Aside from Larry getting lost since apparently he was given the wrong address by the main office, everything went well. He called before he left to let me know that he would arrive within the hour. He and his young assistant Adam were very professional and the job was done in about an hour. I decided to hire Black Mountain Plumbing after calling two other plumbing companies also highly rated on Angie's List. One of them would not give me a firm estimate for the job stating that there were too many "ifs" when replacing angle valves. The other's estimate was almost double the cost per line. Black Mountain Plumbling charges a "vehicle surcharge" of $18.50 which is already printed on their invoice. Had they not offered a 10% discount to Angie's List members I would have reconsidered hiring them because of this fee.

I thought I'd have no trouble changing four angle stops myself and started early Friday afternoon. These were compression fittings, and the second one was very difficult to remove. By then I had the water off to the whole house and couldn't turn it back on until I replaced the angle stops, so I called my usual plumber. Unfortunately, he was out of town and would not be back until Monday, so I called Black Mountain Plumbing based on Angie's List recommendations. They were very helpful on the phone. They gave me a price for the work and said they would send someone out. I told them I would keep trying myself and call them if I had success. Not too long afterwards, I did manage to get that angle stop off, so I called them back and cancelled. They were very nice about it. Of course, the last angle stop was even harder to remove, and by then it was pretty late on Friday. When I called them back this time, it was no problem for them (and they didn't even make any comments about my having to call them a second time!). They got someone out very quickly. I was glad I called, as it was even difficult for the plumber to remove it. He had to cut it off. He replaced all four angle stops. The price would have been the same if I had called them before removing three of the four angle stops, so next time I'll consider having a professional do the complete job! He had everything he needed on his truck, so that also saved me the time and cost of going to buy parts. They credited the Angie's List coupon I had printed out without any problem. I would not hesitate to use Black Mountain Plumbing again.

Very impressed! Professional, detailed, not expensive (compared to the competition), and great cleanup after the work was done! The "two guys" team was very courteous. In fact, they are the best plumbers we've ever had. We will use them again.

Called them yesterday and they were able to schedule appointment for today. They called 20 minutes before arrival. Very friendly. had them check a few other things but all that was needed was tightening so valve won't leak when hose is on.Will use them again when I need plumbing.

We used Black Mountain Plumbing a couple months back on what ended up being a costly repair job to our home due to some tree root damage to the pipes. Having an older home, they recommended we camera the plumbing lines and we paid significantly for this service, to the tune of 500+ dollars. The initial job was completed, but much more expensive and time consuming than we were originally quoted. When it comes to home repair issues these things can happen. We felt that we were paying a higher premium to work with a reputable company based on their reviews and the plumber was courteous and knowledgeable. Flash forward to yesterday, we checked our camera video to help identify a related issue for our ongoing home renovation. Our general contractor requested to see it and so we pulled it up on the computer. Imagine our shock and horror when the DVD was completely blank! We tried to open it on another computer hoping it was some kind of glitch but nope - still blank. Our contractor told us he's actually seen this happen to a lot of people with various plumbers through the years. We were furious! After all, we paid a high price tag to get the best service possible. Surely, we figured Black Mountain Plumbing, being a reputable company, would either have stored our DVD on a backup system or they would re-camera the lines for free since this was their mistake. Well, my husband called today to let Black Mountain Plumbing know of their error and request support. My husband was dismissed and told by their service person that, "Sometimes it doesn't get transferred to the disc properly, sorry." My husband then asked them to come out and re-camera the lines because this was already a service we paid substantially for and need the documentation for renovation and re-sale purposes. He was told a manager would need to be called and we would get a call back. Later in the day, the same service person called back and told my husband per management they will not re-camera for free and they would charge us full price. Then, he proceeded to blame us for their mistake claiming we "probably demagnetized the disc." Seriously?!! Obviously we kept the disc safe in its protective cover. So, basically they tried to deflect ownership of their error by putting all the blame on us. My husband assured the service worker the disc was stored in a safe manner. The service workers just shrugged him off and offered nothing in the form of remediation. In short, the company took no accountability for their mistake, blamed us, and have refused to rectify their error. As it stands now, we will contact Black Mountain Plumbing again, request to speak to a manager and try to get this mess sorted out. Update to follow. Word of advice: If you get your plumbing lines camera'd by any plumber just make sure to watch that DVD the very same day so you don't end up with a blank $500 DVD!

Able to make same day appointment and on time. Solomon able to identify problem and cleared within an hour. He was professional, polite and answered all questions. Would definitely call again.

Their bid was a little higher than the other 2 we received, however after I contacted them they gave us a discount that brought them in line with the other bids. They were very easy to work with and they even checked all the other pumps and found another one that needed replaced. We are going to have them replace that one also. We also used them to locate a leak in one of the units. We are very happy with their service and find them much better to work with than our other plumbing company.

They were really helpful and knowledgeable when I was calling around to find a plumber to install our hot water heater. They answered all my questions and provided lots of good and helpful information. As a woman it meant a lot that they didn't treat me like an idiot. Once work was performed the technician was on time and finished the work quickly. We couldn't be more happy with the pricing and the service. We will definitely use Black Mountain Plumbing in the future. Sorry I can't be more specific with my details, but its been a few months since the service was performed! The provider came out and said that the deal was for something different than what I specifically needed.

I have worked with Black Mountain Plumbing previously. I called requesting a sink replacement and an appointment was scheduled to evaluate the job. I showed them the 3 under mounted bathroom sinks that I wanted replaced with drop in sinks, including faucet fixtures. I also requested the kitchen faucet and garbage disposal be replaced. I asked for recommendations on replacements. After some discussion, I decided which replacements. They wrote up the work order with estimates. They called a few days later, when the materials had arrived, to schedule an appointment to do the installation. A team of two came out and completed the replacements in half a day. At the conclusion, I was informed that they found a crack in one of the sinks that was not visible until they wiped down the sank after installation. They said they would order a replacement and install it free of charge, which they did.

