Very pleased with service provided. Timely scheduling of work. Workers were prompt and finished job in one afternoon, even stayed beyond usual quitting time to finish. Workers were very professional and workmanship very good - pleasant to deal with. Cost of job was reasonable - in fact about 30% less than competitor also on Angie's list. Will use for future plumbing needs.

My irrigation system failed and flooded the back yard in the middle of the night. I shut off the water and called for service first thing in the morning. Solomon came out an hour and a half later, and promptly both fixed the problem and gave me tips for handling any similar situation that might occur in the future. This included locating my backyard shutoff valve for me and replacing the missing handle to the shutoff valve, as well as capping the pipe to the irrigation system in such a way as to make it as easy as possible to replace the irrigation system in the future. Solomon also showed me a better way to shut off water to the house, should a middle-of-the-night emergency happen again.

Great. I called in the morning and Daniel was here by noon as expected. The job was completed within half an hour. He explained things well, answered all my questions and told me what to look for in the future. He also checked the water pressure and determined it was fine.

Two guys came. Daniel Kent and Joey. I had no water pressure in my house. They found old regulators and replaced them. There had also been a drain problem. They had to dig to find the clean outs. They cleared the drain and installed covers for my clean outs so that it will be easy next time. They worked for several hours .we had to call the city of San Diego to shut off their water ... I was very pleased with everything. That's why today I had them back at another property. Today Black Mountain Plumbing came to another property I own and did an equally great job. Again we needed a regulator replaced. Solomon Nwasua came and took care of us. Cost was $459 which included $200 for the regulator. Again I was very pleased.

The bathroom faucet was leaking and under the sink there was also a leak and the right angle valve for the hot side was broken. I called on a Thursday, and they provided the service for us the next day, Daniel provided an estimate & options to purchase at a lower cost and he was very quick. Everything took only less than 1 hour and the bathroom was very clean afterwards and the service was guaranteed. Would probably request Daniel's services again but the cost was too high. With Angie's List we got a %10 discount.

I had contacted another plumbing company who came out, looked at the job, and promised to get back to me with a quote. One week later, still no answer, so I called Black Mtn. Plumbing. I got a price over the phone with the 10% discount as an Angie's member. Travis showed up the next day and finished the job in a very timely and professional manner. It's clean, correct, and no more drips. Plumbing repairs are so expensive, and the price is probably fair. It's hard to know without several quotes, but I just wanted to get it done. I would definitely call Black Mountain Plumbing again.

No complaints at all, fast and efficient and the plumber who came out was enterprising in terms of finding spare parts that would work

Showed up on time for inspection appointment on Wednesday and gave me detailed estimate. Gave suggestions of what needed to be done as well as things NOT to do, so they were did solicit unneeded work. Very cool. Called and made appointment for needed work, and they scheduled 2 days later. Showed up on time and completed all work within a few hours. Provided suggestions at my request for optimal fixtures, garbage disposal, etc for my newly acquired fixer upper house. They did excellent work, clean, courteous, and professional.

Daniel arrived promptly at about 3 pm, within the 2-4 pm agreed-upon time window, and inspected the faucet. He noted that the faucet had originally been installed incorrectly by the original contractor, i.e., against wood, so that the whole faucet , which was loose in its seating, could be tightened, but that it may come loose again as the wood contracts and expands. He then turned off the angle stops, and installed the two new brass cartridges and adjusted the faucet until the faucet no longer drips. He then gave me an estimate for installing the grab bar soap shelf in my shower ($186.15), and another estimate for replacing the hot and cold angle stops below the kitchen sink (the same, $186.15), explaining the processes involved so I would know what the jobs entailed. He also helped me with a new shower head. I decided to have the shower shelf-bar installed soon, but maybe wait on the the angle stops. Daniel was a very courteous, efficient, and competent workman, and appeared quite experienced. He also explained everything in a clear and concise way, so I knew and understood the options and what to expect. I would highly recommend Black Mountain Plumbing and Daniel Kent to anyone, and will definitely use them again and soon.

