The price was Reasonable for the "Deal" I purchased. I had additional work done which cost an extra $167.65 but it was worth every penny. Extremely satisfied with the cost. work was done with quality parts and the workmanship / skill level of David was exemplary / top notch.Punctuality was OUTSTANDING! Rescheduled my appointment since I wanted extra work done but they did show up when expected. They needed a specific part they had to order so that was the reason for the delay but they adjusted their busy schedule to accommodate me the day after my initial scheduled appointment on 8/13 so as not to delay the work.

Black Mtn came to my home to fix a clogged toilet. The technician/plumber was wonderful. He sourced the problem and fixed it quickly. He was very respectful and personable.

I was concerned after I saw a negative review about this offer. The service representative looked at our faucet and immediately said the price would be twice as much. This Big Deal is bogus. Angie's List should immediately remove it from their site as it is a bait and switch. Do NOT use them!

Quick, efficient, fair price.

I was not happy with the service at all. I would never use the company again. He wanted to charge me another $99 dollars because the job would take a bit longer. He finished the job in about 30 minutes. He also gave me a quote to replace the pressure regulator valve. I received another estimate from another company for that service for $100 less. Their pricing is very high. The technician was very nice but I felt like I was being scammed for additional services. The faucet replacement did go well and it is still working to this day. They would not warranty the service however.

I made an appointment with Black Mountain Plumbing to check a plumbing problem I was having. Larry, the Black Mountain Technician, checked a number of issues prior to diagnosing the problem and recommended the installation of a Thermal Expansion Tank. Water pressure has shown a marked increase in my area over the last several years and the measured water pressure for house pressure was about 75-78 PSI (resting) and would go up to about 115 PSI when the hot water was turned on in my home systems (hot water heater, shower, sink). This is significantly higher pressure than is safe. So, Larry installed the system, tested it completely and was able to show me very quickly how the resting/maximum PSI was now at about 60 PSI with 68-70 PSI maximum pressure. Larry was exceptionally patient with my many questions about the Thermal expansion Tank because I was not familiar with the system. He explained every part of the installation (which requires cutting/soldering copper water pipes) as well as the functions within the system that reduce the pressure. Black Mountain Plumbing has done a number of plumbing jobs for me from fixing a running toilet to installing a new hot water heater. I am impressed by their professional competence, punctuality, and efficiency. However, I have also gained substantial confidence in their judgement and willingness to discuss issues. Scot, the owner, is very generous with his time and is always willing to explain costs and need for plumbing work. I recommend Black Mountain to my friends and neighbors.

Larry came on schedule. He validated that the water pressure was high and the pressure valve should be replaced. The quote was competitive and a 10% Angie's List discount was applied. Larry was efficient, clean and polite.

The plumber knew what he was doing. He was competent and professional. I did not feel pressured to purchase anything extra

They were pricey but they did a good job.

They were fine! There were no additional fees. They were here for about 20 minutes. We didn't need any repairs.

Owner Scott quoted attractive job price by telephone, and also voluntarily made a suggestion that avoided the need for working on a second plumbing task in my house. Plumber Travis arrived just at the end of the scheduled appointment window and went right to work. Travis cleverly worked out a plan for replacing the old valve with minimal disruption to the existing water distribution system, thus avoiding the need to install other new parts. Installation went quickly and smoothly, as Travis knew exactly what he was doing and he had all the necessary parts on his truck. I am very satisfied with the work and happy that this minor annoyance with the original valve is ended. I do my own basic house plumbing work, but Black Mountain Plumbing will return anytime more advanced plumbing tasks are needed.

I believe that I experienced a ?bait and switch? attempt with this company. Dave from Black Mtn Plumbing came to my house to give me an estimate on putting in a clean-out in the backyard of my 1926 small bungalow house, as well as an estimate on detecting the source of the vent leaking sewer gas through my bathroom sink. Dave inspected my yard and figured out where the clean-out would likely go, and in response to my request for a ?ballpark? number, he estimated it might cost $800 or so, plus $180/hour to camera the line. I figured the price might go as high as $1200, when all was said and done, so I agreed to the work. I received an email ?estimate? (attached) that stated that running the camera to locate the sewer line, and excavating the line, cutting in the cleanout, installing the sewer box and filling in the excavated dirt would cost $180 per hour (with the total left blank). The NEXT line on the estimate stated ?BMP will give a price on cleanout once located.? This note suggested that there was no ?total? cost on the estimate because they couldn?t know in advance how long the excavation would take. However, after running the camera through my plumbing system and locating where they wanted to put in the cleanout (for which I was charged $260.00), the plumber who had come to do the work told me that to actually excavate and put in the cleanout would cost me another $1840.00, bringing the total paid to have the cleanout installed to $2100.00 He said the hourly rate for this part of the job was $360/hour, even though the estimate stated it was $180/hour. He said the $180/hour was per person (which is NOT stated on the estimate). The fact is that the estimate claims the work will be done for $180/hour, but the price they were going to actually charge me was at least $1100.00 more than the ?ballpark? estimate I was given, and $500.00 more than the highest price paid by the many neighbors on my block who have had cleanouts installed. I was given a price of $1600.00 by one of the other plumbers who has put in a cleanout on this street, but because Black Mountain?s quote was lower, and because of the deceptively high rating for this company on Angie?s List, I have now lost $260.00, which I paid for nothing since Dave knew exactly where to dig without running the camera, and so have all the other plumbers who have put in cleanouts on my street. The photos of where the cleanout should be installed, which the plumber provided to me, are all I got for $260.00 and a wasted afternoon of my time, which is actually very important to me. I recommend not doing business with this company. Their written estimates and Bible verse references seem to be meaningless.