Inspection was fine, we had an issue with little cold water in 2 showers. BMP recommended a ~$200 water flush which did not resolve the problem. We spoke to other plumbers who questioned this approach. Felt a little like an upsell. I will not use them again.

My wife called Black Mountain Plumbing because of the good reviews I saw on Angie's List. They came out same day to see what it would cost to install a thermal expansion tank for our water heater. When they got here they also wanted to replace a brand new pressure release valve. It was going to be quite expensive so my wife was texting me asking what we should do. When I called so I could understand the situation, she put me on the phone with the guy there and I could immediately tell why she was frustrated. The guy was a jerk. And that's the nice way of saying it. If I had been home I would've told him to leave and don't leave an estimate. He spent 30 seconds on the phone with me and when he realized he couldn't bamboozle me, he gave the phone back to my wife and quickly left. He was trying to charge my wife a trip charge and when I said the office said there wasn't a trip charge, he backed down saying there's only a trip charge if you get work done.... which makes zero sense. Unfortunately, there were two people here (according to the paperwork, Larry and Daniel) and she doesn't know which one was the rude one. The other was fine.

Solomon was fantastic. Very professional but also personable; he came during the allotted time window, was knowledgeable and competent replacing our garbage disposal and faucet. He used a tarp so my floor didn't get wet or dirty and did a great job cleaning up when he was done. My husband was impressed by how neat things look under the sink. If you appreciate quality of workmanship then Solomon is your guy. We will use Black Mountain Plumbing again and give them a two thumbs up recommendation.

We've used them on several other occasions and have always been pleased with their service and work. Called them on Thursday afternoon and they were there first thing on Friday morning. They would have come sooner but we didn't want to pay after hour rates. We had a leak in our laundry room on a 1/2" copper pipe. They cut out about a 2' section and replaced it. They explained what needed to be done and then what they did. Larry was friendly, didn't waste time, competent, and worked quickly to accomplish the job. When we called with a question about the job, there was no hesitation to return, Larry came first thing the Monday morning. Discussed the job and was more than willing to adjust it to our satisfaction at no additional cost. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends or family. Even better with an Angie's List discount!

Called Black Mountain Plumbing and requested service.. 2:30 pm on Friday. Said they would have someone at my home By 4pm. Larry from their company showed up at 3:30. He was fast and professional. I have never had a service call performed from call to end in one and a half hours. When I gave my check to Larry he asked how I heard of Black Mountain Plumbing and I told him Angie's List.. He told me to write another check because I was getting a discount. Will definitely use them again.

I will only comment on the great project done by Robert at our house. We had to fix several very expensive/complex faucets, some of them costing more than $1500. I have tried 4-5 local plumbers, but not a single one was willing to do the job - too complicated, too unusual etc etc. My only alternative seemed to be replacing serveral facuets (one would include lifting a bath tub) for a lot of $. Out of desperation, I called Black Mountain Plumbing and ask if anyone there could take on this project. They recommended Robert. Robert correctly diagnosed all the problems, ordered parts needing replacement and fixed everything. One area where parts alone would be over $700, he took the unit apart, fixed it (without ordering expensive parts assembly) and saved me hundreds of $$$. Very impressed! Highly recommended!

The water pressure regulator for my house failed today and began leaking bad enough that I had to shut off the water. I found Black Mountain Plumbing on Angie's List and called to find out what the replacement cost would be, as well as when it could be done. After a few questions about the house, I received a reasonable quote and was told that someone could replace it today. They said I would get a call when they were on their way. 1/2 hour later I got the call and within another 15 minutes two men were at the house. The replacement went quickly, and after testing the pressure, they showed me how to make adjustments, if needed. The men who did the job (Kevin & Adam) were quick, friendly and professional. I would gladly use them again.

It went very well. The two technicians (Solomon and George) were prompt in their arrival time, professional and friendly. They quickly diagnosed the problem and went right to work to fix it. The entire job was approximately 45 minutes and they were neat and clean while doing the work and then with the clean up. I was surprised when they told me the size of their company, as they are quite small compared to some of the other plumbers in the community, but you would never know it by how they conduct themselves. I will definitely make them my plumber of choice for plumbing issues in the future.

I have used Black Mountain Plumbing for repairs in my home and called them to fix a few things in my boss's house. Appointment was made easily. Travis called to tell me he was on his way. He arrived on time and was professional and efficient in his work. Travis did all the work needed in a timely manner which was appreciated.

I would absolutely use Black Mountain plumbing again, below is a list of the reasons why I would use them again: 1. They were timely, they called 30mins before the scheduled time and they arrived on the dot. 2. They were cost effective- the work was done efficiently and on time. 3. They were professional, Larry and Adam, ensured I understood every detail of what was happening and what it was going to cost before the work started and then during the work period. They answered all of my questions and I felt very comfortable asking questions. 4. They were detailed- they ensured there were no leaks and they did a great job on clean up afterwards. Larry worked quickly with sensible, straight-forward solutions to the leakage problem. Very professional and helpful tips, I would definitely recommend him in the future.

Black Mountain responded very quickly to my AL inquiry. They booked the appointment just as I needed it. The plumber showed up on time and was extremely professional and efficient. He was very helpful in discussing some other issues I had. The quality of the work was excellent and he was great at cleaning up the workspace. Overall I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Black Mountain. I would highly recommend and I will use them again.