Dan called when on his way and showed up on time. He explained different options- fixing current toilet or replacement. Since I have been having ongoing trouble with the toilet and knew the problem would likely continue even if repaired, I opted to have it replaced. Dan located a toilet (not a typical size) and made a quick run to pick it up. I had planned to go with the kids to the fair today so Dan installed the new toilet and cleaned up very quickly so we could hit the road. The whole process went smoothly, even from the initial call. I called yesterday afternoon and was able to get an appointment today at 0730. I have used this company in the past and will use them again in the future.

Daniel called to let me know his approximate ETA. He showed up at the time he said he would. He introduced himself and handed me his business card. I told him what needed to be fixed and he got straight to work. What I appreciated about Daniel is that he explain to me what it was he was doing. He educated me a bit about what might of cause the valve to go bad. When Daniel was finished he cleaned up his work area and finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. Daniel did a good job. Thanks. I will call Black Mountain Plumbing again.

Daniel was punctual and very professional. He explained the plumbing issue thoroughly. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He also checked our water pressure and heater just to be proactive with any future plumbing issues. He did not pressure in soliciting future services, but just very informative to help homeowners like me. He also mentioned a coupon in the internet from his company to help me save money.

We were very impressed with Robert's knowledge and professionalism. We have worked with several plumbers in over 20 years in Scripps Ranch -- Black Mountain was far and away the best in terms of competence and customer service. Robert replaced 2 sinks, 2 faucets, and 2 toilets. There were some complications in our 30 year old house, but Robert was able to explain exactly and in detail what was going on and made the extra effort to make sure the job was done right. Answered all our concerns. We highly recommend Black Mountain, and will be using them in the future.

Service was very responsive. Kevin was very professional and patiently answered our many questions. He recommended an excellent flood remediation specialist (Gold Coast Flood Restorations) and drywall repair man (Keith of KC Drywall). All 3 contractors were great, and our house was completely back to normal within 7 days.

Took a couple calls to get them to respond. Overall I say B only because I feel they could have had more options for replaced faucet handles and question the cost/decisions (this is just my opinion of course). The rep was professional, punctual and very courteous. Seemed very knowledgable but I did feel he was somewhat mechanical on trying to sell me more than what I need and every question was a price comparison of something more expensive "or" I can just do this? hmmm. Just tell me what I need and what is best? I feel I was left to wonder what was best as what costs more isnt always best. I feel like the tech installed faucet handles too similar to what I had before and yet it cost me double what I had another plumber install to another faucet outside that was stripped. The faucets work so for now Im pleased Im just confused why he didnt install a different more robust handle? In all fairness though he did add an adapter and let me know that would cost more but I wouldnt have to "weld" off in future if we had further leaks. What I dont get is I had another faucet outside that was replaced earlier by another plumber and he put a completely different handle for much less that looks more robust and also doesnt require to be welded? I asked him to put that one on the other two but he said they dont stock those? oh well. Tech redid my entire inside toilet bowl to fix randomly running. Again, more expensive than my other toilet I had fixed but he did replace more parts and all works.

We discovered a leak with our water heater late Sunday night. I left a message for Black Mountain Plumbing that night and they got back to me first thing on Monday. Daniel and Joel were out here by 1pm and were all done by 3pm. They were really helpful in explaining all my options and recommendations for the future.