Made an appointment a few days in advance, showed-up on-time during regular hours. Replaced washer water inlet valves (2) and adjusted toilet overflow setting; one-hour of labor total; I provided replacement valves (2) from mfg. = $181.65 ($59 to Angie's list for special price and $122.65 to plumber directly.)

/On July 7, after a long hot 4th of July weekend, I needed a plumber right away. I called Black Mountain Plumbing. The lady on the phone said she would check to see if any one was near and might be available. In short order she told me someone would call me and be here in about 30 minutes. Solomon called, said he would be here in 10 and was on time. Solomon assessed my problem and we agreed that I needed a new toilet. I thought the same brand would be fine but I asked Solomon what would he recommends. He recommended another and after some discussion we decided on his recommendation. Solomon checked with his shop and placed the order. We decided on the next day about 4pm for installation Solomon arrived a little after 4pm the next day and was accompanied by Daniel. Working together they removed the old toilet,worked on the water supply line, checked out all things necessary before installing the new toilet. All the work was done without any disruption to the household. Everything was clean, and I am very pleased with the toilet recommendation that Solomon made. If I ever need a plumber again, I will call Black Mountain Plumbing, and ask for Solomon and/or Daniel. (Good Bible Names)

I had noticed a leak the previous night and called the company the next morning and they were able to have someone come out to the house that day. The time window was between noon and 4pm and they called and showed up right at noon. I was pleased with the job and would use them again in the future.

Travis was right on time and very friendly. He tested our water pressure, removed the old faucet and installed the new faucet in about 45 minutes. After he was done, he had me look at the faucet so I could inspect it. He was polite and courteous and I would be happy to have him back if the need for a plumber arises again.

I called Black Mountain Plumbing about changing the WPV. They gave me a appointment for the next afternoon. Larry, with Black Mountain Plumbing, arrived on time with everything he needed. He did a great job cutting the old one out and a beautiful soldering job in a very tight spot. Larry was very professional and no doubt knew what he was doing. I don't have any problem with their work, it was right on, but next time I would get more bids.

I called Black Mountain Plumbing about my problem and got a next day appointment. Larry, from Black Mountain, showed up on time with everything he needed. With not much room to work, he cut off the old soldered on regulator and installed the new one quickly. Larry did a beautiful soldering job in such a small area. Larry was friendly and efficient. Once we checked the water pressure, Larry was off to another job and I was back in the house with no worries.

Black Mountain Plumbing did a great job on resolving the many issues at my house! Solomon was knowledgeable and professional. Great job!

The plumber was very nice and friendly. He replaced soldered on faucets with threaded ones. Charged extra but it should help decrease costs in the future.

The plumber who responded couldn't have been nicer. He was dressed in a clean uniform which told me he obviously took pride in his appearance. I had previously purchased some new faucets to replace the ones we had. Upon examination, the plumber pointed out the new faucets would not fit in the basin as they were the wrong size. This meant I would have to drive to Home Depot and return the ones I had bought and buy a new set. I would also have to pay for his time while he waited. While talking, he discovered what I really wanted was the device which you pull to open the drain, and push to stop up the drain repaired. He said he could do that, anbd it would save me the cost of a new faucet ($124). He then told me it would cost around $140, which I thought was rather steep, but I authorized the repair. He repaired the device in about 25 minutes. He gave me the old device and showed me where it had worn ojut. He did the job quickly and efficiently. He tested the repair and cleaned up the area completely. I could not have been happier with the plumber or the job he did, just the high cost of the repair. However, in spite of the high cost, the confidence that the job would be done professionally was well worth the cost, and I would go to him again.

Two plumbers were sent out. They were on time and neat in their work. The biggest part of the job (and of the bill) was installing a new pressure-reducing value, which involved cutting the old one out and soldering in a new one. The configuration of the new one allows me to unscrew it and replace it myself in the future, which is great. Everything is now working as it should. No complaints.
