. They completely explain things to me over the phone and send receipts immediately. Happy to recommend!

We had a leak in the copper water pipe in our attic. Where the leak occurred there was very little clearance in the attic. Larry had to climb over the ducting and practically lay face down in the insulation to find the leak. He found and fixed the leak very quickly. Fantastic job!