Based on the reviews on Angie's List I decided to use Black Mountain Plumbing to install the plumbing for my dishwasher and new kitchen sink after I had new countertops installed. I called 10 days prior to the day I needed the installation performed and was told a plumber would be at my house between 12 - 4 pm on Friday afternoon. I took the entire afternoon off of work to wait for the plumber to arrive. At 3 pm I called their office to make sure someone was still coming and I was told they were and a plumber would be calling me shortly to let me know he was on the way. At 3:45 I received a call from the plumber indicating he was just leaving north county on the way to my house in Pt Loma. At 4:45 I received a call from a different plumber stating he would now be coming instead. He arrived at my house at 6 pm - 2 hours after the scheduled window. I had to cancel dinner plans that night to wait for him and once he arrived and looked at my plumbing he told me he would need to shut off the water to my kitchen. Since I live in a condo I then had to run around the building and tell all my neighbors that the water had to be shut off to their kitchens - at 6:30 on a Friday. It took him about 2 hours to get the work done and he left my house at 8:20 that night. The plumber was very competent and he did a good job with the actual plumbing work, but the customer service I received from Black Mountain was terrible. I was told two other clients had cancelled that day because the plumbers were running so far behind. It seems like the company over extended itself and took on more jobs than they were able to accomplish. This was extremely frustrating because 1) I had booked the work over a week in advance, and 2) had to take leave from my job for the entire afternoon. I never received a call from the company to apprise me of the delay in advance or to apologize. I would not recommend using Black Mountain Plumbing unless you have an entire day (and night) to wait around for someone to show up.

It went very well. Soloman called to say he was coming and would be arriving at my townhouse in 15 minutes and was right on time. As Black Mountain Plumbing is the plumbing company that my association uses, he was familiar with what needed to be done. Checked the situation and gave me the price. I received a 10% discount with my Angie's List Coupon. He was fast, efficient, personable and the job was done and he was out the door in 34 minutes. Can't ask for anything better than that.

This went great! Solomon arrived right on time, called before he came to confirm, and quickly and professionally resolved the problem for the basic trip charge (or equal). He traced the leak under the fridge to a faulty filter mechanism, and easily got us going again. No problem since. He also advised us on slow drains in a couple locations around the house. Also helpful, and no extra charge for steering us in the right direction. Would gladly hire this firm again for service plumbing.

Daniel arrived on time and proceeded to explain how he was going to trouble shoot the ceiling stain I had called them for. He explained he would need to cut the drywall in the ceiling. He found the culprit, ( a small pinhole leak in copper pipe). I had shown him the stain and also the bathtub upstairs where the fixtures seemed to be loose. Daniel had to crawl up into the ceiling over my washer into a tight hole to reach and repair the pipe. Once that was done he asked if I wanted the valve rebuilt in the bathtub and told me the cost. I said yes so he went to his truck. He came back and said he had new fixtures he could put in if I wanted. I told him it was already after 5:00 pm and I wanted it done, but did he have time? He said not to worry, he had time to do the job. Daniel was here until after 6:00 pm and was nothing put courteous and polite. He did an excellent job. He gave me recommendations to have the drywall repaired. He went over and above to make the experience a good one.

Black Mountain Plumbing is the company we call for all of our plumbing needs. They are prompt and get the job done. All plumbers are expensive, so their price is the same as others and sometimes better.

Black Mountain Plumbing installed a new 50gal. hot water heater - great job! The old heater broke on Friday night ? tank failure. Luckily the heater is located in the garage, and we already had a drain pan, and drain pipe, so there was no property damage (the pan filled and drained properly). I called BMP on Saturday morning, and in less than 2 hours, they were on-site installing the new heater. This work included new copper pigtails for the water, and new gas pigtail. Other improvements (per code) were made that were not present in the old system: Installation of iron gas pipe with debris trap; hot water expansion tank; better earthquake stabilization. The new heater is WAY better than the old one. LED status indicator; efficiency; Made in the USA. The installer, Solomon, gets highest ratings from me. He took the time to explain the additions and improvements (already factored into the estimate), and graciously answered all my homeowner questions (I?m a very curious person on ?how things work?). He consulted with me every step of the way, especially in regard to the mounting location of the new HW expansion tank, the new earthquake stabilization, and the details of the drain pan. He also walked us through proper operation and maintenance. I now consider BMP and Solomon my ?go-to? plumber for all future plumbing needs. Thanks, Solomon!
