I felt a bit pressured by Mr. Beck. He is certainly knowledgeable but I didn't feel like I was being "heard." I didn't seek his service after the estimate.

The job was great. Martin was honest and upfront about the costs and the various ways to perform the job. He gave us three ways to have the job done, telling us the pros, cons and the costs involved with each. He also said "if this was my house this is how I'd do it". He allowed us to keep the estimates and call him if we wanted to schedule the work. We took his advice even though we did not like the suggestion. It turns out that he was absolutely correct. He really knows his business. His crew was on time, friendly, and did exactly what they were supposed to.

Mr. Beck came over on time. Gave 2 or 3 options to run power, along with quotes. We set a later date for installation. His employee came over on the agreed time. He explained what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. He had to drill through concrete (I was wondering how he was going to get power from point A to B). Ensured where I wanted the receptacle installed. A while later it was complete - professionally. Now I have another receptacle to be installed after the holidays.

The service was excellent. Mr. Beck returned my call right away, we scheduled the work within a few days, and the serviceman arrived right on schedule. The job took longer than expected, but he stuck with it and left everything spotless. His estimate and charge were very reasonable compared to others. We had a minor problem afterwards, and they came back immediately (the next day) and fixed it.

Fast response, kept to estimate and great work. Great clean up. Friendly and professional people. Took care of everything from beginning to end.

Owner Martin Beck is knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Although he will arrive promptly, allow extra time for his estimating visit because he may launch into several stories about his admittedly fascinating life. His technician also was prompt and performed competently on these relatively straightforward tasks. One quibble: He should have covered more of the work area with sheets and tarps, since quite a bit of wallboard dust remained to be cleaned up after the job.

Martin is super easy to work with. Throughout the project he and his crew communicated with us excellently. They always called ahead of their arrival, cleaned up their working areas and were polite and patient. Martin came up with many great ideas, is very knowledgeable and educated us on lighting outputs and energy saving possibilities. Great experience, good people with skills and refreshing attitude.

The process is actually in three phases. The first phase is getting the estimate. Mr. Beck does this himself and as he is a very busy man, the scheduling of an appointment was not immediate. After rescheduling our first meeting once due to work related issues, we received our estimate. He arrived on-time, was very knowledgeable and personable and seemed to understand what I wanted. Part two is receiving the estimate. I cannot really say if the price was comparable with other electrical contractors as I did not solicit others. It seemed fair for the work we were requesting. We received the estimate via e-mail. I mentioned earlier that he seemed to understand what I was requesting but after receiving the estimate, he had written down (and estimated?) the wrong work for the kitchen portion. (a recessed light instead of pendant) The estimating portion could be improved. Phase three, the actual work, was outstanding. Professional, on-time, quality and detail minded. Excellent job!

Martin Beck gave us a ''not to exceed'' bid on the job. It took him much longer than expected, but he made sure the job was done to his high standards.

I would say the job went really good overall. Martin was responsive to my initial call. He was able to come out to my house in a rather short period of time. He also was able to provide some really good recommendations for the lighting layout in my kitchen. Most electricians don't want to spend the time talking and thinking through the plan, but he was more than willing. I liked him enough to have him back to install three more lights in my hallway. He listens to the customer and will take the extra step to make sure they re happy. The only recommendation I would make to him is that they could be more careful to cover things when they cut through drywall. This makes a mess and when they did it in my kitchen it got all over my stove which was very difficult to clean up. Overall, I rate him an A, I would recommend him, and plan use him again if I ever need anything else done.

I chose Beck Electric based on Angie's List and The Better Business Bureau. I called Mr. Beck when we lost power on Saturday morning, and he returned my call first thing Monday morning. Although a technician was available to come at 10 am that morning, we opted to wait until Tuesday morning so that Mr Beck could do the work estimates in addition to the repair work. He was on time, polite, and helpful. As long as his bid is competitive, I will use his company for our additional work, as I was pleased with the service call.

Martin is extremely easy to work with. I had called 5 other electric businesses (none from Angie's List) and not one of them bothered to show up. They didn't even call me to cancel. Martin not only showed up, but called beforehand to tell me he was running late, for which he apologized. He evaluated the job and discussed what needed to be done. He never spoke down to me and treated me like an intelligent person! I would definitely recommend Beck Electric!

Fortunately he assessed by phone the repair was immediately necessary. Instant response, rearranged his schedule to accommodate, professional, very very capable, pleasant, absolutely fair price. Excellent work and fast too. Beck is on the top of my list.

Mr. Beck was on time - even a few minutes early both times. He was efficient; pleasant and professional. His price was very reasonable for the time he spent on the job. I have already recommended him to friends.

Overall, I would rate this a good experience. There were 2 visits and both instances, the workers showed up on time. The first time, the electrician, Zach cut the holes and ran the wires. There were parts missing from the recessed light kits that I bought so he didn't finish the job that day. I was not there to supervise because I had to go to work. I was a little annoyed because I gave him my cell phone number and begged him to call me for any problem whatsoever. I could have run out and got the missing parts or new kits if he had called. Anyway, he did a good job of not cutting anymore holes in my ceiling and wall than necessary. Two days later a different electrician came out to put in the lights and install the ceiling fan in the kitchen. He was friendly and courteous. I think his name was Shawn (Sean). The owner, Martin Beck was very professional to talk on the phone.

As usual, Beck Electric was responsive, professional and on-time. They are always very professional and do not waste time. Martin himself came this time and quickly diagnosed that the wiring at the box was at fault. It had been improperly wired up. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. No fuss, no muss. I give him A+ for promptness and responsiveness.

Excellent! Great meeting with Martin. He took me through entire process and gave us several options. Zack came out today and worked steadily all day and got the job done beautifully. Appointments were kept promptly, the worksite was left clean and neat, professionalism was excellent. Beck Electric is great!

Excellent experience - he came out same day I called. Did the work in 1/2 hour. This is the second time I've used him and was as pleased the second time as the first. UPDATE: 10-17-11 Beck electric came out today to install some recess lights in my bedroom. I was very happy with the results. I would recommend them again. - 4 recessed halogen lights and installation of dimmer was $450.

An appointment was scheduled and when i called to confirm 5 days prior the owner had no record. He refused to fit me and/or find a viable alternative. It is really disappointing considering I have several appointments condition Don getting the electircal work done timely. i do not recommend using this company.

Martin Beck (the owner) came on time and fixed my electrical problem quickly and professionally. I will use his company again for other electrical repairs.

This company was very satisfactory. They were on time, and on budget. He found the problem and installed the fixtures all within the first half hour - his minimum charge. He was fast, friendly and courteous.

Martin is very quick to respond and gets the job done in a very timely and professional manner. Honest about what work does need or does not need to be done.

Martin was great, fast, and on time. I will recommend him. My electrician retired, and I was looking for someone to replace him... I found his replacement.

Zak came out very quickly, which was great. He was very professional and focused. He found our problem within an hour (it was a really dumb mistake on our part, but he found it and fixed it!). I will certainly recommend them to others.

EXCELLENT service. Electrician was right on time and did the work perfectly. Very clean, and customer service was excellent also. I would highly recommend them.
